I normally stay at the Premier Inn which is tired and old, but honest. For a treat I stayed here, and was really disappointed. For the additional money it was hard to learn that the room air conditioning didn’t work, the hot water was just warm and the room is only cleaned every 3 days. I expect this from the Premier Inn but not the Marriott. I mentioned both the hot water and the air conditioning to reception who said they would call maintenance, but nothing happened. Worst of all, on check out I was not asked how my stay was - I am always asked at the Premier Inn! Save your money!

We stayed here for 4 nights and unfortunately, our experience was disappointing. Our room was in the basement, with no elevator access, which was really tough for me as I have a bad knee. While the staff did help carry our bags when we checked in, we had to manage everything ourselves at checkout, which was really inconvenient. The basement had a strong carpet smell as soon as you opened the door, and the AC never cooled the room enough for us to sleep comfortably. The staff did provided us a fan, but it wasn’t enough for our family of four. For the amount we paid (almost $400 CAD per night), we expected a lot more. We also found a couple of spiders in the room. On our second night, we came back around midnight to find our toilet was clogged. While the staff responded quickly, they weren’t able to fix it, and we had to use the washroom in another room upstairs, which added to the inconvenience. Overall, I wouldn’t recommend this place, even if it cost half as much.

Reasonable hotel.

The tvs in our suite didn't work, we reported to reception but these were not fixed during our stay. When it came to showering we had no hot water, on calling reception they informed me it was for planned maintenance. However no one had told us about this ahead of time, so had an issue washing and bathing a young family of four. No one properly explained what was included in our booking (access to complimentary breakfast and lunch in an executive lounge). All in all had a comfy bed but was just disappointing on the above points. On check out they did offer to reduce and refund 20% of booking.
