The staff didn't let us leave when we had checked out before signing some papers that we got our deposit back. They couldn't find the papers. we waited for 30 min while they looked for it. We had a boat to catch so we had to leave and the girl in the reception physically stopped us from leaving. We had already prepaid the boat 55 euros so we couldn't miss it. When i went to the elevator she was blocking the door so it couldn't close and i ended up having to carry the luggage down 3 floors or else i wouldn't be able to leave the hotel. I almost had to call the police. This is the worst experience i ever had with customer service in any hotel. I wanna add that the beds where very hard and the room is very loud. Also the toilet in our room was pressed up against the shower so it was impossible to sit straight on it!

cannot understand the bad reviews I have read. You get what you pay for. Found the hotel to be central ,clean ,and well serviced by the staff. Would return and this would be the ideal place to stay staff were very helpful.

We had a lovely stay and enjoyed the pool area on the roof very much. Excellent location close to all amenities. There is secure entrance which is monitored by the reception staff who were very nice. There is an excellent restaurant below these apartments. The apartment was spacious and had a kitchen area although we were a bit bemused by the fact that the electrical appliances supplied were secured with wire so they couldn't be stolen presumably why??

The Hotel description is far from reality, we booked 1 one bedroom apartment with a view of the city as described on the booking, though on arrival it became evident that this did not exist, we bought this to the hotels attention and were offered an alternative studio room instead with the view. The description of the hotel states it has been recently renovated though I did not see any signs of recent renovations. The hotel standard and rooms were in my opinion far below standard, appliances were of age and in need of replacement in light of customer safety. AC did not work, mattress was fifthly with stains, as was linen and the general cleanliness of the rooms.

Hotel is in a perfect location its just a shame the rooms did`nt match the location. I actually felt a bit sorry for the staff who work there. They are so professional and helpful they deservs to work in a better hotel. The first room we were offered was much smaller than what we expected and you could not even close the bedroom as the bed was in the way. We did manage to change the following day which was a bigger room and what we had paid for. While we were there a fellow who was lucky to have a balcony tried to open his door to the go out onto his balcony and his luck ran out as the came off it`s hinges and he just about caught it before it smashed on the floor. unless you have stayed here before or are used to the very basic things in life. this hotel would probably not be to your taste.

Well , the staff are awesome and very help full , a nice view of the old town from the bar area. Rooms are kept clean. Now for the not so good bits , we arrived at 2330 booked in and went to our room, which was very basic, decorated back in the 70's( please redecorate) the door to the bedroom would not shut due to one of the beds being in the way, we complained in the morning and we moved next door to a bigger room, The WIFI is only available in the bar area , one of our other friends opened his double door and the door fell of its hinges. This hotel is in a great location , it is classed as a 3 star hotel? at the moment at least a 2 it seriously needs revamping. If your looking for a no frills hotel near old town this could be the one for you.

The top point of this hotel is the location. Close to the main square but not too much that the noise is too disturbing. The beach is 5 minutes walk away. The room is quite big. It is clean although basic. It fitted the purpose of my stay perfectly although as it is an 'apartment' arrangement, there is no option for having a breakfast. This is a pity as the bar upstairs could be easily used for this purpose. I did not use the pool: it is indeed small and not too attractive. The main annoyance of the place was that the reception is located on the third floor and there is no clear indication at the entrance (which is quite odd). Also, I had to leave in the early morning and although the reception should have been opened at 8.00 it was still closed at 8.20. The receptionist was waiting his colleague downstairs as she did not have the keys. At the end, we found a quick solution and the lady was very kind. However it was pretty odd and certainly added an unnecessary dose of stress. Last: Albufeira is very touristic, with lots of bars, restaurants, etc...Karaoke seems the sport of the town: if you are looking for a quite place, this town is just not for you.

When I booked this hotel come hostel I don't know what people's standards are but this hotel is a hovel the cooking area we didn't touch it was filthy I cut my leg which resulted as blood on the sheet now this sheet was turned every which way it wasn't changed at all by the maids if you want to stay in a dirty hotel book this massive let down

Stayed here for 8 nights, this hotel is basic but it serves the purpose great location and a good place for putting your head down at the end of the night, the pool area is fine but small & the staff were friendly, wifi is only available in the reception and bar area and the reception is on the 3rd floor don't knock on room 1 lol, take the lift to the 3rd floor! This hotel is cheap and cheerful and it's in the middle of the old town!!

Room 21 more comfort on beach it was clean, staff pleasant but room big let down yes was basic but pokey kept kicking toes up on bed legs and dresser in hallway to bathroom as not much space. Light fell off ceiling hit on head so was left dangling all day was repaired by end of day. Metal plate in floor doorway was loose cut toe on it not repaired up to leaving. Only place to sit wood chairs at table or bed , there was a "bed settee"in living area/kitchen but wooden board all round so dug into legs this also had pull out under but only facilities for 2 persons so could have put small settled there. Hairdryer dangerous as guard mesh broken. Kept asking for transfer to room with balcony but did not happen the company need to state rooms with balcony and without for customer s to make informed choices. Needless to say will not be back. As for soundproofing it is useless people hammering on main door to get in as did not have there card noisy neighbours arguing early hours for 3 hours walked down all floors to find out which room coming from to tell them to shut up. As the reception area is locked up from 12 midnight to 8am. Cooking facilities 2ring hob kettle toaster microwave only prob one socket to use them in and no workspace. I have put average ratings as probably would not have booked if knew I would not have balcony, and cannot comment on any other rooms, by the was was told we could move to room 25 with balcony 2 days before end oh holiday and that was great then they said not possible after repackaged ready to move.
