The staff at reception were so friendly and helpful. On two occasions the golf course was closed due to heavy rain and the receptionist organised alternative courses and rearranged our mini bus travel plans .
We stayed in the older section and had to walk or take a golf cart to the restaurant. The locale is quiet as it is at the end of the beach/town. Surprised to find it was more of an apartment than just a hotel room. It would be good for an extended stay.
Loved this resort! The ,staff ,view and food were wonderful. We stayed here with a large group and we all loved our stay. The staff were very accommodating transporting some of our group to and from one side of the resort to another. I would love to come back!
We stayed for one week in a two bedroom deluxe apartment. It was perfect for 4 people and very spacious. We loved the immense space of the roof top terrace where we had views of beach and marina. We had our own sun beds, table and chairs on the roof top terrace too. Everything was clean and comfortable. The beds were very comfortable. The heating was good, and we needed it as it got quite cold at night. It was a 5 minute walk from our room to the breakfast buffet, we did not mind this as it was a scenic walk through the marina and we needed the exercise! The breakfast was delicious, with great choice. It was good to be able to have eggs, omelette and waffles made to order. The only very slight improvement I would make is to have more tables laid outside on the terrace as we had some lovely warm, sunny mornings and we did not really want to sit inside, but had to sometimes as not all the tables outside had been set up. It was a great view across the bay to Ferragudo as we sipped our tea. The only improvements I can think of are...... a toaster in the kitchen would be nice.........a DVD player in the lounge...... a clock or alarm clock in the bedroom would be helpful.......kitchen accessories such as a tea towel, cloth, sponge, washing up liquid would be helpful ( we had to go out and buy these for ourselves). The cleaners came every day and were very good and polite. I loved that there was a big empty cupboard under the stairs so that we could hide away our empty cases and did not keep tripping over them as we have in other apartments. The beach at Praia da Rocha was lovely and we tried out many of the bars and restaurants along the beach walk way. 😍 Portimao itself was a bit run down and neglected. Lots of graffiti. I think the local government should try to do something to stop this as it put us off going back to the centre. We did find a very good restaurant there though. One other down side to the resort was that we saw on several occasions young men offering drugs to tourists. This was upsetting and we were quite shocked. These men pushed a young toddler around in a buggy all day and paid the poor child no attention. They only had the child with them to make them blend in a bit more amongst the families. My husband went to the local police station to report it but it was closed! Apart from this we liked Praia da Rocha and walked along the beach many times and went in the caves. We did not have a bad meal the whole time we were there.
This is a lovely hotel. The setting is super. Super views from the Restaurant terrace especially. The staff are terrific, all very obliging and friendly. The hotel is actually closer to Praia da Rocha than Portimao. Happy to recommend it.
Stayed at the Tivoli through no limits trackday what a beautiful hotel right on the marina and beach staff couldn't have been more friendly and helpful the food was absolute perfection cleanliness second to none cannot fault any part of our stay only that it wasn't long enough will definitely be back.
I stayed in Tivoli Marina Portimão with my family for a week. We were part of an Irish school cycling club, in total a group of 162 adults and children. We brought our own bicycles and cycled every day, e.g. to Sagres, Aljezur, Foia, Silves, etc. We had a truly wonderful time. The facilities were excellent. The staff were accommodating, helpful and friendly. The hotel management was professional and flexible, e.g. opening breakfast very early for some of our cycling groups. The food was top drawer. I recommend the hotel very highly and thank them for their generous hospitality.
On the same trip as Justin M. Staff never missed a beat and were always helpful and nothing was too much or too difficult. Whole complex has been renovated to very good standards. A couple of things, there's a open rain drain around the pool bar deck which is potential hazard, should really be totally decked. Also ladies in high heels are likely to come to grief on the the lower dining room outside deck.
Nice water front lactation with nice views of surroundings and beautiful shoreline. Perfect beach location for families as well as surfers and beach enthusiasts. A great spot for sunsets and just enjoying the better part of Portimão.
I was part of a very large (160 people) group of adults and children here for a week. The staff coped admirably with our group and were incredibly helpful and pleasant and professional. The accommodation was first rate and the food was very good. So no complaints at all and only positive things to say, would gladly stay here again. I do wish they another beer apart from Super Bock though which I wouldn’t use to put out a fire. No that’s not a complaint, it’s the same everywhere in Portugal.
