The Lemon Lodge - Ziggurat Suite

## Space

The Lemon Lodge is a renovated farmhouse split into two unique self sustainable lodgings. Water is pumped from the land and the power is generated from the sun.
Surrounded by pine trees and situated on a hill, the suites have spectacular views of the valley and the food gardens.
The two lodgings are inviting, comfortable yet rustic, as inspired by nature.

Ziggurat is a spacious two-person suite with a private terrace where one can relax in the hammock or light up the barbecue.
The modern interior is mixed with rustic Portuguese details. The high ceiling and soft romantic colours make you feel right at home.

The suite has a large bedroom with an en-suite bathroom and overlooks the garden.
The living room has a fireplace and an open-plan kitchen that caters for all your needs.

As we believe the kitchen to be the heart of the house, the suite comes with complimentary tea, locally roasted coffee and essential kitchen herbs to enjoy your homespun meals. The suite is also provided with handcrafted biodegradable soap and shampoo made locally in the valley.

## Access

★ WOODFIRED SAUNA
★ We have a wood fired sauna free of charge for our guests.
★ Sundeck
★ Our sundeck is situated next to the sauna. Please feel free to use it and enjoy a cold dip in our salt water dipping pool.
★ Icebath
★ There is a permanent ice bath at the Sauna area. If you are familiair with Cold Exposure you are welcome to use it.
★ Yoga deck
★ There is a beautiful spacious deck with an amazing view over the valley.

Other things to note
Please note that arriving after 9 PM is not recommended. Check-ins after 6 PM only in consultation with our local hosts.

The joint hands of William & Michelle and Alex & Helena continuously work together to make The Lemon Lodge an eco-friendly farmstead that lives and breathes an enhancing way of life to inspire oneself and others.

## Neighborhood

The Lemon Lodge is closely located to the village of Aljezur, which is less than a 10 min drive or 45 min by foot. The walks in this area are stunning, and fortunately, the Lodge is situated next to the famous Pilgrim walk "Rota Vicentina" with the option for a circular route.

This whole part of the Algarve has, in recent years, emerged as a surfer's and hikers' haven. Hugged by Cape St Vincent Natural Park and the beautiful mountains of Monchique, there are lots to explore by car, bike, horse or foot.

## Transit

✈︎ Faro to The Lemon Lodge, a 1-hour drive
✈︎ Lisbon to The Lemon Lodge is a 3,5-hour drive

We recommend having your car explore the beautiful surroundings. However, if you wish to discover the unbeaten tracks, we suggest renting a 4x4.
Once booked, we will send a clear route description on how to get here.

Please note that the road towards our lodge can be navigated with a regular car but it is not a paved road.

A pick-up can be arranged at the village of Aljezur when guests arrive after sunset.

## Notes

We ask our guests to leave their four-legged friends at home as we have four dogs, two cats, two horses and lots of chickens walking around the land.

★ We started in May 2021 and have had amazing reviews during this first season. Unfortunately, due to a change in administration, we had to change our account here and couldn't take the reviews with. ℹ SEF REQUIREMENTS. All property owners in Portugal have a legal requirement to report tourists’ and guests'' information to Serviço de Estrangeiros e Fronteiras (known short as SEF). To comply with legal requirements, from a week before arrival, we shall send you a link to our SEF form for you to complete and send back to us before arrival. It is a mandatory requirement.
