Forget to be accomodated in this residence, specially on the first floor or you will never sleep : live music in a bar on the ground floor, discotheque until 5 am with bass sounds shaking walls and drunk people shouting all night long in the corridors. If you want to have fun, be noisy and drunk, that is the right place as nobody will disturb you when you will annoy other customers

Been staying here for the last four years good central location but well past it's sell buy date. Not 4 star prob 2 at best. Will stay somewhere else next year. Breakfast is horrible so don't bother booking b&b go to a restaurant to eat.

This is an excellently positioned hotel for a golf trip. We were a group of 8 in four very spacious rooms. Rooms were spotless and well serviced. Staff were very friendly and helpful. We were on B and B stay and the breakfast was ok. The pool area was nice with plenty of beds but we felt the pool could have been cleaner. While it didn’t bother us to much the noise from the bars below could be an issue if traveling with young family. Overall I would stay again, but not in a family situation.

Location is on the second line from the Marina - pay the small amount extra for Marina view for great views. Accommodation is apartment style - very spacious, clean, enormous balconies. The pool was ok - no problems getting sun beds. Breakfast is included,it was ok but maybe not the wide choice normally served in hotels. The bar never seemed to be open during our stay- loads of bars on the doorstep though. Free wifi was good in the apartment.I would stay here again for location at a good price.

Went back to the Olympus after 9 years since the last golf trip .The hotel has had a little face lift rooms are very basic but good, breakfast was good and Lizzys Bar under neath the hotel is a must visit (She'll look after you ) also the hotel stands about 150 from the harbour where there are numerous reasturants and bars to choose from, there's something for everyone

IF you want to stay at the marina, this hotel is a brilliant location. We paid a bit more for a one bed apartment with marina view. Definitely worth the extra, the rooms facing the marina get the sun late afternoon through to sunset. Poolside views aren't so good but probably a bit quieter. the apartment was really spacious and also had toiletries and hairdryer, so if you're not too fussy and watching your luggage weights that's a bonus Breakfast was poor, we went across the road to Romarina - brilliant quality and caters to all tastes from full english to avocado and poached eggs. Pool was good, didn't matter when we went to the pool we always got a sun lounger, some of the apartments are privately owned so hotel probably not at capacity meaning plenty of beds. If i was looking for a cheap last minute deal i would go back for location but would definitely do self catering.

Booked this place for a short break mainly because of it's central location but also because it's classed as 4 star and had an outdoor pool. I couldn't recommend this place for a number of reasons. There's no way this is 4 star quality. The communal areas are nice enough but the rooms are badly in need of some attention - i would say it's a 2 star place at best. Fittings are hanging off the walls and the room needed a good clean. I had also requested a twin room but got a double instead so i'd to sleep on the sofa bed which was terrible Also, this isn't just a hotel. It also has private residences within the building. We were next door to a private apartment and at one point we seen 7 people go in and out. The kids were also playing football outside on the balcony at 3am so we got no sleep that night. When we asked the guy on the front desk why they don't divulge this he just said 'you don't need to know'. Next issue was that the pool was shut due to algae issues according to the front desk. Next thing was that the bars at the hotel foyer are open well after 4 am and the noise is horrendous. We had folk shouting their head off up until 7am in the morning - again, no sleep. We also requested a hotel transfer before we arrived but got no response - again, just an apathetic response from the front desk who blamed IT issues. When we requested a transfer back to the airport, it didn't turn up and we had to ask front desk 4 times to chase the taxi up. They just didn't really seem to care. An awful place and it cost 700euro for 3 nights - shocking.

My friends recommended this hotel to us and gived it a go with my all family.. great hotel for the price I paid 2bedroms with kitchen, dining area and living room. Our beds were made every day and staff were friendly.. the buffet breakfast was nice.. the best thing was it was very close to everything like beach, marina, supermarket, wine shops, restaurant, bars and pub. Definitely will use this restaurant next time in vilamoura..

We arrived late evening with concerns about parking as I am disabled however the receptionist told us to park in the underground car park and we could use it free all week. Our room was on the 7th floor and was massive a corner room overlooking the pool with a balcony on two sides with a view of the marina. Breakfast was good although got very busy by 9am, the staff were lovely and plentiful food to suit all. Room was cleaned daily with fresh towels and toiletries. The swimming pool was pleasantly set in lawn with ample sun beds available.I hired a mobility scooter and staff were very accommodating for charging etc.(Algarve Mobility were excellent). The position of this hotel could not be better, just over the road from the marina with all its shops bars and restaurants. We will certainly return to the Luna Olympus when next in the Algarve.

Stayed here for a week as part of a Jet2.com package. Was initially a bit wary having read some reviews but was more than pleasantly surprised. Reception staff were brilliant - Paula had taken on board our request for a lower floor room facing the swimming pool and our room was ready on arrival. Very spacious and clean apartment with a large balcony and comfy beds. Efficient air conditioning in the room and very good wifi. Had great service from all staff, including the cleaners and particularly the reception staff, the breakfast staff and the young lady who works at breakfast and doubles up by manning the poolside bar/kiosk - big thumbs up. Breakfast covers all tastes - English and continental - a previous reviewer had complained about the size of the plates!!!! No restrictions as far as we could see on how many times you could re-fill your plate! Good sized pool which was cleaned meticulously daily. Even more impressive was the location - close to the beach (5 minute walk) and a 2 minute walk to the spectacular marina area with its plethora of bars and restaurants. Good small supermarket about 5 minutes walk away with gorgeous fresh bread and pastries! All in all, a very good experience and wouldn't hesitate to return.
