Hi Just returned from such a lovey 5 night break at the Dom Pedro Vilamoura. We had such a great time at the hotel service was very good and efficient. Breakfast was good but found 10 am very early to finish so as a result we did not always get up for breakfast. We will most definitely return. Re: loyalty card I have registered for this quite a few months ago and have not received the card yet. I am most interested in this as we will most definitely will be returning. Thanks for a great time !!! : ) Best regards Fiona O Gorman
First time we've stayed in Vilamoura and we were really impressed with the resort, which is immaculate and a fun place to be. The hotel staff were very helpful and polite. Although the room was basic it was very clean, as were all areas of the hotel. The food was good and the opportunity on half-board to eat at Dom Pedro sister hotels and other locations was very good. We played tennis every day on the good courts, complete the floodlighting, all at no extra cost.
Once again Dom Pedro proved to be an ideal location for our Autumn break. Excellent facilities and very friendly staff. Good location. Reasonably priced. Very comfortable room with probably most comfortable hotel bed I have encountered
lovely hotel about a 7 minute walk from Marina. Hotel reception area and restaurant looked recently refurbished. Pool area was the highlight, so relaxing. Room was very basic, for a 4 Star hotel I would have expected slippers in room and just some finishing touches. Rooms in need of a refurb
This is a nice, well located hotel but it does not make the most of its opportunities to improve customer service to make it a special hotel. We stayed in a Club Room on the eighth floor for 8 nights half board during October 2017. Firstly, the Club Room is badly named. Yes, we got fruit and water on day one (no wine) and a sample of toiletries each day but there was nothing else to distinguish the extra expense of the room. The Dom Pedro even have the cheek to charge an extra €2-50 per day to use the in room safe. How mean!! The rooms are clean and well maintained. The pool area is expansive with good availability of sun beds but there is no service from the Pool Bar to the sun beds and there are no small tables by the beds. The light fittings are filthy and we'd never saw a pool attendant clear leaves from the pool. The buffet breakfast and buffet dinner are very good with plenty of choice but they would. Benefit from an "Egg Station" at breakfast and a "Carvery" section at Dinner. A Al a Carte menu was available in the buffet restaurant at a high additional cost, but we did not see anyone selecting food from it. The staff were very attentive and wine by the glass at €4 is of reasonable quality and measures. The hotel is very popular with golfing parties but this is good for other guests during the day. There was also plenty of tables at breakfast and dinner. There is an advert in the hotel room for Buzios the Dom Pedro Beach Bar which is located about 300m along the beach from the hotel towards the Marina. We were excited to use the Beach Bar at lunchtimes but we were shocked by the atrocious service offered on each if the 3 occasions we tried it. It is a disgrace to the Dom Pedro brand. We waited up to 45 minutes to get a drink before an order was taken. The staff are uninterested and very slow. Ironically, the food is good when you eventually get it although our grilled squid was cold as if it had been waiting in the kitchen to be collected. The prices are high and do not offer good value. Try the Mariesia Beach Bar instead just past the Crowne Plaza Hotel. You will get much better service here and friendly, welcoming faces. The Dom Pedro management team need to review the service at Buzios urgently as can be seen from other recentTrip Advisor comments. Alan F Bolton UK
We stayed here with our 5 month old. Place was clean enough. Fry Breakfast was cold unless you go down at 7am. We asked for cot bed before arrival and when we got there the cot bed was broken & had no matteress they had a duvet folded over to make up a makeshift materess with no cover on it we called for new one but the had nothing else. We asked for a kettle to heat baby's bottles and were told the hotel only had a handful of them and it took a day and a half to get it. Also when we plunged it in in room it would trip the power before boiling. The front desk staff are not to helpfull but the breakfast staff are nice. We were told after arrival we would have to pay extra for the indoor heated pool, outside pool was freezing. Room service is charged @ €7.50 and you have to pay €13 to use safe plus a €10 deposit. The hotel has no information on things to do in the area only golf. I would not stay here again
We stayed all inclusive for 1 week. Room was of a good standard, very clean. Breakfast had a wide variety of different foods and was very good. Buffet meals also wide variety and excellent standard. All staff very friendly and helpful. Grounds had plenty of space with lots of sunbeds, no need to hunt for sunbeds. Location was perfect. Close enough to all amenities but far enough away not to be disturbed by noise. Will definitely stay here again.
A comfortable hotel with good facilities. Many golfers stay here as there is a free shuttle bus to the local courses that are prompt and regular. The buffet breakfsst offers a wide selection but may be a little tiresome over a period. 5 minute walk to the marina.
Amazing staff. Hotel so dated. Breakfast nothing special, they don’t seem to use brand names, for instance they use a cheap version of ‘Nutella’ which isn’t pleasant. The pool towels have seen better days as do the bath towels are worn that badly in parts they are thread bare. I am not sure if the rooms especially the bathrooms are so dated they feel unclean or they are just not the cleanest? Either way we stayed an extra 3 days in Vilamoura after this, and couldn’t wait to check into somewhere else.
I have just returned from a five night visit to Vilamoura staying at the Dom Pedro hotel. There were 15 golfers in the group. We were made very welcome and though we were not in the hotel for much of the time (golf and social in the resort) the stay was good. Check-in (at 10.00am) was seamless and efficient; the staff at reception were unfailing polite and cheerful and the rooms were comfortable with daily proper cleaning. The only slight gripe was the breakfast which is adequate for hungry golfers who were playing early each day but suffered with slow coffee machines/toasters when we were on a tight schedule. Great trip and I would certainly return to the hotel again.
