The corridor smelt of damp, sink was blocked, bedroom very dusty and bed was not made properly. The steam room was broken in the spa and same people hogging the jacuzzi for 45 minutes without being supervised to max stay 20 minutes to allow others to enter. Breakfast finished at 9pm. Hotel very noisy as over the flight path of Manchester airport and woken up at 6.45am by a lady shouting at her son in the car park. Very poor experience.

Book at your own risk if flying!

Arrived after our flight from Manchester, first room given had no working toilet. Second, and last room available, which was an upgrade to us!,had stains and urine left in the toilet and stained sheets. Out of the two rooms left which we booked over a week ago, none was fit for purpose. No rooms left in any hotels in the area at 2:30 in the morning so had to drive home and miss arrangements in Chester. No contact from hotel either.

The Hotel was excellent would stay again only problem i had was the noise coming out of a closed window was like i was sleeping outside on a main road it could do with the windows being resealed or secondary glazing

Friendly, but needs updating

It was a lovely hotel, but the rooms needed updating. The air conditioning did not work and unfortunately the hotel is placed in a flight path. So airplanes were frequently flying over throughout the day/night.

The hotel was just what we needed for a single night. We greatly enjoyed the pool services, and the breakfast buffet was well prepared. The staff we spoke with were friendly and quick to help.

Very disappointing stay here . My room Was roasting hot , unbearable . There was a dyson fan which didn’t work , remote control Was missing . A member of staff did come with the one remote they had but couldn’t leave it with me as they didn’t have another . They did come with a normal fan which I had to sit right in front of for any benefit . Bedside light didn’t work , couldn’t leave the blind open as due to the layout the room faced others so everyone could see in . I gave up trying to sleep at 4 am & decided on a cup of tea , the kettle didn’t work . Left my room at 630 am exhausted . Defo won’t be back

August Stay

As always with Village Hotel, check-in was fast and easy, and the staff were incredibly helpful. The bar, grill, and food were excellent. However, I’m giving one star because neither the building nor the rooms had air conditioning. Staying there for two nights during a heatwave was unbearable—I even had to sit in my car to cool down. This lack of air conditioning needs to be addressed. I’ve had similar issues at the Hyde location as well. That said, the staff were amazing as always.

Not a good experience, badly handled complaint by one of the hotel managers, I really do not recommend booking last minute to a place that has a bad attitude to not being able to shower as a guest in a hotel! If you have accessibility needs and require a chair in the shower, please find a more trustworthy hotel to ensure your needs are met and you have the right to clean yourself, as a paying guest in a hotel! Never again Village!

We r out patients at Christie’s hospital and this was the ideal place to stay..alive with people but quiet enough to get a good nights sleep..we will be staying several more times this year
