Try a south westerly facing room for more sunshine on the balcony and a downstairs room for more outside space for dining or sitting outside or drying clothes. the appartments are well stocked for self catering with everything you might need ,kettle, hob (no oven), microwave, coffee machine, cutlery, plates cups (no scissors though !) swimming pools and outside bar , sunbathing area . Staff very helpful , everyone speaks very good english and the hotel is very close to the beach (a 500m walk down some steps and very close to shops and bars. My tip is the excellent intermarcee supermarket for fresh orange juice, roast chicken , sausages and soup every day and try the sardine pate. Also try the day coach trips around the historical algarve, silves, lagos and monchique a must ! lisbon, seville, fatima etc so many trips not enough time to fit them all in !

Usually stay at the CPO next door but decided to try pedra dos bicos. Location is great for us, very close to some nice restaurants and a few bars but still very close to the strip without being overrun with stags and hens. A 10 minute bus ride takes you into the old town area, catch the bus 5 minutes walk from pedra dos bicos. The accommodation itself was of a good standard, had booked a 1 bedroom apartment and ended up with a 2. The apartment was spacious with the obligatory cooker, fridge, flat screen tv etc We had a few gripes with the apartment but just got on with it. The terrace area with seats and table was unable to be used as the sun never reached that area due to large trees overhanging. The living area could be cold at night as there wasn’t any heating in this room so had to put the cooker on now and again to keep warm. The beds were also very very hard and after a few hours of sleep were unbearable. The swimming pool although just next to the terrace area couldn’t be accessed without leaving the apartment, walking up the road and then entering the pool area via a locked gate. The beach is only 5 minutes walk away down a very steep hill then wooden steps, okay for on the way down but no good for anyone with any kind of mobility issues. Overall we were happy with the accommodation and may book again if we decide not to go back to the CPO again.

A very well situated apartment complex.Staff will try to accommodate you requirements if possible. The complex is a large, sprawling village type layout, mainly on one level with lifts in each block to the higher floors.

My partner and I stayed here but in the Self Catering Apartments across the road. We arrived later than planned due to weather/pilot delays from Leeds Bradford Airport. Check is round the back of the main Hotel Reception and we had to leave a 20€ deposit for our apartment keys. When we opened the door to the apartment we were surprised how modern and clean it looked. It consisted of a kitchen/diner/lounge with fold out bed. Nice modern bathroom including Bidet and a bath(yayyy bath) The bedroom was spacious with plenty of wardrobe space and drawers. It had a small balcony at the back off the bedroom and a bigger one at the front off the living space. The building was just off the main road but was fairly quiet. (No drunken noise at night) We had a dishwasher and washing machine which were a bonus. Everything you could think of was there and therefore well equipped. A few bad points were the hard mattress and the toilet seat kept slipping to one side. The hot water ran out so my first bath for a long time, wasn't that deep. The water runs of a heater in the kitchen cupboard. You also couldn't have too long showers as the water ran cold. The door lock to the hall of the apartment block was a bit temperamental and was a pain sometimes as was our apartment door until we got the knack of it. All in all though, this was by far the best self catering apartment we'd stayed at and at this time of the year, wasn't that expensive either. Thanks to the cleaners who cleaned every other day and did a good job.

Front of house staff very helpful. We had a one bedroom apartment very good size. Beds were a little hard for my wife's liking but I liked it. Small kitchenette come lounge. Everything you'll need. TV with half a dozen UK channels. 2 min walk to restaurants and supermarkets. 5 min walk to beaches through apartments and down a wooden pathway where you can find beach restaurants with some lovely menus. 5 min walk to the strip where you can find restaurants and clubs etc. Its about a 40 min walk to the old town. When its not too hot its a nice walk. A taxi will cost about 6-7 Euros.

Second time at Quinta. We normally stayed in the hotel but couldn’t get booked. Would go back to hotel as Quinta is great value and location really good. Going back in April so that will be my 3rd visit. Only down side is fowl don’t get changed everyday

Absolute top notch, nothing iv ever stayed in can match Quinta pests appartments, so clean and secure, just a lovely place with great staff nothing is to much hassle for them ! Many thanks, can’t wait to go back next leave

Just returned from one week in appartments my daughter and partner had a separate apartment, theirs was more updated and had a washing machine/drier and full size fridge freezer ours was more basic but suited us, staff helpful altho there was work going on around pool which we wernt told about til a jcb started digging next to us but luckily there are 3 pools so moved to another, its right by shops and bars and a decent supermarket and the beach is amazing would like to come back in high season altho most places were open

We booked a studio and were allocated a beautiful one bed appartment, complete with dishwasher and wadhing machine. This apparment is fully equiped, immaculately presented...two small balconies which fit a small table and two chairs. We can see over Oura and the see from our lounge window ...Check in was quick and easy, reception staff were polite and helpfull....we were givèn a fob for the pool but didnot go as the weather was a little variable....block was quiet while we have been here....really handy for the beach and shops.....pubs right across the road..short walk to the strip....in all pleasantly suprised by this appartment ...i think its luck of the draw because i did speak to another holiday maker who said theyed had a poor room but their daughter got an appartment ...

Spent a few weeks here over Christmas and on arrival were booked in within ten minutes and taken to our Studio apartment in block 18 room H. The studio was great and had a large bedroom which was about 18ft.x 13ft.,( room for two wardrobes instead of one) a bathroom with a shower over the bath which always had plenty of hot water. The kitchen/ dining/ lounge were in one room which measured about 10ft.x25ft. We also had a balcony with a table and two chairs, which used to get a couple of hours sun in the morning. The kitchen had a hob with two rings, a microwave, a fridge, crockery, cutlery, and pots and pans. We had a dining table and chairs, television, and a settee that turned into a bed. The studio had plenty of room for the two of us and if you were only there for a week or two would be great even with a couple more. The air con/ heater was in the bedroom which soon warmed up, but the lounge was quite cool at night but after we mentioned it to reception an electric heater was brought to us about 30 minutes later. The block is not very sound proof and echoes quite a lot and unfortunately there are always some people who never consider others at all and I could imagine that in busy periods this could be a problem. I know that some people complained about the noise from the large amount of young local people that occupy the apartments over the New Years eve period but we were expecting this as it happened last year and as it is only for a couple of days we were prepared to put up with it. The cleaners were brilliant, cleaning every day and changing the towels regularly. The beds were changed once a week. The location of the apartments is great, with Inter Marche supermarket, plenty of good restaurants and pubs only 5 minutes away and the strip about 10 minutes. The beach is only 5 or 10minutes away with about 100 steps down to it but it is worth going to. The weather was a bit cooler than previous years but we still managed to lay on the sun loungers around the pool and in the garden area quite a few times. There were less shops and bars open this year as well, but we like it when its quiet. We used to catch the bus into and back from Albufeira, you can catch it on the main road across from the Solcaffe, they run about every 30 minutes on the hour and half past,(aprox) and you can get on and off at the top of the escalator, it costs 1euro 40cents each. So thank you once again Quinta Pedra dos Bicos for helping to make our stay so enjoyable, we will be back.
