Stayed: 18th - 20th February 2017 Room: Superior Double Room Travelling as a couple. Arrived a couple of hours before check in and found the receptionist uninterested and standoffish towards us to begin with. We left our bags in while we went to explore and we were handed a small map and the codes to the hotel WiFi. We returned later on and met a different receptionist who was very helpful and friendly with our check in. We stayed in a superior double room which had a large walk in wardrobe, small seated area and a nice bathroom. The bed was firm but comfortable and the pillows were very comfortable. A nice touch was the mattress actually being a double rather than two singles pushed together. The room was very well cleaned for the most part. Couple of things that let it down was two spotlights missing in the bathroom and one over the bed. There were no plugs beside the beds which was annoying, where as there were plugs at the other end of the room, where the bed looks like it once was. There was some black around the grout of the shower although it wasn't enough to bother either of us. Our room faced onto the road and noise only affected us one morning when waste was being collected. The large restaurant overlooking the marina is only open for breakfast and dinner is hosted in the small dining room which doesn't have much appeal. The breakfast was fine, your typical buffet style breakfast found in most European hotels. We ate in the hotel restaurant our first night and the food was average. We were given bread with shriveled olives and packaged pâtés while we waited which weren't great. My girlfriend had the spaghetti bolognese which was poor enough. I had the fillet steak which was beautifully pink and I could not fault. Service was extremely slow and disjointed throughout the meal. The hotel pool was open while we were there but the hotel staff advised that it was not heated and rather cold as it is on the roof top. We headed up to see it one day expecting maybe to have a swim but found it had substantial amount of twigs, feathers and bird waste floating in it. Overall very poor. The hotel bar was generally never staffed which meant getting served was a chore. A large 440ml local draft beer at the hotel bar will set you back €4.00 which was the fairly standard price around Faro. WiFi around the hotel is of a reasonable good standard and easily allowed for watching videos on social media etc.
Just here for a night on the way to Seville Although out of season service was excellent starting at front desk Good facilities nice breakfast centrally located Parking is outside although free you need to get lucky to get a spot Would recommend this hotel for a longer stay
Our first room was gorgeous... beautifully and recently renovated, overlooking the marina. Some renovation work still ongoing on the floor below, so had some issues - the management responded quickly and graciously and moved us to an even better room! Very impressed by their customer care. On our last night, weather was awful so thought we'd eat in - the hotel restaurant was unexpectedly fantastic...
Staff went above and beyond to help.I booked and paid for our four night stay with a company called Hoteling in June last year. With my confirmation in hand went to Reception to check in.After the receptionist looked at her screen for a few minuites and went into the back office to make a phone call. She came out and very calmly told us that Hoteling who we booked with is a part of the Lowcost holiday group that went bust. The hotel did not receive the booking or money I paid. She said the hotel did have rooms available and would be able to accomidate us at the best price they could find in line then they would be willing to give a 50% discount on top.I was so relived as delighted as the hotel didn't need to help us at all.We had a great stay. The hotel is in a fantastic location for buses and train links along the coast to other resorts. The town of Faro is very nice with lovely restaurants .Hotel Eva has a great rooftop pool which is open May-October.The breakfast was fresh and of good quality.I would most defiantly stay again if I return to Faro.
The room was small but clean, the staff are friendly and willing to help they even gave a to-go breakfast as our flight left very early before the restaurant opened. The hotel is close to the bus station, train station all within walking distance. Breakfast was included with your room and you had amazing views of the marina and surrounding area. The only negative thing was we stayed for 6 nights and the room was only cleaned 3 times. (410)
Good location near Marina and restaurants. standard room was good size with good bathroom. Room was on the road side and it was a quiet Sunday night but we heard no traffic noise etc. Nice bar in which prices are very reasonable for a hotel bar. Large glass red wine 3 Euro. Reception efficient and friendly. Breakfast good with hot and cold selections and great view. Only real comment is hotels airport shuttle costs 15 Euro. We take a taxi which costs 10 Euro.
The room (325) we had faced to the street and was rather tired but adequate. At night it got rather warm so you could either use the aircon which was noisy or open the ranch slider which you then got street noise. At 5am the dumpsters were emptied making a lot of noise. The bed - turning over you could hear the ping of the springs and was well past it's use by date. The bathroom was good except if it the shower door wasn't in quite the right place the water went all over the floor - not fun mopping it up! The location was good as was the breakfast with lovely views across the estuary. We also had dinner there which was very nice also with great views. This was the best part of our stay.
Booked for a single night trip. Excellent breakfast and views from the dining room. Didn't have the pleasure of dinner or lunch. The room was adequate, facing the main road and had all the necessary basics needed. Could do with a coffee / tea maker. The Mini bar was only stocked with small bottles of water which were very expensive at Euro3.00. Perhaps sea or marina views may be better?
This hotel is amazing! The room is big enough for 2 and any more it would a squeeze ... we had a room with a marina view (always ask if you can get this room as the view is beautiful!) Bed is comfy and the bathroom is a good size too - slightly dated but doesn't affect the stay at this place Breakfast is good too and is on the top floor with beautiful views of the estuary and marina This hotel is located centrally to all local bars shops restaurants and the shopping mall is 10 mins away in a taxi and the hotel is 15 mins away from the airport in a taxi. We loved this place so much that we are coming back in April 2017!!!
Hotel Eva never replied to my numerous E-mails in which I requested an extra night stay since Christmas 2016, so I had to arrange it upon my arrival. I paid for the extra night well advance but the room key did not functioned for the extra day, so was with the WiFi connection - so I got a new key and internet code, but not apologies. The furniture in the rooms are very old. The lights in the room and bathroom are weak/dim especially for shaving. The selection of this hotel was not my choice - the event organiser did it. The tv is the smallest size. The plastic chair in the steam bath (room) is broken. The sauna furniture needs refurbishment. Though the spa and health section should be open during weekends until 6 PM it was closed before 5 PM. The only good in this hotel: the restaurant: a variety of lot of fresh foods.
