Golden Tulip Al Jubail

Admittedly, I hate Saudi Arabia. It's backwards, fundamentalist, and oppressive in every sense of the word. That said, a decent hotel can make a visit there less disagreeable. Now, if you want a room with functional curtains, laundry service that returns your clothing the same day, an air conditioner that doesn't sound like the G train is running through your room, and has a reasonably good internet connection, this place is probably not for you. Don't stay in rooms at the back of the hotel, there is a mosque there that likes to chant at 4:00AM.

I booked this as a change from my usual haunts on a business trip to Jubail Industrial City. What I didnt realise is that it is located in old Jubail, some 15-20 minutes away by car. It is quite near Jubail port so ideal for that. There doesnt seem to be much within walking distance though Other than that and a niggle about the bathroom (more later) the hotel and service were excellent, much better than I had anticipated judging by the outside of the building and the price. Staff were helpful and efficient, the room was a suite with a full set of facilities (coffee, internet, TV, etc), there is also a gym and spa on the 7th floor. I didnt open the curtains but there are sea views. My only negative was the size of the bathroom and shower - given the huge amount of room in the suite, they were surprisingly cramped, with no room to swing a cat even if I'd had one to hand. The food in the restaurant was better than average - the format is combination buffet for starters and dessert and menu for main course. It was well cooked and a reasonable selection of (mostly western) dishes

The rooms are modern and spacious. The hotel has a health club in addition to a modest breakfast buffet. Make sure to book directly with the hotel instead of using a booking app to avoid surprises with your reservation; I learned this the hard way.

Right in front of a beach it's got a great view and lots of convenience stores nearby. Hotel is overall clean and service is good. But as a single business traveller the room is too big for one person. It has a living area and bed room separate and each of quite a decent size. Probably better for families.

Found delicious food and with calm and peaceful night with sea view. As it helped me to negotiate and finalize our deal successfuly I found nice service from assign staff with pleasent personality Finally got a good experience with it.

Poorly situated building although on the sea side .. rooms with no view are very depressing yet wide clean well equipped and well organised .. front office employees are helpful and polite. He upgraded our reservation for one room out of three free of charge to keep us all in the same floor .. pool was good but water was so cold in summer 😂.. Sauna room at pool side free of charge .. I think it's expensive as per room rates and all services like spa, restaurants... I liked it but I don't think that I will go again.

The hotel reach the international expected standard. Unlike most hotels in Saudi Arabia, the furniture was not vandalized by customers. Reservation, Reception and Room Service are from the best you can find in the country. Restaurant do not deserve a Michelin Star but do not get ashamed wile compared with hotels of the same level. Personnel is kind, attentive and efficient. Minus are the surroundings Unlike announced, the parking place is just a few meters of public parking on the road in front of the hotel. Even so the hotel care to reserve those places for customers.

Lived here for over a month, had problems with water, since they give only 2 small bottles of water a day. The rooms are old and dusty and not so well lit. Definitely not worth what you are paying for. The breakfast is also not that great. The surroundings are poor and a little dirty as well. Even the service is poor. The contents of the same order kept changing every time in room service. The Wi-Fi is pretty slow as well. The only advantage is that the rooms are big.

The hotel itself was adequate. The room was large and clean. There was one restaurant and a small coffee shop (only open at certain times). The restaurant was a buffet style and the offerings changed a bit from day to day but mostly the same. Food was OK. The location, however, was terrible. It was advertised as "sea view." but the view was across several lanes of traffic to an industrial area that was anything but attractive. There was construction next door and there was rubble and noise. The outside windows were so dirty that you couldn't see anyway. On the other side, was a vacant lot with an abandoned car and other junk. The whole neighborhood was run down and unappealing. I would not recommend it. It was booked through a travel agent and they have a no refund policy so I was stuck. It was a long way to my place of business so I had to travel 30 to 40 minutes each way every day. If you have ever been to Jubail, you know that the ride takes you through the worst industrial area imaginable. The staff made an effort but even that was spotty. Some were helpful and competent but others were disinterested and distracted. I do not recommend it.

Not sure how to classify this place except run down with zero personality. I decided to stay here per work recommendation to avoid driving back & forth from Dammam where I was staying. Big mistake I would take commute over a room that smells like ash try & staff that seems worn out. A suite that is not designed correctly as well. Take extra from living room to make bathroom bigger shouldn't be something hard! Oh and rooms without window outside what the hell is this prison? Bad for fire safety.
