Visited these very clean and spaciously laid out apartments on 4 hectares of pinewood in mid September . Very clean apartments and situated away from the main vilamoura marina which ensures quietness and tranquility but certainly walkable distance. I visited as a family with my young 15 month daughter in a pram and took us leisurely walk 25 minutes to the beach or 20 minutes to the marina. No shop on site but a local supermarket is 10 min walk down a slightly gradient hill. Not hard coming back. The reception area isn't 24/7 and is not available from after 8.30pm but we never needed or saw reception again after checking in on arrival at 4pm. Easy enough. Good sized pools and in September hardly busy at all with 28C and clear skies all week. Never used the restaurant but I heard it was ok but vilamoura is far better for choice. Would recommend a ground floor for children which we requested. I noted safety bars on balcony but looked like sharp potential for toddlers of our daughters age so was grateful for ground floor . Very clean apartments and very friendly. Kitchen and bathroom basic but clean and easily good enough. Great living area. Highly recommended for a quiet family holiday but walkable to the hussle of bars and restaurants in Vilamoura. Will definitely return next year to Pinhal da Marina and vilamoura, which is far far classier than Albuferia!. Enjoy Danny783

Stayed at these apartments for a week with my husband and daughter in September. The apartments are spacious and clean apart from an ant problem in ours. I reported this to reception as they were getting into our food and they gave me a can of spray which seemed to do the trick. It is in a quiet location with not much going on day or night. It is up to you to make your own entertainment. This suited us as we were self catering and like to have the choice to eat in or out. The cooking facilities were ok, no oven but a microwave, toaster, kettle and hob. Also a dishwasher which came in very handy. Take a few extra dishwasher tabs as they will charge you in reception for any you may need. The pool areas are kept very clean and the grounds are spotless. There are no facilities for late check out except a toilet in reception to change in. I thought this was a bit poor but we managed ok because we didn't have a choice. The weds market was ok but the taxi fare was 12 euros each way which I thought was a bit steep. 5 min walk to the local spar but please be aware when using the ATM machine there that you will get badly stitched up if you are using a prepaid card. I was charged about 70 euros for 2 transactions without even realising it until I got home and checked my balance. The marina is about a 15/20 min walk but is a very pleasant walk. The weather was beautiful in the day but turns a bit chilly at night. Ate out in the courtyard a few times and also in the marina. I would definitely return for a peaceful end of summer break. It was good value for money compared to other hotels in Vilamoura.

My experience with this resort is very mixed. The location on a hill is beautiful and the tall pine trees really contribute to a relaxed holiday atmosphere. However, the place is crowded with groups of British people, drinking from sunset pretty much until they pass out, and making a lot of noise in the process. I specifically asked for a room in a quiet location (when booking and again later in a separate email), but was given what I can safely say was the LEAST quiet room of all. Overlooking the main pool and adjacent restaurant and bar, I was surrounded by noise all day. When I mentioned this upon arrival after having been shown my room, I received zero response from the staff so was pretty much stuck there for 2 weeks. I went through 3 sets of earplugs during my stay. This, and the staff's unresponsive attitude is the main reason why I won't be coming back here. The room was nicely decorated. The kitchen fully equipped - it even had a diswasher. There are 2 pools on the complex - the main pool is the busy one with all the drinking Brits and playing childeren. The second pool (same size) is much nicer and more relaxed. The resport is on a hill and it's a bit of a climb to get there, especially since the entrance is at the back (seen from the street side). When considering to book this resort I was put off by the mentioning that there is only wifi at the bar and reception area, but in reality you can simply rent a router and then you have excellent wifi in your appartement. The cost of renting the router is about equivalent to the costs of renting the safe in the appartment (which is free at Pinhal), so it doesn't set you back too much.

Two of us visited for a long weekend. The apartment was very clean and spacious. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. The pool bar has a large variety of drinks and a small menu for food. The food is very nice and freshly made. It is around 20 mins walk away from the main marina area where there are lots of bars and restaurants. There is a local supermarket Spar within 10 mins. Would definitely visit again and stay here again. Highly recommended

Just returned from a four night break at Pinhal da Marina. We had the best time, studio apartment was fantastic and immaculately cleaned and cared for. There are two pools, the larger one with lovely poolside bar/restaurant probably more suited to families and a smaller pool which we loved which was quiet, very well maintained and so peaceful. As already mentioned there's a Spar about ten minutes walk and a further five to ten mins to Vilamoura marina which has some fabulous restaurants and bars Would not hesitate in recommending these apartments, we had a late arrival flight and although reception is not 24 hours there was someone there to meet us and take us directly to our apartment. Promised ourselves we'll be back soon!

These apartments are set in lovely secluded gardens approx a 15 minute walk from Vilamoura Marina. The apartments and complex are kept spotlessly clean. With all the amenities you need. Each apartment has either a garden view, or a pool view. The apartments are superbly equipped, with Dishwasher, ironing board, iron, hairdryer, fridge freezer, microwave, hob, kettle, food blender and all the cooking equipment and serving dishes that you would need. As with everything at Pinhal da Marina all kitchen equipment is kept in immaculate condition. A cleaning service comes daily changing bedding and towels. There is a Resturant on site so after spending a morning lounging around either of the two pools, you can stroll to the Resturant for a snack or meal, or a refreshment from the bar, again this is kept spotlessly clean and is reasonable priced.

The complex is easy to find just off Avenida Melvin Jones. 2 large swimming pools that are well maintained and clean. They are checked constantly by the staff. We stayed by the quieter pool as our apartment overlooked it and it was nearer. The main pool is close to the bar and restaurant, ours was a little further away but the proximity to our apartment made it very convenient. It was also good to see that the complex had a policy of no towels for claiming sunbeds although a few people did ignore this rule and also because there was no need to do it as there were plenty of pool side beds. The apartment was very clean and spacious, it was cleaned everyday but one. Don't expect them to do a deep clean, this is only for sheets and towels. Each apartment has a dishwasher so don't be expecting them to wash your dishes. We only used the restaurant once. You can't just wander up for a coffee in the morning without pre booking a full breakfast, I think this should be changed. We had an evening meal there the first night and it was pretty basic and lacking in flavour. To be fair to them we did not eat here again, so this may have been a one off. It certainly wouldn't stop me from visiting again. It was easy for us to get around as we had a car and there is plenty of free parking outside the apartments. The nearest shop is probably a 15-20 minute walk away and the complex also arrange day trips etc.

Pinhal Da Marina claims to be four star accommodation. I consider myself to be fairly well travelled and in my estimation there is no way that it should be rated as four star. The room was booked for one night for two adults and one nine year old child for the amount of £170. The check in time was 1700hrs. The accommodation was tired and warn. Brown warn out bath. No reception on television. Rusty electro domestics. The top of the wardrobe was hanging off. The toilet was blocked. Two single beds in the bedroom with my nine year old expected to sleep in the living room on his own. Not sufficient towels for three only for two. No shower gel in bathroom No coffee or milk in room. In general it appeared to be clean but due to the general wear of the room it looked dirty. On arrival at the apartment the cleaner had left a puddle of soapy water outside the front door. I would not stay at this location again and would not recommend it to anyone. I am grateful that i stayed for the one night

Outskirts of complex was brilliant! Swimming pools were good and quiet. Reception checking in quite quick. Unfortunately the apartment in itself was horrendous, not as clean as one would expect. There were ants in bathroom, sitting room and kitchen! Bathroom very outdated and bath was dirty and old. Only 2 towels to share between 4. Bathroom door was cracked on the top. Kitchen cupboards broken and extremely old. Under one of the kitchen cabinets we found a big lump of mould, apart from all the ants walking around the worktop and kitchen wall. Definitely not a 4 star rated apartment. Complained to the reception about the ants and was told it was normal in this time of season. Not amused at all.

Beautiful location also in walking distance to the marina, apartment looked out to lovely Green land scaped ground's. Swimming pools excellent, staff very friendly and helpful especially on reception. Facilities in the apartment excellent clean, large dishwasher, good water pressure in the shower. Good reception on TV. Takeaway service offered brilliant idea, pizza lovely. Enjoyed so much Will be returning soon.
