We chose this hotel because it was located right next to the beach, which it was, literally a 2 minute walk away! We visited almost everyday. The hotel staff were welcoming and friendly. The room had everything you needed, quite basic but had what we needed, with a balcony too. We loved the roof top restaurant element, we did not eat here but breakfast was good and we drank at the bar often which was reasonably priced. The hotel is around a 20 minute walk into the centre, we did not mind this and went every evening, alternatively you could eat in the onsite restaurant. I would come back here, maybe in a year or so but I would recommend if you love the beach!
7 of us for a friend's birthday. I couldn't fault it in anyway . Food and service 1st class. Setting with the views over the beach and cliffs at Praia Dona Ana absolutely stunning. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff. Perfect
Nice and contemporaneos hotel next to the beach and close to the city center. Restaurants and supermarkets nearby. Near the beautiful Porto de Mos beach. Close to Meia Praia, Praia da Luz, Burgau, etc. Beautiful views from the hotel terrace where you'll find a great pool.
Stayed at Carvi Beach for 1 week. It is a 3 star hotel The positives - staff are happy (Jackson is wonderful), helpful and very keen to add to your holiday experience. The rooftop restaurant is a real gem - excellent menus, delicious food, gentle music playing, very bright and airy with option for inside or outside dining and fabulous staff. Delicious fresh fruit at breakfast time. Free wifi Excellent car parking beside hotel and fabulous beach 50 metres from hotel. 15 minute walk to old town (some parts of it not overly scenic/pretty). Fatima's (poolside) mojitos are fabulous!! The not so positives - derelict hotel beside Carvi Beach. Rooms are basic (but adequate and clean), walls thin, corridors boring. Hot breakfast selection poor. Pool small with limited sun loungers around it. Overall we loved the Carvi, its a 3 star hotel with a 5 star restaurant.
we had booked this hotel whilst in the uk and purchased an upgraded room with a sea view for one night as we were visiting Lagos on arrival it was easy to park the car as i dont think the residents of the derelict hotel next door were car owners, the reception was businesslike when we got to the room it was very basic not even a kettle it seemed well worn but freshly whitewashed and appeared fairly clean just very jaded, checking out the bathroom the surfaces and glass were ok looking up i thought perhaps there had been a bloody murder, we eventually found the sea view it was hidden out to the left of the balcony, we stayed for a few hours feeling increasingly ripped off never stayed the whole night when handing back the keys and telling the reception why she politely said oh fine bye then, that amused me i will admit.
All thirteen of us visited the roof top resturaunt for a 30th anniversary meal, including two young children and a baby. The staff were very attentive and nothing was a problem for them. All but one of us (and the kids) ordered fish dishes, including two lobsters. They had a fantastic menu choice and all of us savoured every last mouth full. I would strongly recommend this place for quality food and service, with views to die for.
Just returned from a very enjoyable 2 weeks holiday, via Thomson,All the staff very friendly, and hotel and room very clean & comfortable.Breakfast great, with lots of choice, breads, rolls, cake, fresh fruit, cheese, ham, yogurt, fruit juices ,hot drinks, and more. There is a lounge are near reception and comfortable seating on a terrace near the entrance.Well done Carvi Beach.
Good 3star pool was a little tired and quite small but hotel cleanand nicely decorated.great sea views from some rooms and rooftop restaurant pleasant staff.Breakfast was basic but ok this lacks a lounge room for the not so good days. it is a good 3 star on great beach with very good restaurant in good position both for beach and town .
Visited restaurant on Saturday evening in a group of six. Food was very, very good and there is something on the menu for all tastes. Attentive and friendly service from all staff. The view is fabulous and we all enjoyed our visit. I would recommend the restaurant. We all live locally and are therefore unable to comment on the hotel facilities
Visited this Hotel with my Sister and it was fantastic. The staff were so friendly and helpful, they helped us arrange and book activities during the day. Our hotel room was really big and clean! The hotel restaurant is definitely worth checking out, it has amazing views! They have a live music during the night a few times a week, which I would highly recommend. Outstanding for the price!
