I think all rooms come with the stunning view, if not the roof restaurant and swimming pool also have it. Our room was large and comfortable. The staff are very friendly and helpful. And let's not forget, this is in Positano, one of the most beautiful coastal locations in Italy!
Based on all the great reviews here we booked this hotel for 3 nights at the end of our 2 week Italy trip. We were really looking forward to staying here. We booked a room with a hot tub and terrace and were given a room on the 3rd floor, the hot tub, terrace and view were nice, but the room was dated and dingy, the bed was hard (even for Italy) and the sheets & bed-spread paper thin. I woke in the middle of the night freezing, we went to get the extra blanket in the closet and it was stained and dirty. When we woke the first morning there was a huge cockroach in our room. We did find most of the staff to be very warm and welcoming with the exception of one gentleman– who when I asked for restaurant suggestions told me the only restaurant he could recommend was theirs. Having eaten breakfast and lunch at their restaurant we were not impressed with the food and preferred to go elsewhere. When I asked him if he would make a reservation for us at a nearby restaurant, he stated “that is where all the Americans go” but did make the reservation for us. Overalll not as good as I expected especially considering the price.
The hotel sits up the hill a bit from the beach/center of town, so it is a bit of a hike up very steep hills and steps to get to. That said, it is worth the walk, with stunning views of the bay and town. The staff were all very friendly and welcoming, and the room was spacious with a HUGE terrace. The pool on the roof is a great place to hang out and look out over the sea. Breakfast was very good, if a bit heavy on bread and cakes for American tastes. The room was a little dated and the A/C leaked (they came up and fixed it twice), but was very clean and included fresh flowers, a nice touch. We also found the tv very difficult to figure out. We would definitely recommend this hotel to Positano visitors!
The room and decor felt quite dated. However, the balcony was very nice, with a great view overlooking Positano. The bathroom was also nice, although we tried but were unable to get many of the shower features (steam, massage) to work. Service was good, and the staff was friendly and helpful. Overall, even though we visited during high season (when all prices are high), we felt the hotel was overpriced given the accommodations.
I think there are better options out there for this price. Especially in the summer and with a very small pool, it is not the most convenient choice-food is mediocre-room looks dated and dingy-staff was WONDERFUL
My family and I stayed at Eden Roc Hotel in Positano and had the most amazing time. The service was top notch especially at the restaurant called Adamo ed Eva both in the afternoon with Fernando and the special evening dinner we had with Carlo and Fabio our waiters. The hotel is on the main street so prime location to get to the beach and docks. The views from the hotel were spectacular. We loved our stay. Thank you.
In the beginning of July we stayed at Villa Eden with family and friends, a property managed by Hotel Eden Roc. In addition to renting an absolutely beautiful villa we were pleasantly surprised to have the services of Maria, property manager and Guilia, house-keeper. Maria stopped by the villa each morning of our stay and helped coordinate transfers, made dinner reservations as well as recommendations for shopping and local activities. She went above and beyond by taking the time to make sure we were satisfied with the accommodations at the villa. Guilia arrived everyday around 10am and cleaned, organized, provided new towels/toiletries, water/pruned plantings and, if we were present, would work around us to keep the villa looking lovely. They were both very professional. Villa Eden may go by several names but the location, design, finishes and condition of the property are exceptional. Be prepared to walk many steps but each one is worth the beauty of Villa Eden and Positano. We will be back!
This hotel was a top notch boutique experience, combined with local flavor and Italian charm. The location is excellent, the service was professional and friendly -by the end of the stay we felt like we knew them all. We stayed in 101, with a family of 5 / 3 kids under 12 and it worked out very well from a setup standpoint. Thank God for the air conditioning, it was over 90 everyday and to have it at night was a life saver. Tony runs a tight breakfast everyday and the concierge service for local bookings /dinner et al was top notch (although the hotel restaurant was great too). The walk down was medium compared to some other hotels as well which when you do it multiple times per day in 90+ degree heat is a life saver. We would highly recommend and will stay there again.
Our stay here was mostly exquisite. The staff were all excellent and friendly and the location was remarkable. Views that will astonish you, a private deck and comfortable beds. The breakfast buffet was wonderful including the ever friendly Stevo as our server. Our only complaints, are: pool only open till 5 pm because of rooftop dining and our room (416) was exceedingly noisy starting at 7am due to this rooftop area. I would suggest floors below as they all have the same view.
We cant say enough good things about this place. The staff is great! Tony at breakfast is not to be missed. The wine tasting is a treat and a perfect start to a wonderful dinner on the terrace. My family recently stayed in a quad junior suite. Our view was superb, but the room was smaller then we expected. The beds were a little hard and it is a little walk to shopping and the beach, but all in all I would stay here again and recommend it to my friends and family.
