After scouring trip advisor and various holiday websites we settled on Eden based on its good reviews, and we weren’t disappointed. Greeted on arrival by pleasant, friendly staff. The buildings are all a traditional style in bright colours with enough room between them to not feel like you’re living on top of one another. The 3 pools are all of a similar size, one with a pool bar, obviously more busy than the rest, but still never had a problem getting a sun lounger by the water. The other 2 a kid and an adults only were always much quieter. Only a 15 minute walk into town or an Uber for 3-5 euros. And a 15 minute drive to some lovely quiet beaches slightly away from the main one. The food wasn’t a fantastic, but catering for every one I guess they can’t have anything too exotic but more local dishes would be nice.

We have just returned home after an amazing 10 day holiday staying at Eden Resort, we travelled as a family of 5 and were booked for a 2 bedroom apartment on a self catering basis. We arrived at the hotel at around 1pm but we knew that our room wasn’t going to be ready untill 4pm so we prepared by having our swimming stuff to hand, we were able to get changed in the spa and leave our luggage in the reception. We were given tokens to exchange for pool towels down at the pool, this is such a great idea as you just exchange your token for towels everyday and don’t need to worry about getting your own towels wet and dried again for the next day! Armando the pool attendant was more than happy to greet us at the pool and he seems to work tirelessly handing out towels tidying up and generally keeping everyone happy. He’s a great asset to the resort. We had great fun at the pool and we joined in with the activities straight away including a quiz drop darts and the biggest splash competition. We went to collect the key to our apartment at aroung 4.30pm we were given apartment 159 which was close to the reception and just backed out onto the 2 pools. We were very pleasantly surprised to find we were given a massive apartment 2 story house infact! 2 double bedrooms with en suite, double sofa bed downstairs with a toilet downstairs as well. There is a huge fridge freezer cooker and dishwasher built into kitchen. Air conditioning in both bedrooms and living area. The free WiFi works off the tv press tools on the remote and it gives you the password you can have 3 devices connected to it but the tv has to be on, we just put it on mute so the kids could use their devices when they wanted. I had read reviews before saying the rooms were dirty and/ or run down I definitely did not think our apartment was dirty yes it could maybe do with a lick of paint but nothing to grumble about, also have read about ants in rooms we had some outside but this is just natural when you have kids dropping bits of food there was never a problem with them. The towels were changed a lot more than we expected maybe 6 times out or 10 night stay and beds were changed twice. Cleaning was to a high standard and cleaners always checked if ok to come in if we were in the room. We spent most our time at the main family pool where the activities run, was never a problem to find sun beds for the 5 of us. we as a family enjoyed taking part in activities our favourite was definitely splash bingo!! There is a quieter family pool and an adults only pool. Must give a big shout out to Tom who worked very hard over the 10days we were there my kids just loved him and he was great with all the kids and adults! We ordered some food to takeaway from the pool bar a couple of times and found the prices were not too expensive. Chips were included in kids meals and also with sandwiches toasties etc. We didn’t use the on site shop so can’t comment on that, we used the Pingo Doce supermarket which is a 5 minute walk out of eden and down the hill to the roundabout, also we went to Lidl a couple of times which is only a short 10/15 minute walk. There is a free shuttle bus which runs you to the Old Town it goes 4 times a day 10,12,2 and 5pm I think?! It can be busy but the driver will just keep doing runs untill he gets everyone there. We went to the nighttime entertainment a couple of nights as my youngest wanted to go to the disco but I don’t know if it was because there was just not enough kids or not but the disco was very disappointing they only done a couple of dances, but my daughter still really enjoyed going, we took part in the prize bingo and won a house resulting in a 30% discount voucher for the spa but we did not use it. We also went to a karaoke night where again my kids got well involved. The hotel does look like it’s in the middle of nowhere but the old town is only a 15 minute walk either along the path and through the tunnel under the roundabout or along the pavement by the main road past the petrol station to the roundabout. We always got a taxi back as was often quite late and it is quite a hike on the way back up, for a taxi for 5 it cost us around €5 that’s with a tip. Whilst there we visited Zoomarine which is a great family day out, we arranged our own transport by booking through a website called Findtransfers.com you just put in where you want to go times etc and you will receive quotes via email and you can then chose which is the cheapest and book, we booked with Blue Label and was only €35 for return for the 5 of us. My one and only tiny little gripe would be when we checked out the man on reception just took our key card back without asking if we had had a good stay or thanking us for choosing eden he just looked at us and said”ok” found that a bit rude!! Overall we had an absolutely fantastic stay at eden resort and would definitely return

We spent a week self catering at Eden Resort and had a lovely week of peace and quiet! We had a one bedroom apartment which was nice, could have done with more basic equipment in the kitchen such as a teapot and colander. However it had a basic clean everyday. The resort is kept very well, staff are polite and helpful, the adult only pool was peaceful. The on site shop only had very basic foodstuff. The courtesy bus was useful, however taxi into town was only 4 euro. Only down side of week was that heavy building work was being carried out over the road from our apartment so made using balcony difficult as was very noisy.

This resort is a real gem. The individual villas are well furnished and spotlessly clean and well equipt the only down side is no hairdryer you have to hire from reception free of charge. We stayed on an all inclusive option which was very reasonable the food was fine not gourmet but a few choices each meal time. Although quite a walk into Albuferia there is shuttle four times daily and taxis are about 5/6 euro. Overall lovely relaxing place

Very nice layout of pastel coloured, traditional style buildings in well kept grounds. A lot of road noise which spoiled the experience of sitting out on the balcony. Appartment very spacious and well equipped. Our only dislike was the bathroom, which was large, but did not have any shelf space for toiletries or hook for clothes or towels. The cupboard that the sink was on was rather battered mdf and the silicone around the bath needed renewing. However, the rooms were clean and the towels were changed and beds made regularly. Our kitchen tap was loose and the oven not fixed so it tipped forward, but the kitchen had everything we needed. We were only booked for breakfast and it was fine with a wide choice which was the same daily. We chose to request fried or poached eggs as the scrambled egg, bacon and sausages weren't to our taste. Cereals and fruit and continental breakfasts were also available, but we don't like the taste of sterilized milk so avoided the cereals and tea. We ate an evening meal in the restaurant on the day we arrived which was €30 for hot and cold buffet for 2 including a bottle of wine which was good. We tried the adult pool once at about 6pm when the weather had cooled down, but mostly we explored the old town and went on a couple of outings. We used the free shuttle bus service when too hot to walk but last bus is at 5pm. The walk into town is about a mile and a half but partly off the road. (Only €4 for taxi back if hill too daunting). Same distance to large Lidl supermarket but no taxi rank if you have heavy shopping. We didn't use the resort bars or experience the entertainment so can't comment on them. We can't fault the staff in any way, especially in reception, who were helpful and friendly all the time. Overall, it was a lovely stay - much hotter than expected for October. We feel it would be a lovely place to stay with a young family as the children seemed to be well catered for.

Great resort for families, great entertainment for kids, good beer.... everything I'm not. Went as extremely good deal with BA, single adult, wanting quiet time, in term time - but still loads of kids and plenty of adults loudly enjoying the beer. Shop on site with plenty english products. Great beauty salon. Great facilities to have a shower before heading to the airport at the end of your holiday. I would stay here again but would ask to have apartment as far away from noise as possible.

Family of three went in October. Very nice resort which is aimed at all inclusive. We were bed and breakfast. Our villa was very nice, spacious and comfortable. There are three pools in the resort but you need to be brave to get in the water in october as its very cold. I'm told the waters heated in November but it needs done earlier. There are tennis courts which are free, just require a deposit. Breakfast was fine. Eden resort is about a fifty minute drive from faro airport, we used a sat nav and was no.problem . Apart from missing the actual sign to the resort which is tiny and doesn't light up at night. I'm glad we had a car as its a decent walk into albufiera centre which is the usual pub and all day English breakfast and sky sports on tv style. Eden resort staff are very good and I can definitely recommend this place. The people are friendly everywhere we went and the drivers were very good.

Had a fab holiday here... the resort and apartments are spotlessly clean and well maintained as are pool and bar areas. Short travel time to Albufeira - shuttle bus is great, but could be more frequent through the day - however a taxi into town is only 4 euros! Loads to do in Albufeira. Apartments/villa were great - clean, spacious and well equipped. We were lucky....not close to the family pools, where the noise of the entertainment was a bit too much. The only thing I was not too happy about was the all inclusive dining..the restaurant offered a good variety of meals....if you had no dietary requirements! however, thats the first time I have been away and lost 3lbs!!! To be fair, the kitchen offered a sauce free alternative to most of the meals....however this meant very dry fish or meat dish with little flavour. I was a bit surprised that basics like potatoes and rice were also labeled as containing gluten.....but the language barrier stopped me from arguing this ( my Portugese is not great). My way of getting round this was to take my own gluten free bread to breakfast (although on day 3 I was politely told i could have had gluten free bread provided!!!) . Was glad I did take my own, as I was able to have some toast when I got back to the villa after luch or an evening meal. Would definately stay at Eden again, but self catering only.

We are just coming to the end of our 2 week stay at eden. This is our 3rd visit in the last four years. It's much busier now than previous visits but it is still one of the best places we have stayed. We have been to Portugal 7 times and this is the best place we have stayed. The accomodation is well equipped and clean. It is starting to show signs of needing some TLC in terms of needing a lick of paint but it's still up there in my opinion. Can't comment on food as we self catered. We did eat at the pool bar which was nice but a little overpriced. Caters for all with 2 pools for families and a pool just for adults. The weather has been fantastic. Not seen a cloud for two weeks! There is also entertainment for children during the day. We have already booked to come back next year. Keep up the high standards Eden.

Beautiful holiday village in a quiet location, perfect for families. We stayed in the 2 bedroom villa which was spacious with a modern fitted kitchen including kettle, dishwasher, microwave and integrated fridge freezer which was perfect for us as we travelled with our 3 month old baby. The resort itself has stunning gardens and a lake onsite with varied fish and pond life near to the adults only pool as well as 2 huge swimming pools for families and 2 smaller baby pools for toddlers. The pool bar has a varied choice of drinks on the all inclusive and great daytime entertainment around the pool but there is a quieter family pool on the grounds which is just as nice if you prefer a more relaxed sunbathe. Food on the all inclusive is excellent quality- not too much choice so I would have liked to see a little more on the menu but what they did have was lovely. They also cater for dietary requirements if you let the staff know- we were able to have soya milk at breakfast for example as we don't eat dairy so do let the hotel know before you stay. There are free shuttle buses to take you to the centre of Albufeira every day with various departure times but to jump in a cab is only around 4 euros so it's easily accessible! There is varied night time entertainment every night downstairs with karaoke, live acts, bingo etc and upstairs in their newer bar, there are a couple of live acts per week with some amazing acoustic guitar singers- the upstairs bar is more adult orientated and much more relaxed but they allowed us to come in with our sleeping baby and it was very chilled atmosphere! The Eden resort has everything you need- its ideal for a relaxing holiday with the all inclusive open until 11pm which was ideal for us as we had a small baby but if you prefer to go out after, the new town of Albufeira is close in a cab. Perfect if you're travelling as a group of friends but the resort itself was peaceful and relaxed enough for a chilled family holiday.
