Recently I had visited this hotel & I enjoyed my stay beyond my expectations, very helpful staff, nice activities during eid vacation, tasty food in the main restaurant, good variety in dishes, near from city center if you have car, the only one with beach front property, separate pool for females, kids playing area, I consider it as a landmark in jubail, they should take care of the rooms views (not sightseeing)& take care of the gardens but overall it is a good idea out of the box.
Arrived at the hotel and both reception check in were very professional and cordial. The airport style security is also a refreshing and comforting. The room is just OK, not impressive, and quite small and dark in appearance. I was hoping for a refurbished room like the pictures depict but carpet, bedding and furniture old and tired. Bed is very comfortable and clean cotton sheets and pillow cases make it a welcome place to retire to. There are plenty of home comforts in the room to make your stay more relaxing but it does not lend itself for extended business stays. The shower and bathroom offer many amenities and clean cotton towels. The outside pool and beach club are OK but a little tired and worn. Hotel is quite noisy with kids running and shouting in the corridors after midnight with no thought or concern for other guests. I have still to use the gym and food outlets so will look forward to reviewing them in the weeks to come.. The breakfast is good and filling with offerings to suit most tastes with fresh egg cooking station. I stay at Intercon. hotels and other leading hotels all over the world and still await this one to impress me.
Whenever I run a session in the Intercontinental hotel in AL Jubail, l have lunch in Altuwayah restaurant in the hotel. I enjoy having lunch there. One of my favorite restaurants. Excellent service, attentive and friendly staff, quality and tasty food with an excellent taste, a touch of beauty, and artistic way of displaying dishes. I even asked to meet the chef and thanked him a lot. Dear Intercontinental hotel, thank you. Do not miss it.
I stayed here again after one year pause. It was and still is an excellent choice - simply a real 5 star hotel. It's not cheap but given the quality and service it is fair. Selfspeaking that breakfast is excellent too. Fitness facilities, pool and outside area are at the same 5star level. The onyl point I would adress is the noise of the air conditioning in the room. It is relatively noisy but given the outside temperatures (was around 30-40°C during my stay) it must of course run at a certain load . Overall a clear and unlimited rfecommendation.
Very cordial welcome at check in. Women at the reception an indication of the new Saudi Arabia. There was some confusion on the booking - a first for me at any IHG hotel. Anyways got sorted out quickly and had a good room. Very comfortable sleep They have a good gym. Hope the ladies gym reopens quick so that the mens gym will be available through the day/evening. Very good lentil soup and pizza for dinner. They even listed camel meat burger on the menu. Ofcourse me being vegetarian meant I did not get to try any of the various meat options. Definitely worth staying if you have work in Jubail.
Rooms are poorly soundproofed you can hear everything above you, next door and in the hallways. The doors close noisily so you will be woken frequently as guests enter and exit in the morning and evening- this goes on until really late and starts very early. Food- main restaurant for breakfast is ok and food edible. Poor choice, Fruit is tinned... Dinner - would recommend going out as the options are pretty dismal. Khobar intercon restaurant is far better. The only saving grace is the staff, very helpful and friendly but they are dealing with a poor product that needs investment. People are paying for a good night sleep which is a basic requirement when staying overnight in a hotel - not to be kept awake by every noise other guests are making.
Clean rooms, attentive staff, respond well to any problems. Very nice gym and facilities. Park and beach club a short walk away. Good value room service, although the buffet for dinner could do with improvement. Overall, very comfortable
This hotel is part of the Intercontinental branch and it really deserves this status. The food is perfect, tasty and lots to choose from (lunch buffet). The gym is well equipped. The rooms are big and clean, although a little bit outdated. What I liked the most, is the kind and helpful staff in this hotel. Would love to come back!
Over the top service. Friendly and personal. Excellent amenities. Very good gym with trainers. Nice pool, steam room and sauna. Jacuzzi was not working the two weeks I was here. Nice little beach area. Good restaurants. Only drawback is it’s a bit pricey overall.
Was here on a business visit for 3 nights. Checkin was perfect as we got the room much before the standard checkin time. Room was in the renovated wing and well appointed. In the night couldn’t sleep good. The room was an adjoining one with just a non soundproof door in between. Needless to say, the TV in the next room was just too loud. Didn’t bother to call the reception but the next day the same issue. Here’s the best part; on calling the reception they said no worries and within 5-7 minutes a new room was provided and a bell boy was even sent to help in the shifting! Great and efficient service indeed. Used room service for dinner once and then the buffet breakfast for the 3 days. Food is certainly good and well presented. I surely will be back.
