I am used to go there mainly because it is close to the airport and the hotel offers many facilities including several restaurants. Some rooms need to be renovated and corridors can be noisy till late. Breakfast buffet is excellent.
the facilities at the hotels are alright but by no standard it is a 5 star hotel...my rating would be 3 star. Staff is slow and unhelpful and doesn't look like they care. Check-in and out can take painstakingly long (I'm not kidding when i say it took 30 mins waiting to check in on one of my trips). The food is sub standard and not consistent. The rooms are extremely underlit, dirty, and old while walls are paper thin. Washrooms are even worse. On the positive side, there is ample space to hang around in the common areas and a shopping mall with restaurants is right behind the hotel. Definitely not value for money as a night costs over 150 usd.
I am here on business since last evening. Last night, I wanted to have dinner in the hotel. I was told that the indoor restaurants were closed and they started operating the terrace only. I thought "fine, fresh air and some good local cuisine". I was wrong. No local cuisine at all. A poor menu with three only options and a horrible unbearable noise coming from the external units of the hotel aircon system. The service was fine and I appreciate it. But the hotel management needs to do something for the infrastructure. Either to relocate the terrace restaurant or somehow sound insulate the aircon. Or offer ear plugs for free :)
Very nice hotel in a poor and dirty city. All you need is inside the hotel (western food, local food, chinese food, bar with alchool, swimming pool, gymn, ecc.). The price is really high, but we are talking about Mercure.
Worst hotel. Rude behaviour. Always trying to cheat. Dirty room. Terrible shower system. Only the fanta, water and mineral water is free. I suggest to stay in the street instead of this hotel. You have to wait 19.00 pm for dinner.
I have been trying to make a reservation by mail and telephone since one month. but no ones reply me and answered my phone. When came to front desk, Unbelivable They told me that there was no room after waiting 45 minutes. After 45 min front office staff told me if you dont have reservation we can not anything. Do not answer phone calls and mails for reservations, just make a reservation with a badge and grin. It is an irresponsible management that does not bother the Accor group.
I stayed there for the exibition which is really close to hotel. Rooms are spacious and clean with bathtub.cleaning waa everyday and that was ok. The only bad things about breakfast. We stayed room only and everyday we paid for breakfast but it s not worth your money. For the four days even 1 day i couldnt find clean plate. And really poor selection. Next to hotel there is a ahopping mall which is really big. İts very far from touristical center so i recommand only for bussiness. Generally it was ok.
Very expensive versus what it offers really you feel ripped off...best case this would qualify for a 3 stars ... towels in room are in horrible shape, TV does not work, food quality is well below average...
good team specially in the Nabila , faicel in the reception and said et melik in the restaurant. romms were cleans. Mercure is very near the aeropot, very practice. i'll come back next month because i feel in family. congrats.
