best food and best service for lebanses food in jordan , the staff is very friendly especially our table attendant Mohammed Shehdeh was so professional in service and overall thsi hotel is super for all means
Stayed here for a night when transiting in Amman this August. The property has become very dated and needs significant capital investment to bring it to 21st century. Somehow my deluxe pool view suite had a view of parking lot. Must have been an oversight of that lady working the Ambassador desk that was fiddling with the Facebook on her mobile when I arrived. The AC didn't work well and the suite was too hot to sleep comfortably. You can only change the temperature by +- 3 celcius and it didn't seem to do anything. Not sure what was "deluxe" on that suite. The Royal Ambassador welcome letter and local gift were missing. Hotel doesn't appear to be very well organized.
I have stayed at many hotels traveling for both business and pleasure and I can honestly say that The Intercontinental in Amman Jordan is right at the top of the list. The service at the hotel is first class. From the Front Desk, The Chef, the waitress /waiters to house cleaning personnel. There wasn't anything I wanted for. Ahmad . S was the best. He insured that my room was perfect and that I had adequate supplies. The rooms are modern and very comfortable. The location is perfect, within walking distance to all of the great sights and restaurants. Highly recommended to both business travelers and couples.
InterContinental Amman is by far one of the nicest, and most friendly staff hotel, I have traveled to this hotel many times for the past 5 years I'm overwhelmed at the superb service offered, returning to Intercon Amman feels like coming home, live at this hotel is so smooth and pleasant due to the caring, hardworking, friendly and cooperative staff who provides a superb service; each individual of the breakfast crew is great they all welcome you with a smile and make sure you have everything you need and made breakfast very enjoyable each one of them is so friendly, what a good place to start your day, the front desk crew as well as the concierge are great, I am impressed with this wonderful hotel it’s always clean and classy, my super friendly room attendants Muhammad Abo Sha`ira, Isam and Hamza al Khateeb gone above and beyond making sure the room was always spotless and every need in my room was met, excellent work; the wonderful team at the 8th floor lounge are great their friendly attitude, wonderful smile, and expertise is and always been the top. Mr. Bassam I cannot thank him enough for helping and for his hard work in managing the hotel InterCon’s location is excellent, close to a lot of restaurants, Taj Mall, the delicious Nafeesa sweets and walking distance to rainbow street where you can find many restaurants and shops, if you enjoy walking then you’ll enjoy the walk to the old city from the hotel “about an hour” thank you allllllll for your incredible professionalism and for making my time so perfect.
My kids love pool, they spend all the day on it. the Pool staff are friendly and cooperative. My wife enjoyed the SPA services (massage, wet & dry areas) The room was very clean and comfortable. If something i would like to change is the Valet Service it is far below the Intercontinental Standard.
Attentive and friendly staff – they make you feel like family. My room attendant, Moayad, ensured every need in my room was met - excellent work, the room was always top notch! Samer, Wissam, Areej and the dinning staff made breakfast very enjoyable – in particular Wisam and Areej whose thoughtfulness and welcoming attitude made breakfast an event to look forward to. The entire staff was equally as thoughtful and provided excellent care while I had my wife accompany me on this trip and they ensured it was indeed memorable. Finally the gym staff was, as always, exceptional. The team always remembers me, makes me feel like family and ensures all my fitness, recreation and relaxation needs are not only met but exceeded. Yanal, Jawad, Ameer and Qays have become valued friends and I look forward to their exceptional work and friendship in future visits. While attending the manager’s reception I was able to reconnect with old friends in the Lounge. Bartool, Maen, Hartham and Ragheb (I may have goofed this fine gentleman’s name and if so – sorry!) made sure the visit was wonderful and every need for myself and my colleagues was met. I also had the opportunity to visit Cinco de Mayo and the staff there was likewise awesome and particularly noteworthy was the service of Odai and Raman. These interactions are EXACTLY what a family has with each other in the home and I consider the Intercon staff as my brothers and sisters while I am away from my home. Thanks again, Intercontinental-Jordan, for making my time here while doing my work ever so perfect. Do not change a thing! Intercontinental-Jordan is superb just the way it is!
The fitness area, pool and room service were all very good. The lounge on the 8th floor was excellent with snacks, food, and beverages available at all times. The staff there were great, especially Sara, Batool, Maen, and Haitham. I would stay there again and have already recommended it to others traveling to Amman.
Whilst the service at most of the hotel's facilities and restaurants is compatible with the standards of a 5-star hotel, the car valet service at the Intercontinental Amman Hotel is terribly poor and may be described as shameful. I visited the hotel on 11 August 2017, to attend a wedding of a dear friend and to begin with, the wait time for handing my car to the concerned valet employee lasted for over 10 minutes and the car queue extended to the main street due to the insufficient number of valet employees. Also, upon asking as to how long my car will take to be returned upon request, the employee further expressed “30 minutes”. Unfortunately, the quality of valet service provided by the Intercontinental Amman is indescribably terrible as opposed to that provided by other 5-star hotels in Amman such as the Four Seasons. The Four Seasons valet service is beyond description, it is an artistic service, you feel like all the employees are just standing there waiting for you to arrive and welcome you. They have an ABUNDANT number of employees parking the cars of the hotel guests and visitors, employees who stand like an array of soldiers that you’d just want to sit and watch their professionalism, efficiency and organisation at providing you with the car park service. Not to mention of course their preparation at nights where an event is taking place at the hotel, the number of employees are doubled to ensure the quality of their service. This is all INEXISTENT at the Intercontinental Amman. The Intercontinental is by all means horrible at this service. Adding insult to injury, and when asked about why their car park service is too slow, their answer was that they're so busy today and they have a wedding!! Really? Shouldn't a 5 star hotel be expecting and ready at all times to manage busy times especially ON A WEEKEND AND ALSO GIVEN THAT THERE IS A WEDDING! Any 5-star hotel should be ready to grant you a 5star compatible valet service without excuses and long wait times. It is totally unexplainable for me and hard to fathom that on busy days, they get super occupied and cannot accommodate the hotel guests. Well, i suggest you inform your guests that the rating of a 5 star hotel does not apply on all services you provide because your valet service doesn’t deserve a star! Shameful and unexplainable. Further, and upon receiving my car from the valet employee, I had instantly returned my copy of the valet card with a gratuitous 2 JOD payment (noting that I had assumed that the valet service is a complimentary service in line with 5 star hotel standards) and sat in my car. Prior to proceeding with my story, it is worthy to mention for those of you reading my review that according to custom practice in Amman, the valet service in 5-star hotels such as the four seasons and others is complimentary and should it not be complimentary elsewhere, it is normal practice to be charged 1 JOD. Recently, some places are requesting 2 JOD’s and sometimes in certain places and restaurants you can ask to have your car parked at a VIP lot (usually at the door of the venue) for a maximum of 5 JOD. Picking up on what happened after I paid the wrongly assumed gratitutious payment, the valet employee requested an additional Dinar expressing that the service is provided at a cost of 3 JOD and continuing “the terms and conditions under the valet card you received says its 3 JOD’s” I regretfully didn’t have another Dinar in cash (I was short on cash) and the valet wouldn’t take visa! I accordingly asked the employee whether i can pass by the next day to deliver the remaining sum. I received no answer from the valet employee as to the possibility of coming in the next day to settle my debt! In such silence, I had confirmed to him that i will be coming tomorrow and apologised for not having the needed cash and have also expressed in light of his silence that such service in the first place should be provided as complimentary as the case is in most of the well reputable 5 star hotels in Amman as otherwise it would be against the standards of 5 star hotels (this i have learnt from the very reputable, customer caring, generous and very hospitable valet employees of the four seasons hotel in amman). After saying so, I received a defensive response from the valet employee expressing that all 5 star hotels charge and I said no, the four seasons doesn’t. Unfortunately however, the employee continued to argue with me, ignorantly, that the four seasons valet service is not complimentary and he knows better than I do.. but in fact, he is mistaken and even if the service at other 5 star hotels in amman isn’t complimentary, such an incident WILL NEVER BE DEALT WITH IN SUCH A MANNER! Our argument was regretfully an embarrassing one as i am a frequent visitor of the hotel restaurants’ and a persistent request of a Dinar for a service which is supposed to be complimentary was shameful.. I remember once my friend didn’t have change to pay a valet employee of a mediocre place in Boulevard Amman, and the employee refused to receive her 50 JOD to only take their charge of 1 JOD, they told my friend back then “please you don’t have to pay, we hope you enjoyed your time, you can pay us next time” - this happened at a restaurant and not a hotel as opposed to embarrassing a guest for one Jordanian dinar. Thank you intercontinental, I will not use your valet service again, and I will make sure during my daily errands in Amman that I hold a sufficient amount of cash to face ugly situations such as todays! The intercontinental is providing a non complimentary terrible and above average priced service! What a wonderful 5-star representing service! I was fascinated to be honest with the employee’s bluntness and the graceless request for an additional Dinar and the employees silence as to receiving the 1 JOD the next day. Terrible terrible terrible! I will never use their valet service, whether its theirs or outsourced as it still represents the hotel for me. By: Dana
Great atmosphere for both family's and parties! The food was great , in both presentation and taste! All was greatly cooked. The staff , including the waiters ( fareed and rahahle ) were great in dealing with the fuss of the kids. Great night.
I attended a reception party (wedding). Such a magnificent place in the midst of Amman. Highly recommended standard. I also visited Burj Alhamam restaurant (not the same visit). The food here in general is delicious. Prices are expected for a 5-star hotel. The value is high though
