We booked through hotels.com,a 4 night stay at this hotel.
On arrival, we were informed that our room was in the "heritage" part of the hotel. After 1 night we requested to change rooms due to the very strong and noxious smell of cleaning substance, used, we suspect to mask the smell of something else.
The receptionist was annoyed by our request, because the cleaners had finished for the day, and that she would not be able to"let the room"
We eventually were offered another room, above the one we were in, but declined as it was worse than what we had.
We requested a room in the newer part of the hotel, but were informed that these were for Jet2 customers only.
This hotel is an absolute disgrace, in its appearance and deception, and it's attitude to hotels.com customers.
I would like a full refund, but I don't think I am going to get anything after this review.
