Family of 5 all adults stayed here for 7 nights. Lovely large rooms and large pools. Family friendly pool is great fun for families wanting to play games. There is also an adult only pool if you want to relax so best of both worlds. Relaxing hotel just perfect to unwind. Entertainment on site was for little ones only. Nothing at all for adults. Could really do with investing in some family friendly entertainment suitable for adults too, shows, dancers etc not just kids games for half an hour. All inclusive drinks finished early too so not great for those wanting to stay up past 9pm and enjoy the evening at the hotel. We went out to the old town each night which is amazing! So much to do and great places to eat. Not far from the hotel. All inclusive food at the hotel was nice. Modern, slick look, help your self. All inclusive not what we have been used to in the past where people serve you fresh food but lovely atmosphere and the view outside is great. Tennis courts also worth a go! Good fun. We have recommended and would return as we had a relaxing time.

On the last day of our two week stay at the Eden Resort. The resort is fantastic. We were expecting the normal room with kitchenette and toilet, but were surprised to find our room had a kitchen, bathroom, bedroom, dining and living area. The resort looks like a posh residential estate and really is a different class from the type of rooms you would normally get on a budget. We were all inclusive, and to be honest weren't that impressed with the food, although it was decent, there wasn't a lot of choice and the deserts were pretty poor. Although we normally book all inclusive, we do like to eat out a lot in any case. We only went for breakfast the once, it was busy and not great. After that we just got stuff from the supermarket and made breakfast in our room. For the last 3 days we have not been on the restaurant, we have eaten out. The resort is a little bit out of Albufeira, aprox 1 mile walk to Old Town, and 2 - 2.5 miles to the strip New Town, so if you don't like or not able to walk far you may feel a little isolated. I have stopped counting the miles we have walked over the 2 weeks. There is though a frequent free bus service into Old Town and back, so you wont be stuck. If like us you prefer to walk it is a good way of working off some of the excesses. There aren't many restaurants near by, you would need to go into Old Town or onto the main drag to find them, if you want to eat out. Didn't use the hotel bar much, but it seemed OK. For the room and resort alone I would give this holiday 5 stars, as any negatives are outweighed by these factors. I would definitely return to this hotel.

We have just come back from a weeks all inclusive stay. All I can say is wow. This hotel gets the main things bang on, the beds, the food, the beer and their attitude and professionalism. This is the first hotel I have been where you a actually get a villa or an apartment. We had an upstairs apartment which had a bedroom, bathroom, living room, dining room, a kitchen and a decent sized balcony. There are one bed and two bed apartments, and 3 and 4 bed villas with their own pools. Ours was stunning with views of Albufeira Just a couple of the points. The beds are twinned and not doubled you have ask in advance if you like a double. Secondly there is a kitchen and a decent one and that. Those of you thinking of cooking for yourselves food in Portugal is really expensive! Pay the extra and go all inclusive. You do get a fridge freezer, dishwasher, toaster and all the kitchen bits like plates, KFS and pots and pans. There was even a iron and ironing board and an airer! So it was great to make toast and tea! BTW PG Tips is a horrendous price so bring your own! The food in the hotel is the best I have ever had in any all inclusive hotel. They cater the Portuguese and British taste, so don't worry there is full English and continental breakfasts! There is also toasties and burgers through out the day. The beer and wine is full strength Estrelle beer and wine. The spirits are the usual house garb, but they tasted ok. There are three outside pools and one indoor. The main town is a 25 minute walk away down hill. I didn't try up hill! There is a free shuttle bus through out the day and a taxi is only €3.25. All in all this is a brilliant hotel. There are a few niggles, the apple bar which is the upper bar with the entertainment is too small. Plus there are loads of screaming kids but that's what you get with family inspired hotels. However these are small gripes. I would thoroughly recommend this hotel!

My husband and myself went here for a week in February. We knew it was out of season but we went for some relaxation and we got that. We had a 1 bedroom apartment which was an upstairs apartment with a sofa bed, dining room, bedroom, kitchen and bathroom. It was very big and very clean. We were all inclusive but the kitchen was fully equipped if you are staying self catering. ( there is a dishwasher in the kitchen but take your own dishwasher tablets as we found them expensive in portugal ) We also took our own teabags as there is a kettle but the teabags in the hotel weren't great. The all inclusive food was fantastic and there was always something to eat even for the fussy eaters. If you really wanted to you could eat all day. We enjoyed the drinks in the kiosk bar but the apple bar is far too small for the amount of people in the complex and we were out of season. It was my birthday while we were there and the hotel gave me a bottle of bubbly and some fruit kebabs with chocolate dip. A lovely surprise. All the staff were very friendly and would do anything for you as long as you are polite to them. There is a free shuttle bus to the old town 4 times a day but we walked down the hill which is a 25 minute walk and got a taxi back which cost €3.75 the pools looked great but we didn't use them as it was too cold in February. I would definitely recommend this place to everyone and I will be back again.

We booked a cheap winter break. We got such a surprise. On arrival at the hotel we booked in and as it was late the receptionist gave us a bag with water, juice, pears and filled rolls. Really unexpected. Our apartment was huge, 2 big bedrooms, one ensuite plus main bathroom good sized kitchen large dinning and sitting area. The food was brilliant with chefs checking everything all through meal service. The staff were all really lovely and friendly. The whole place was really clean with staff cleaning all the time. The free shuttle to the old town was very appreciated and the driver will do as many journeys as needed until everyone has been transported. Last point the all inclusive drinks are not watered down. A brilliant holiday, thank you Eden resort.

Amazing complex we stopped in a one bed apartment very large and modern. The food was very good quality not you usual all inc. Food, although not much choice but saying that would prefer quality to quantity. All the staff were polite and happy to help in any way they could, we even had a bottle of fizz and some fruit skews and choc dip delivered to our room for my husbands 40th a lovely suprise. The only thing to let the complex down is the seating area not enough and very cold obviously it was feb so to be expected but can imagine in high season its a squeeze. All in all excellent holiday .

Very pleasant and clean apartment. We had a 2 bed apartment which was billed as 2 en-suites, but actually had one en-suite and 1 house bathroom. The restaurant was good, plenty of choice of salads etc. Perhaps a bit repetitive but I think that is par for the course for all inclusive in this area. Biggest complaint is the acoustics in the bar which make it unpleasantly loud even when it is almost empty. perhaps curtains or some other soft furnishings would improve it - the staff are friendly and helpful, but it is not a nice place to sit and enjoy a drink at sunset, which is a shame. Other that that we loved it. The lack of entertainment was not a problem for us. If you do not have transport the resort is rather isolated and in winter there is not a lot to do. We had a car and the resort was used as a base for day trips so perfect for us.

To put this property into context - I stopped with my wife and in-laws for 8 days paying just £300 each for an all inclusive stay. Location is just far enough from the town (uphill) to make it feel exclusive, free transport is available but taxis are also very cheap also. Apartments as simlpy huge and reasonably well appointed. Contrary to other comments - our room was cleaned daily with new towels and bedding every other day b y very friendly staff. Food and drink available to all include guests is generally poor - fellow guests I saw seemed very happy with the food and drink and in fairness - who am I to comment on others obvious satisfaction? We chose to eat out or buy food from the local markets and cook in our well equipped kitchen - an inexpensive option. Entertainment was not for me but with the town just 5 mins away there is more than enough choice or evening entertainment. Up to now all is absolutely acceptable but I was horrified by one aspect of the resort. Staff and guests ignore the site perimeter road speed limit - if there is one..!! I observed two near misses on the crossing outside the resort office (taxis park on the crossing - really..) and was forced to pull my 85 year old Father in Law out of the way of a car traveling at 50mph + the driver of which blew his horn as he skidded to a stop on the crossing to move us out of his way. Thomas Cook should look at this major safety issue and seek an urgent resolution. Good luck as the Duty Manger laughed at me when I raised my concerns "its just Portugal"..... Those travellers with children may want to consider another resort with a more proactive approach to traffic safety inside the property?

Excellent accomadation and food good choice of drinks but limited entertainment and poor leisure seating arrangement free transport to and from the town which was great excellent staff very friendly all in all good value for money

Stayed for 4 nights February half term. Only went self catering and didn't use restaurant so can't comment on that. However, for the size of the complex it did look on the small size. There are plenty of nice places to eat out in the old town. Stayed in a one bedroom apartment which was spacious, bright and airy. Sofa bed was not comfortable whatsoever, think if I was to stay again I would opt and pay the extra for a 2 bed. Wifi (free) was one of the best we have come across - must have tv on though for it to work. Although apartment was clean, the stairwell leading to it was very dirty and didn't look as though it had received a good clean for a while. Used the indoor pool a couple of times - note swimming caps must be worn. You receive a card for pool towels on arrival. Outdoor pools looked nice as are grounds and gardens. Given that we stayed in February we did not make use of them. There is also ample parking with several parking slots near all accommodation. Location is good, few minutes drive from the old town, we had a car and therefore getting out and about was easy. Hotel run a courtesy bus to old town which we used once, taxi return only cost 4€. Final disappointment was that we only had our towels changed once in the 4 nights we were there. Would normally expect them to be changed more often. Given the couple of gripes I think I would consider returning as I feel it's good value for money.
