Hotel Campanile Alicante3.0 out of 5.0

I enjoyed my stay at this hotel. The staff are quite friendly and helpful. The breakfast in the morning is good. The drinks I thought were quite cheap (for Alicante). The rooms are good enough with TV and really comfortable beds. I don't normally sleep well abroad but I was sleeping better in this hotel than I do at home! I don't think I would stop here again as I miss not having a pool and a balcony but I would definitely rate it as a good hotel. My main gripe about this hotel is they do not offer enough free tea/coffee in the rooms.
It is an honest 3 star hotel, so for this category we would choose this hotel for several reasons: facilities, customer service, parking abd distance from the city center regarding other 3 * hotels. Bar-Restaurant is good value for the money.
The hottel is small, quiet and nice, room was very clean and spacy. The staff in the reception and bar was very helpful and friendly, just maybe breakfast was a bit poor for Sanish buffet style breakfast but everything else was good. We will visit you again :)
We had a three night stay at Campanile hotel. The room was clean and comfortable. The staff is friendly. The breakfast buffet was very basic and some food wasn't even eatable. It costs 7€ per person, but it is not worth that money. Another big disadvantage is the main road which passes near the hotel. Noise is very big, and it is impossible to sleep if you are on this side of the hotel, even if you close the window. The good thing is, that the bus stop, for C6 bus which goes to the airport, is a few steps from the hotel. If you choose this hotel, ask for the room on another side of the hotel, where the traffic is much quieter and do not have a breakfast at the hotel.
Stayed here for 3 nights.. Arrived 22:00hours on the first night and was told food was being served till 23:00... all we wanted was some Olives and ham as it was too late to eat properly, (you would think we wanted a 3 course meal by the bar mans reaction) The Bar man was not friendly and huffed when we placed our order..... *Rooms was very clean and so was the hotel. No complaints there.. * The Walk into Alicante was approx 20-25 minutes.. Same to the beaches and approx 10 minutes to alicante bus station The pillows and beds was very basic. Quite uncomfortable bed and base.. and extra pillows needed just for some Means of comfort. No late check out was available for us so with our return flight home being 22:00hours and check out at 10:00 we had a long wait in Alicante with our suitcases and no means of freshening up before our flight, bit of a shame they couldn't accommodate us checking out later.. The hotel staff spoke limited English (not a problem as we don't speak Spanish ) so just slightly difficult when wanting information / directions and ordering food/ drinks... Would maybe consider a hotel closer to the shops and beach next time For a short break, But none the less a clean hotel and good price...
Second visit here with the car -- just so convenient ! 5 euro taxi into town ( or 1.50 on the bus ) beats the extortionate parking rates in the City Hotels . Basic but spotless rooms , very obliging staff makes this our first choice for a quick break , just 30 mins from home .
The room was comfortable and had tea/coffee facilities and a hair dryer in the bathroom. Lack of ironing board and iron in the room, went to reception to ask for one and was provided an iron however no ironing board therefore had to iron on the desk using a towel. The room was extremely clean however was a little dated. Would recommend this hotel for a short stay and would certainly book again for the weekend. The location was great, just a 10 minute well lit walk into the marina.
As the title says, we had a long weekend stay booked with this hotel and I couldn't ask for anything more! The location is perfect for a shorter stay (as I've seen other reviews say) being a 15 minute drive to the airport, and a pleasant walk into town. I have some mobility issues and require a walking-stick, so it took us around 30 minutes to walk into town, but even so, we found that most days the walk was nothing short of pleasant! The only real downside was that we couldn't just "pop back" to the hotel to grab for example, a cardigan - we coped!! When we did find the walk in may be a little too much, there is a bus stop nearby and a ticket into town cost just €1.45. Taxis were also very reasonable, particularly if traveling with a very small group (there were 3 of us). I was particularly impressed with the staff of the hotel: the main reception and cleaning staff were wonderful and we found everyone to be incredibly patient, friendly and helpful. Even the introduction to the hotel gave us a map, and our front desk man marked areas such as bus stops, and major points of interest for us tourists. Just brilliant and helpful! The place was lovely and clean and was cleaned every day while we stayed. It's an eco-friendly hotel, and so towels were the only thing not cleaned every day, unless left in the sink for collection - I thoroughly support eco-friendly, especially if it means I get a cheaper hotel room! The beds were comfortable, and having a TV with an array of channels meant that when we were relaxing before bed, we could usually find something in English to watch. Otherwise we found the wifi to be great when we used it, and could stream with no problems. Tea and coffee making facilities were very much appreciated by this coffee lover! Although there is only really enough for 2 cups a day that the hotel provide, we simply bought a small jar of coffee and some long life milk, even without a fridge the milk was fine for remainder of our stay (we had 3 days left). We didn't end up eating at the restaurant, as we found once we were out for the day, we were out! However we had one or two drinks there and found the balcony to be lovely and peaceful, despite being by the main road (easily forgotten). The only thing I would warn of is the thin walls and road noise, do bring ear-buds if you have any (they're very cheap to pick up from one of the many pharmacies in town otherwise). All in all this was a great, convenient hotel, with outstanding staff. There were no hidden extras and even a few pleasant surprises. We'd definitely recommend for a shorter stay.
My friend and I went for a weekend trip to Alicante: we wanted somewhere reasonably priced, close to the airport and close to all the places we wanted to see - this hotel was perfect for that! The rooms are very basic, but clean. The location is perfect: it's about a 25 minute walk from the city centre and the old town, there is a petrol station shop a few minutes away and the airport is a 10 minute taxi ride from the hotel and it will cost about €18 to take a taxi to the hotel. Had a great experience here and will definitely consider returning again.
I have gait/walking challenges (stroke); accom. has to be convenient to shopping and/or sights.Very good price, clean surroundings. Very pleasant stay, though only a stopover. Only 10 mins to Alicante airport, convenient to Alicante old town, marina and shopping. Restaurant is great, good service, with parking facilities. Perfect location, in town but a quieter part. Value for money, would recommend.
