Great hotel in the historic town centre however there is no parking. Got stuck in a one way system and then dropped off the car in some underground parking 5 minutes walk away. Room was ok, breakfast was good. Make sure you speak some Spanish!
Hotel was fine, nicely situated for a walk around the city. Parking was only mentioned as we left so unsure of availability of a car park? We managed to find a space nearby but probably because it was late Saturday afternoon. Lovely young man in Cafe/Bar but both he and the woman on duty were not well informed about the menu. I sent back the mussels as they were Luke warm and sloshing about in a tasteless clear liquid which wa supposed to be Thai. When it was delivered to the table I asked if it was Thai both shook their heads and went back to the kitchen to ask. It certainly did not taste like Thai or anything other than warm water. My husbands burger was bland. Breakfast was a disinter. The breakfast room when we found it was full with a couple of empty tables from exiting guests. The waiter looked at us brushed past us and disappeared for 5/10 minutes leaving us standing waiting. After another couple and their son came in they too were waiting. My husband went to Reception to ask if someone could attend to the Breakfast Room. The Receptionist rang the waiter who returned a couple of minutes later in a huff! Has slammed the dishes down as he started to clear the tables and brushed the crumbs and remnant of breakfast from previous guests on to me and my husband. After seeing my husbands face he apologised! There was virtually no food left and we had to find our own plates etc., it was a shambles. It's a pity because it ruined our stay and we won't return. Unfortunately we speak little Spanish otherwise we would have complained whilst there. We have put it down to experience but won't return.
This hotel is very well located in the town centre and has a very stylish entrance and dining room. The rooms themselves are modern and comfortable with free wifi (not the fastest but OK). The only downside for me was that I felt the rooms were not well cleaned on a daily basis, especially the floors. I had to move some furniture to access a socket for my laptop and found a lot of dust and dirt behind it. There was dirt colllecting in the corners and edges, especially in the bathroom and I felt that the floors were not cleaned everyday (I monitored some crumbs on the floor for a whole week and they never moved!!) However, the dining room and shared areas seemed to be clean. The breakfast was good and the staff friendly. I enjoyed several meals on the outside terrace, which was a nice place to relax. I would book again.
If you are planning to visit Orihuela, you have to book in this Hotel in the middle of the Orihuela City Centre. Amazing and elegant Hotel. the rooms are very confortable with a mix old/modern traits. Not expensive. For sure I will book again here.
We were here for a work team-building event and we really enjoyed ourselves. The rooms are large and clean and luxurious and the building itself is amazingly elegant, right in the heart of the old town, and really very good value for money. If I had to make one critisism it would be that it's hard to make a cup of tea at breakfast, there was just a jug of lukewarm water on offer although when I asked I was given a teaport with some decent water. There were a lot of events going on while we were there, ranging from birthday parties, to concerts, to baptisms and they used different decorations for each event, and they looked justr lovely, it would be a great place to hold an event.
Although we live only a few miles away we stayed here last month to get the very best from our annual visit to the medieval festival. Beautiful, beautiful building which gives you a real sense of history. Spacious, well appointed room with a perfect little balcony overlooking one of Orihuela's many little squares. Location and class cannot be beaten.
With two friends my wife and I went to this Hotel for their special pre-Valentine's Day celebration dinner on Saturday evening 11 February 2017. That evening was a great success, with very attentive waiting staff and the Band was very good. A lot of people seemed to go home on Sunday morning, whereas we had paid for Sunday night also. We then discovered that our our Card Keys had stopped working, as it seemed they had only been programmed for a one night stay! On Sunday evening we received conflicting information from the Reception Desk, as no-one seemed to know where, the few guests left in the Hotel, could get their evening meal. Eventually, we were directed to a small dining room on the ground floor, which was more like a cafe, glass top tables with no table cloth. Only the four of us, were eating that evening, or so it seemed. The young waiter, was very friendly and helpful. So, if staying at this Hotel, which is otherwise good, make sure the Reception staff know how long you are staying and what you have paid for!
very nice hotel, great service, good position for holidays or working. very confortable and nice. very nice little town buut half na hour away maximum from beach with good restaurants and local shops around. great value for Money.
First class hotel, very friendly staff and extremely helpful. My wife and I stayed for four days, and we will return. The location is excellent all amenities within walking distance. The historic Cathedral is well worth a visit, only around 100 metres from the hotel.
We highly recommend the hotel and the service was second to none. The staff made us all feel very welcome and looked after us all very well. Thank you to all the staff for a truly wonderful break and we enjoyed the Fiesta 'Moros y Cristianos' We certainly will be back to stay Thank you once again.
