Arrived for a four night stay and was immediatley greeted by a stuffy room with only one working plug socket. I switched on the air con with hope that the room would quickly cool down but soon realised it was not working, I went to reception to report the issue and was given a remote control which made no diffference to the function of the air conditioning, returning to reception I was toid a technician would visit while I was out. A day went by and another day, with me speaking to a number of reception staff (one saying they knew it didnt work but couldn't change me rooms as there was none available, I knew this was untrue as I was able to enquire about booking a roomn online myself. Another said if I threatened the manager with putting up a bad reveiw on here he would be more likely to help. They were getting a bad review regardless! On checking out after a very long 4 days and nights, I was met at reception by staff advising I owed money for drinks on my room. This was incorrect as I had not used hotel services at all. I told them this and a lady behind the desk said 'if you don't believe you have had those then its okay', which makes me believe they were trying to con money out of guests rather than making an honest mistake. All in all, I would not advise to stay here unless you have very low expectations of standards and customer service.

Stayed for 5 nights in this hotel. Recently refurbished so the room was nice. Paid extra for sea view but wasted our money. No balcony and another hotel between us and sea so not much to see. Pool area tired and pool bar was closed the whole stay. Hotel is short walk to very nice beach. Although the prom area is being improved it still has a long way to go so may be a better resort in a couple of years. Town very run down when you move away from front. On the plus side the hotel is very near the bus station so easy to travel to other resorts. We also walked easily to Vilamoura. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful. Only ate once in restaurant for breakfast and was nice.

This was our second visit to this hotel. We had bedroom on the sixth floor with a small balcony and a sea view. The room was clean and had everything we required. Towels were changed and room cleaned daily. Toiletries are provided and hairdryer was one of the best in any hotel I have stayed. Breakfast provided Yoghurt, cereal and fruit. Bacon, eggs, beans and mushrooms were the hot choice. Plenty of bread choices. NOTE TO MANAGEMENT- The pool area is very pleasant but needs to be cleaned up, this is my only fault with this hotel.

Stayed here in the first week of October. The hotel is located close to the beach in a residential part of Quarteira. The proximity of the beach and the big promenade are great advantages! The room was cleaned and towels changed each day except for one day. The bed linen was changed every 3 days. Inside the hotel is very clean. However the red mat at the front of the hotel which is nailed to the ground is not very clean and I feel that first impressions would be improved if the mat were removed altogether. There is also a good pool at the back of the hotel which seemed very clean. There were plenty of sun loungers but these would need to be cleaned from time to time as some were quite stained. The surroundings of the pool would also need attention. A small bit of regular maintenance and cleaning would bring the pool area up to a very acceptable standard. The hotel also has a small gym and sauna and Turkish bath but I did not avail of any of these facilities so I am not in a position to comment on them. We stayed on a bed and breakfast basis and the breakfast was very good with plenty of the usual foods. One suggestion I have is that more fresh fruit should be part of the fruit salad for breakfast as it was generally canned fruit that was available. The staff at the hotel were very friendly and the lady who worked in the restaurant was particularly helpful and very hard working. Overall we enjoyed our stay at the hotel and we would stay again. However I feel that it would not take a great deal of work and effort to bring this hotel to another level.

We have been coming to quarteira for many years, normally staying in the neighbouring hotel , the "Dom Jose". However, due to the "Dom Jose", being far too pricey these days, we decided to give the "Quarteira sol", a try. I'm pleased we did ! I would say Utes better ! The rooms are huge, beds very comfortable, breakfast excellent, cleanliness to a high standard. What stands out though is the friendliest staff ever ! Really helpfull and efficient. Always acknowledge you ( especially reception). There are a few suggestions I would make. Fridge / kettle in room A few more staff on as bar staff seemed to struggle on busy periods Apart from that, I would definitely return !

We've been coming here for at least 6 years and always get a friendly welcome! The hotel is modern with lovely decor and the rooms are very clean with fantastic daily housekeeping. The breakfast is good with a wide selection of hot, cold and continental choices at excellent value for money and the 3 course evening meal option for €14 is great. The hotel has a beautiful pool and sunbathing area which has the sun most of the day with a bar and snacks available and a games room, gym and Turkish bath. The higher floors have breathtaking sea views across to Vilamoura, and many an evening you can experience a wonderful sunset into the sea. All the staff are so helpful and friendly, especially the reception girls Ferbieanna and Vanessa who are absolutely fantastic! The hotel is 1 minute from the beach and esplanade where there are plenty of cafes, restaurants and bars. This is such a lovely place to visit as the locals are always so friendly and welcoming....that's why we always return as we love it!

We weren't expecting much of this property but were pleasantly surprised! It is well maintained, very clean and in a great location. A 'no fuss' hotel but still very good. A good choice is offered at breakfast but the hot food tended to be only luke warm. It is quiet so ideal for a chilled break. Our only complaint was that the bar wasn't manned for a great deal of the time so getting a drink proved to be tricky. This wasn't really a major problem though as there are plenty of bars nearby. We requested a sea view room which was at no extra cost but this was at the expense of having a balcony. This may not be the case with all the sea view rooms so it's best to check first. The room was a good size with a separate lounge/study area. Two TVs! Beds and towels were changed at least every other day which was more than they published and more than expected. Overall value for money was excellent and we will definitely stay here again.

Well.... from the outside the hotel looked basic. No problem. Only a last minute 4 day break. Hotel lobby was beautiful. Well looked after and pretty. The staff were friendly, when you could find someone and that made getting a drink at the bar difficult. Booked half board so that we always had something. Bad move. The food that was there was very basic and there was no choice. One night was pork slices or salmon. Now normally this would not be a problem, there is always a salad bar. No! We checked the menu everyday before choosing to eat out. The very small pool was tucked behind the hotel between lots of other hotels so no sun appeared to come over ( not that we spent much time there) I did feel like nearly £1000 for 2 people for 4 days was an awful lot for tge experience. Would i go again, sadly not

We stayed at the Quarteira Sol for 9 nights. Generally, the hotel is good, however there were a few things that unfortunately made our stay unpleasant. To start with the good, it is very well located in Terms of distance to the beach and Main Street (200m). This was the best thing about it. The room however had its problems, the bathroom had absolutely no ventilation, not a window, nothing. To add, the air conditioning did not work properly and therefore we really struggled with sleep considering it is +30 degrees you can imagine the rooms get very hot. In terms of cleaning, in 9 days the staff literally changed our towels only, the room was not touched and the bedding was just 'made' and never replaced. The breakfast is good and the wifi works well.

The Hotel is very Neat amd Clean. The Staff is very Friendly and Caring . The Food is okay. The room prices is also Reasonable . Overall Had a Great time there . We will definetly stay here back On our next visit. Recommended
