Paulo the owner of the vineyard and the property communicated frequently and early on for the checkin instructions and through out our stay. Room was quite good with all the required amenities. Nice comfortable beds, TV, clean bath room with the soap, towels, etc. Paula who checked us was excellent in letting us know the options for dinner, wine tasting in their vineyard and the olive oil museum within the premises. She managed all of our needs - breakfast, calling taxi and proving code for the main gate if you want to come in after the vineyard closed for the day! She even came in early to make sure we get our breakfast on the day we had to go on a wine tour !The views from D’origem were beyond imagination. It’s a very quiet place and the dawn and dusk were magical! Night time you can see the other villages lit up. Sun rise is truly wonderful! There is also a beautiful view point nearby from where you can see the other side of Pinhaõ. One of the best stays in the Duoro valley! You will have use taxi to go up to D’origem from Pinhaõ train station. It’s a little bit pricey but it well worth the ride and stay! I would stay there again when I go back to Duoro again!
