I've been visiting the Jubail Intercontinental for more than 25 years. It's the premier hotel in the area and offers a good staying experience with good rooms, excellent service and good food. There's a private beach that offers a variable rate of freedom. I particularly enjoy the Tex-Mex restaurant, and I used to enjoy the perfectly prepared Douwe Egberts coffee which is no longer served. Wi-fi coverage and speed are poor. Nearby, there are some nice beaches and corniches including Nakheel and Fanateer and a couple small malls. Everything in the area is over-priced, including the hotel. The area is developed by the Royal Commission and has its own unique atmosphere.
The staff at the hotel are what makes this a wonderful, "home from home" stay. I regularly stay here on business and am always greatly impressed by the high standards across all aspects, but of particular note are the hotel's staff who are absolutely superb. The quality of the food is exemplary and the steaks in the Ranch Tex Mex Restaurant are as good as any high end steak restaurant when I lived in the USA of six years.
I had a wonderful experience at the Intercontental Al Jubail - the staff took such good care of me, especially the pasta chef at the lunch buffet! The beach area is gorgeous, and the property is very well taken care of and relaxed. I would recommend this hotel to everyone.
I like staying at this hotel. Pretty expensive, but since company supported, we managed to stay here. We were there for 3 weeks. The service is definately up to level. 1) Great laundry service 2) The rooms were nice in size and had a desk available. (There is a bit lack of fresh air, but that is due to the temperatures I would say) 3) Wifi was not the best, but we did used the free option... 4) You can walk outside 5) Staff is very helpfull. We were suggested to pay a 1 time fee which would give us free breakfast for the duration of our stay and we would be boosted up to Ambassador level. 6) The food in the restaurants are amazing; I truly love the Mexican restaurant, but the Lebanese mezze-offers are amazing as well. Room service is available. The buffet is a little over priced for my taste, but offers excellent quality of fish. The gym facilities (to train of that food) are of excellent quality as well. Would recommend this hotel, when in the neighbourhood!
I am a regular gust and visitor of InterContinital Al Jubail and during this stay my family and I were warmly greeted, given an exceptional room upgrade and Club Access and we much appreciate this. I can tell the quality of service has increased and staff at the property smile and would be happy to provide services, the Ranch (Mexican) restaurant's manager and staff should smile when greeting guests. Thank you to Waleed, Hamaad and front office manager. Suggestion: - Adding Healthy/Organic food items more variety of salads would enhance the restaurants menus/Buffet. - InterContinotal already has a big beautiful beach backyard and opening Kids Club and big Gym and Full Spa facilities make the property stands out.
When its 40+ degrees, 100% humidity going outside is the last thing you want - luckily the hotel is huge, well air conditioned, very comfortable rooms and great facilities that mean you can spend some long stints here and it has plenty to keep you entertained, fed and exercised (Surprisingly large Gym). If you happen to visit in winter when you can breath outside then the nearby beach is also a really nice feature. If you are staying the the Jubail area in my view this is the best place to setup basecamp - this area is 99% corporate travel territory and for that purpose this place is spot on.
This is my third stay at the hotel The hotel seems to be undergoing a re fit which is needed to bring in line with the brand globally The hotel sorted my collection from the hotel and driver for my meetings in the area and the drivers were punctual and efficient so I would recommend this service. Breakfast is nice with lots to choose from. Lunch is a buffet and again you get a decent choice although very expensive as most people in the hotel are on business. My room is clean and comfortable and I will stay in the hotel again in November so I am looking forward to seeing the upgraded rooms and facilities.
I stayed for three days for business purposes. The rooms are quite confortable, wifi works perfect and they are very clean. The quality and variety of the restaurant is outstanding in all breakfast, lunch and dinner. Sea food buffet on wednesday night was amazing! Stuff are very friendly and looking after every detail making the experience really good in overall. There was only one thing that I didn't like: the second day I arrived to my room at 15:30 and it was not ready yet... stuff came around 4 to clean the room, which was very inconvenient as I was working in the room, so would be great if all cleaning activities can happen in the morning. For the rest, it was a fantastic choice.
It was a great experience. The staff was nice, friendly and the service was as I expected There is a diving center, water-sports and sea trips. Kids can enjoy kids area on beach. Also there is golf course.
+ Many facilities inside the hotel ( Football , Tennis , trampoline inside the sea ). + Green Areas. + The hotel is in a quite area , its location is near to many shops and restaurants. + Excellent control & organization of the team of the breakfast. - The Beach is far from the rooms ( 7 minutes walking ). - The price of the open buffet is more than other restaurants which are of the same level (205 SAR / person). - The mini golf field is not supported with lights, so it can't be used at night.
- Free WiFi in rooms and public areas
- Free valet and self parking
- Onsite dining
- Private beach
