+ Well located everything around Friendly teammates Swimming pool Room clean and modern Restaurant - Internet instable Hot water instable ( morning it's awful) Bed not so good At least a good stay and will come back
Great location in Almaty down lane. Easy access to main attractions. Some rooms quite small for two people. Pool available. Restaurant has good selection for breakfast. A dinner of local cuisine was provided for our group with traditional music, so much food.
Just to recommend this one as we find an extraordinary selection at the breakfast buffet, nice and multilingual service staff, nice and clean rooms, a beautiful little Spa area with Sauna and Pool ... a perfect and very affordable place to stay for either business or leisure ...
Nice updated hotel in center of Almaty. Access somewhat on a side street . Staff were very accommodating and for breakfast they could even make poached eggs. Rooms even on uppermost floors have limited view of city. The rooms were very well cleaned and maintained Staff was limited in English but tried very hard to understand requests.
We stayed at the beginning and end of our trip. The first room was very good with a large verandah and seating area. The second room was OK. Breakfast was good. Staff were friendly. Within walking distance of central Almaty. Currency exhange is across the road and a supermarket very close. The pool was nice on a hot day but got very busy with children having a swimming lesson.
In Astana I stayed in this same hotel chain and now in Almaty. Modern room with balcony, comfortable bed, and very polite and friendly reception. Very generous breakfast, swimming pool, sauna and also they have massage service. Well located and with excellent options around to eat in addition to a supermarket if you just want some appetizers right next door! I would highly recommend staying here. If i go back for sure i will stay here again
This hotel is well located in the "centre" of Almaty, in an quiet alley away from a busy road. The older rooms are dated whereas the newer ones are great value for money. Breakfast is not a thrilling experience. The staff is fairly helpful.
I paid extra money for pick up from the airport and the car was the worst I have ever seen as hotel car. It has broken front window and an ordinary sedan (I guess Hyundai). I paid the same money to Rixos for airport drop-off and car was BMW 520. You can compare the service quality. Hotel is close to center, but neighborhood is not so safe so be careful if you stay out late. It is difficult to find the entrance as it is between some buildings. They gave me a room at lobby level and room was so small that you can hardly move inside. Bathroom was also small. Only good part was front desk staff was very friendly.
We stayed here at the beginning and end of our trip to Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan. From the start the staff couldn't have been more helpful. When we arrived our room wasn't ready as we'd flown over night and it was very early morning but we were given access to a suite to shower and sleep then an extra breakfast. On our second arrival we were given access to our room several hours early too. The staff couldn't have been more helpful, seeking out local entertainment for us, checking bookings on the internet and making phone calls when our driver failed to show up one day. There is a small business centre which was very useful in checking in and printing flight boarding passes too. We had rooms in the new building on the 6th and 8th floors, once with a great view of the mountains. The beds were really comfortable, pillow menu which really worked (the housekeeping staff were good too!), TV with BBC World and CNN, in room safe etc. Breakfast was really good with a wide array of cold and cooked food, an egg station, delicious jams and honey, and even ice cream and soup if you want it! I can only find two small complaints. You only get one bottle of water per stay rather than one per day. Ladies have to wear shower caps in the pool which is a real nuisance, and not at all what is shown on the in house video! It was pretty hot during our visit so the walk into town felt a bit long, but in reality it's only three blocks, and it was nice to be able to sleep in a quiet location. A good hotel.
From the reviews we had expected a great stay. We got an overpriced, average stay with bad breakfast. Let's start with breakfast. The omelet station is not bad, but one must eat more than omelettes. Fresh fruit was of very little variety and was only replenished after insistence and with a sour grimace. The rest of the offerings: Not worth mentioning. We skipped the included breakfast and went to a cafe. The room was not bad, but not really anything I would remember short time after staying there. It had kind of a weird layout. It rained down the ceiling in the bathroom but nobody seemed to care, so we gave up on caring, too. Their tours are very expensive and you must really take care that you get what you pay for. We specifically asked for the unesco world heritage site and they tried to take us to a similarly named but 2,000 year newer place... And the guide was useless. We ended up getting a 25% refund, but frankly all costs should have been paid back. Almaty is a great place to spend summer days and we can definitely recommend. But stay somewhere else.
