This is one of several visits to Amman, this hotel being my usual accommodation and I have to say in all my visits here I have always been well looked after by all the staff and even although my last visit was just over a year ago was recognized at breakfast. I have been able even at this time of year (March) make use of the outside pool though on my previous visits used the heated inside pool as well. The gym is well equipped and I have made full use it after being help by staff in what was the appropriate equipment to use. In previous visits when I had company we made use of several nearby restaurants though you had to be careful crossing the roads. On this visit I have used all the hotel restaurants and enjoyed every meal. Amman at this time has a lot dust around but I have noticed it is a lot greener than my other visits. Unfortunately as I am working I have not been able to do any sightseeing so not able to comment on that.
I have stayed at intercontinental Amman hotel for four months,I would like to comment how pleased I was with the service provided to me by entire hotel staff. During my recent trip I was fortunate enough to stay at your intercontinental Amman hotel. I have stayed at many hotels across in many countries and have found this hotel pretty good and the staff generally friendly. -special thanks for all the club lounge stuff, they are very professional stuff, specially for MAEN, ADHAM and RAOUF they really make my stay better and enjoyable.the quality of the food, desserts and drinks is very good, the view from the top is amazing and relaxing view. -I want and I found it is necessary to express my appreciation and thanks for the superior service I received during my stay from Miss: FARAH from the guest relation service. I found she is very helpful, professional and deserve a great deal of praise for their excellent guest service. The staff maintained a positive attitude and ensured I felt welcome during my stay. She treated me with dignity and respect. I was amazed at the consistency in her performance and willingness to go the extra mile, I will share my wonderful experience and recommend this hotel to my friends and work colleagues. -Thank you and your staff for making my stay a great one, I will definitely stay in intercontinental Amman again.
First off, the room was good. Nice and spacious, but I got two separate queen size beds instead if just a regular large bed/king size I’m assuming was booked by the firm on advance. Not sure why the receptionist made the swap. In any case, nothing was lacking in way of amendeties, though the shower area could use a scrub down. It is a five star hotel after all. Service by the front desk was good. Didn’t really eat in the hotel on account of having other plans. Because it is “winter” and only 25-30 degrees celsius, the pool was closed. I did find that slightly funny. Though not as funny as paying 12-15 JOD for a coffee and a small beer.. Somehow, even after paying for my coffee, they managed to put the cost on to my final bill, something I only noticed after I came home. The hotel is good enough, but everything is extra. Breakfast is not included and cost a hugh amount of money, food there seemed overpriced and drinks also, more than I would expect from a Middle Eastern country. And yeah, don’t go through guests luggage and bags while they are away from the room. Whoever did that, did not hide it well enough.
Great location V welcoming staff Nice business lounge Hanan Saka is quite and efficient Mohamed Abu Shika in HK goes beyond what is required And Ashraf of the front office is the highlight of every trip friendly smiling goes the extra mile The coffee people and valets outside give you the sense of coming home I enjoyed it :)
We spent 2 nights here in March 2018 at the start of a weeks tour of Jordan. A very professional well run city hotel. Beds extremely comfortable in a surprisingly quiet hotel. Eat in the Mexican restaurant on the second night and had excellent food and drink. Not cheap but worth the money.
Stayed at the InterContinental while on business in Amman. Very much enjoyed the quality hotel, the atmosphere and the attentive service. The InterContinental is an upscale hotel in a good location in Amman. It is enclosed in a secured compound, but once through the security checks, one feels welcome in the large open lobby area on the first floor. Multiple services are offered there, including breakfast area, restaurant, gift shop, bar, cafe and more. The decor is bright and welcoming with some local historical references. The room I had was large and comfortable. The bed was very good, the desk large enough to support real work and the bathroom was very large. The shower was in the tub, which is always slightly sub optimal, but no problem. Everything was clean and worked very well. Service was amazing from start to finish; professional and friendly. Would be very happy to stay at the InterContinental again when in Amman.
We stayed for 6 nights - booked a Club room, and couldn't fault the hotel or the friendly staff, especially the staff in the Club Lounge - with special mentions for Ruba, Maen, Adham, Obada, Raouf and Chef Malek - who are a real credit to the hotel for their friendliness and customer service, it was a real pleasure using the lounge. If we visit Amman again we would not stay anywhere else, and we have no hesitation in recommending the hotel to friends and family.
Stayed 1 night with my wife as the last night of a 6 day tour of Jordan. The great thing about this hotel was the staff... the concierge; room cleaner; check out ... everyone is extremely helpful. I actually would say that a great deal of the staff really really seem to care about their guests. But then again in Jordan I noticed just about everyone is friendly and helpful, an outstanding country culture. I would rate the staff 5 star. Food was good ( we ate breakfast, lunch and dinner there and room was fine although bathroom was dated. Oddly the view from our room was very poor but this was not a major issue but please check this as it was a shock when I opened the curtains!
We stayed one night at this hotel in January. It had Christmas decorations as well as a Bedouin serving tea in the lobby. The atmosphere is very welcoming and the staff was very helpful and attentive. It is a great choice among hotels in Amman and prices are very reasonable.
Great hotel: convenient location, friendly and professional staff throughout, excellent food, comfortable rooms with efficient room service. One caveat: could make much better use of their precious outside space; despite excellent weather, outside terraces and pool were all closed...disappointing.
