Very nice hotel with lovely bright decorated rooms. 5-7 minutes to the beach. Great restaurant Miss Pizza and local shop where you can get essentials for your breakfast. Pool nice and clean, playground for children and tennis courts (these are paid €7.50-€10 p/h There is no indoor pool, but they had building works taking place to make a spa instead. This will be paid extra as well. Gym quite nice (included in price) Generally the hotel is very nice and will be a perfect stay...
We visited Prainha Clube in March 2018. First of all, Phillipa and the hotel staff were excellent. They were happy to help with any aspect of the holiday, from sorting local buses and taxis to guiding us to the best parts of Alvor. The rooms were spotless and we had a lovely room overlooking the pool. We visited the Miss Pasta restaurant on site. Lucia, Madalena and Joáo run one of the nicest authentic Italian restaurants we have ever been to. They are very passionate about the food they serve and its freshness. Everything about the restaurant was so good we went back again. A must for a holiday to Prainha Clube is to visit the Atlantida Restaurant on the beach. We went there on two separate occasions and can confirm that Marco does the best flambé ever. All of the food looked amazing and all the staff are highly skilled. Overall, a visit to Prainha Clube and these two restaurants is a must!
Had a great holiday back in Sept17. Stayed in Prainha Club in Alvor, a very special place. Staff very friendly, apartments are lovely. Pool just outside the complex or treat yourself to the Atlantic Pool location within 5 minutes walk from complex. If you are looking for a great place to holiday in Alvor check this place out. You won't be disappointed Morgan OToole
Wow! Going away during half term, I always expect to be busy, but this was anything but. The staff were welcoming and very helpful, the views were amazing. We were able to sort day trips, visit the local villages and spend time at one of the many pools or beach. Our room had everything, including a kitchen and deck chairs on the good sized balcony. This is definitely a resort you don't want to miss.
We stayed at the Prainha Clube from the 6th October for one week , from arriving at the resort we totally felt relaxed the staff on the main desk were very welcoming and sorted our room out quick even though we arrived early . The room was much better than we thought after reading previous reviews ( don't always believe these reviews ) . The apartment was cleaned daily it would of been nice to have clean towels only changed once in the week . The bar we thought was quite expensive so didn't use it , we had breakfast once this was 9 euros was ok but not worth it . Pool area was clean and we always had no trouble getting a sun bed. Negatives supermarket opens at 9am which we thought was late and there was a mad rush for fresh bread ! Cash card machine not working . But all in all we really enjoyed our stay and loved our walks into Alvor on the boardwalk would highly recommend the Prainha and would stay here again.
We stayed here in October with our 10 yo daughter! Amazing resort, lovely people and staff, the ladies on reception are great especially Delia! We had a 1 bed apartment which was immaculate and well equipped, with a balcony that overlooked the pool. So much for kids to do and my daughter loved the pool and beach. Canico bar is amazing. Short walk to Alvor with lots of shops and restaurants and a local supermarket . On site supermarket was good and had the basics and more. Miss Pasta makes lovely pizza :) The views all around the resort are fabulous. We had a fantastic time and I cannot fault the hotel, we will definitely be back next year!!! Highly recommended :)
Just been to the Prainha Clube, we didn't stay in the actual hotel but got a one bed apartment, this was kitted out with everything you need to enjoy a self catering holiday. The complex is quite big, we did need to use a map in the first instincts but soon got our bearings. There is a supermarket on site which opens at 9.00am, be warned of you want fresh bread head down for 8.50 to wait for the doors opening, it was like a mad rush for bread and come half 9 not much choice left at all. Next door to the supermarket is Miss Pasta, we had a takeaway pizza from here and ate it on the balcony was yummy. We also ate at the other on site canico restaurant which was gorgeous with an amazing view but quite pricey. The complex is quite away out from town but we managed to walk in 20-25minutes, although the local buses into town are 08past and 38mins to costing €1.50, then we usually got a taxi back usually costing €5. The apartment block was quiet like the rest of the complex too was quite quiet and relaxing. There are three pools, the main hotel pool - beware of the carpenter bees though there big and black but love the bamboo brollys round pool, there so noisy but never bothered us. There is a smaller pool in the complex itself but know one was using that, and then there's the Atlantic pool this is the pool that's chargeable cost €for your two sunbeds and brolly was an amazing view so definitely worth it. We will definitely look at going back to the Prainha Clube.
Having stayed here 4 times previously this was the most disappointing visit yet. We love the complex but be very careful when booking a "villa". We were given the keys to A06 which is seriously in need of renovation. The smell was horrendous. We have respiratory problems and could not stay here. Also there's no air conditioning in the bedrooms which was was never an issue on previous visits so we took for granted it wouldn't be an issue this time. Big mistake. We voiced our issues with reception who were not very helpful or friendly. We had spent alot of money on this holiday and were shocked at the accommodation in comparison to previous visits. We paid for an upgrade in the end. Miss Pasta is fantastic. As is the clifftop pool. We will be staying elsewhere when we return to Alvor.
Great resort with stunning outdoor gardens and pools. Access to private beach.... Nice clean rooms The shower could have better pressure. This s the only set back in my opinion, I would reccomend the resort to families with small children.
Reception staff not welcoming we had no hot water for three days. We had problem with the lock which was eventually fixed on the sixth day. In the second bedroom the lining of the mattress base was coming away see photos and we had paid so much for the accommodation. No complimentary washing up liquid, sponge or cloth in kitchen nothing was provided. Asked for a view in our request this not given to us. The father found the pool and the beach too far away for him and the lighting to the villa was poor so I had to use a flash lamp the peddle stones were uneven. We did eat at La Pasta in the complex friendly staff there and we bought fresh croissants and bread rolls in the shop every morning shop close to the villa.
