We enjoyed our stay at Atura. The location is very central to all of Albury's restaurants and shopping areas and we were able to walk everywhere we visited. The accommodation is a refurbished Rydges hotel and our room was located on the top floor, overlooking the hotel car park and beyond. Not as bad as it sounds as there were views beyond the parking area. The bed was divine; huge, king size and comfortable - even the pillows were great. The room was a good size with a sofa and table and chairs. The bathroom was quite small but functional and nice toiletries. The hotel staff were friendly and happy to help in any way. Our room rate was very reasonable and included a full buffet breakfast - great deal and free wifi.
We stayed overnight for my son's 21st at the Commercial Club across the road. We had a huge 2 bedroom apartment with kitchen and laundry facilities. It was fantastic! Cheese plate on arrival and as usual having stayed there before the staff were tremendous.
Hotel has had a recent revamp and it is looking really fun and fresh with all the new fit out, rooms are big, clean and have everything you need including breakfast and a nice lobby par and lounge area with pool table. The hotel is in a good location if you need to walk to local shops or alternatively it has lots of free parking bays behind the building. Price- very affordable and much better value and nicer facilities than other hotels/motels in the Albury area. I would definitely stay at the Atura again.
Atura. The name conjures class and Atura delivers in style. The spacious room has the ambience of a big city motel with all the appointments you'd expect from a top of the line establishment. Atura has all the amenities for a short or long stay and feels comfortable in every way. Noise from other guests was negligible, coffee machine worked, shower was a deluge and the bed was adequate, though joined king singles present a long dividing ridge between each side fur your negotiation. The view from the upper floor apartment is scenic, providing glimpses of the night-lit monument. Downstairs there is a perfectly adequate restaurant and adjoining bar, with a judicious mingle space adjacent a huge fireplace that pumps heat in the winter months. Overall, this is a classy establishment worth a stay for a few days or so.
It has been a number of years since my wife and I have been to Albury. The Atura Hotel I believe was the old Travel Lodge but nothing seemed to have changed the staff were friendly especially at Reception. Our room was spacious and comfortable. The hotel is situated across the road from the Commercial Club where all guests are welcomed with very reasonably priced meals. We only stayed 2 nights at the Atura Hotel but would not hesitate staying there again.
We spent one night in the Atura and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The lovely lady at the front desk was an excellent example of what service industries should be about. Check-in was all very fast, easy and painless, and the complimentary drink from the bar was a very pleasant surprise, especially given I had already got a very good deal on the tariff because of my membership of Rydge's loyalty scheme. The room was very spacious, the king size bed was extremely comfortable, and the bathroom was modern, clean and well-maintained (the shower was excellent). My husband's big hotel gripes are noisy fridges and noisy airconditioners - definitely not a problem for him at this hotel! They were whisper-quiet. Hall noise was minimal and street noise was not an issue - our room faced the poolside. The Moccona pod coffee was a big plus compared to the usual bland instant coffee that most hotels provide. Atura is very well located in Albury's main street, and there are lots of eateries within walking distance. We'll definitely stay here again next time we are in Albury.
Staff were really friendly, especially the lady at the front reception (wish l got her name) and the young guy behind the bar. The room was quiet and clean, the bed wasn't too bad for a nights sleep. Would definitely stay here again
My husband and l have just spent two wonderful weeks at this Hotel. The staff are so warming and welcoming. The rooms at the Atura are large and if you get fed up with the air conditioning you are able to open the windows unlike many other Hotels. Thank you to Terri who was so helpful to us at breakfast each morning, the breakfast was excellent and also thank you to Erin for getting the disabled toilet fixed so quickly. The Hotel is just across the road from the Commercial Club and within walking distance to the Shops and Restaurants in Dean street. l would highly recommend the Hotel to everyone.
Pluses: Great bed, room very spacious and clean, good position, quiet on the 6th floor. Minuses: Smallest TV we've had on this roadtrip. Only one plate and knife supplied in room, two coffee pods and no other coffee (nescafe would be be better than nothing!) Shouldn't have to call for what was missing...
Had a very pleasant 1 night stay with our 17 yr old son, we were here for a soccer match. The hotel room was spacious comfortable clean & cosy, it also had an amazing bed!! Happy hour was great as was the dinner & buffet breakfast. Would return again & highly recommend.
