We arrived at 12 noon and got our rooms right away. Service was very nice. Access to golf course is very easy. Breakfast ok and rooms comfortable. Bed and shower are good too. Taxis right by the door. Overall a good experience
Hotel staff are friendly and professional. If you only speak English you may struggle although bare in mind Spanish is their language and your only visiting. In regards to the golf I would suggest booking elsewhere it's poorly run over booked and you will struggle to complete the round in under 6 hours maybe more if busy. The course is more interested in money than player satisfaction. This hotel although very clean the facilities are not four star and the rooms are basic.
Hotel is average, not sure how they get the 4 stars! First meal was dreadful but the food improved as the week went on BUT the service in the dining room was AWFUL. Staff had poor communication skills which ledto confusion and many wrong orders and the service was painfully slow. Our room was very comfortable with a great shower. Golf course was fabulous, beautifully maintained and great practice facilities. Lots of walking between holes however so buggy is a must. Would play the course again but would find somewhere else to stay. One of the best finds was the local tram service, great way to see the sights using the L3 tram.
Booked 2pm golf. Chaotic when we got there not enough buggys. 20 mins late tee off. 3 hours to play 9 holes. We came off after 12. Too many people, course poor and overplayed. Customer service shocking. We will never go back
We stayed here for 4 nights. Chose this hotel largely for the convenience and the location. It seems to be one of the only hotels in the area decorated in a nice traditional Spanish style. If you want modern & clean style (read: white!) then this won't be the hotel for you. The hotel was quite big but quite empty - I think we potentially had the ground floor wing to ourselves! Room was big & spacious. Bed ok but facilities in room (toiletries, bathrobe, slippers, hairdryer) were well thought out and the hotel had literally thought of everything. We stayed in a deluxe room (corner) and had side views of the pool and a view of the golf course. Price seemed very reasonable and included a breakfast. Selection of food at breakfast was fine; not as much choice as other hotels in the area but then again some of them come at a much heightened price! Restaurants in gastro village over the road and of course, plenty of choice if you want to travel to Alicante. Beach a 15 minute walk but a pleasant stroll in the sun. Overall we were happy with our stay.
Nice hotel with good service and nice stab. Easy access to the golf course and we enjoy very mutch the course and we will come back :-) Recommanded to try if you haven't tried it but you will enjoy it most if you have a hcp lower than 28.
The room was big and clean with even the bidet in the bathroom (greatly appreciated)! It is located in a nice area with bars and restaurants around and a beautiful beach just 10 min walking. The staff was kind and the breakfast good! The laundry service was did not work well because the clothes were stinking too much of detergents. On Sat morning I wanted to sleep a little bit more but it was not possible for the noise in the corridor.
We have just stayed in Hotel Alicante Golf for the second time in two weeks The first visit; room was nice, tidy and clean, but not a very good view. We had a breakfast buffet where the food was somewhat basic and the hot foods at best warm. But assume this is how the Spanish like their foods. Overall a good 3 star hotel. Second visit; room not as nice as you can see from the pictures, mildew on the ceiling and no filter internally covering the AC ceiling outlet. Although the room was tidy it looked a little shabby. Only one bath towel for two of us, but worse of all two of the four bottles of water in the fridge bar had broken seals which would indicate people had drunk the water and topped up again with tape water. Plus there is no fridge contents tariff. What made matters even worse we had a Spanish family in the next room and historically the Spanish cannot speak quietly, so screaming child and shouting parents. No coffee or tea making facilities in either room Yes there is a good side, we had a meal in the bar area and with the exception of partly drunk, noisy English and Spanish golfers at the bar area, the food was excellent. In my view still a 3 star hotel. Would I stay there again, umm, I’m sure there are better close by?
We booked a 3 night stay in Hotel Alicante Golf because it was close to the places we needed to visit. The previous reviews were not encouraging and i was worried about making a bad decision in this reservation due only to its location. However when we arrived, all the reviews vanished from my head. It does need some renovation but it's not so bad. The rooms are spacious. We had a balcony overlooking the golf course which was very nice. The bathroom would benefit the most from a renovation but it was ok. The staff were helpful in recommending what to see and where to eat. The breakfast was varied and tasty. My only recommendation is that they renovate soon for their own sake. People are reviewing it in bad ways when actually it is a good hotel.
No assistance for disabled. Bathroom for disabled not suitable. No English satalite tv. No tea coffee making facilities in room. Bathroom black with mould had to clean it before you could shower. Cannot get any hot drinks from bar until 9am unless you paid and had a breakfast. Unable to change any currency unless you went to a bank. Would not stay again.
