I stayed here again after one year pause. It was and still is an excellent choice - simply a real 5 star hotel. It's not cheap but given the quality and service it is fair. Selfspeaking that breakfast is excellent too. Fitness facilities, pool and outside area are at the same 5star level. The onyl point I would adress is the noise of the air conditioning in the room. It is relatively noisy but given the outside temperatures (was around 30-40°C during my stay) it must of course run at a certain load . Overall a clear and unlimited rfecommendation.
Very cordial welcome at check in. Women at the reception an indication of the new Saudi Arabia. There was some confusion on the booking - a first for me at any IHG hotel. Anyways got sorted out quickly and had a good room. Very comfortable sleep They have a good gym. Hope the ladies gym reopens quick so that the mens gym will be available through the day/evening. Very good lentil soup and pizza for dinner. They even listed camel meat burger on the menu. Ofcourse me being vegetarian meant I did not get to try any of the various meat options. Definitely worth staying if you have work in Jubail.
Rooms are poorly soundproofed you can hear everything above you, next door and in the hallways. The doors close noisily so you will be woken frequently as guests enter and exit in the morning and evening- this goes on until really late and starts very early. Food- main restaurant for breakfast is ok and food edible. Poor choice, Fruit is tinned... Dinner - would recommend going out as the options are pretty dismal. Khobar intercon restaurant is far better. The only saving grace is the staff, very helpful and friendly but they are dealing with a poor product that needs investment. People are paying for a good night sleep which is a basic requirement when staying overnight in a hotel - not to be kept awake by every noise other guests are making.
Clean rooms, attentive staff, respond well to any problems. Very nice gym and facilities. Park and beach club a short walk away. Good value room service, although the buffet for dinner could do with improvement. Overall, very comfortable
This hotel is part of the Intercontinental branch and it really deserves this status. The food is perfect, tasty and lots to choose from (lunch buffet). The gym is well equipped. The rooms are big and clean, although a little bit outdated. What I liked the most, is the kind and helpful staff in this hotel. Would love to come back!
Over the top service. Friendly and personal. Excellent amenities. Very good gym with trainers. Nice pool, steam room and sauna. Jacuzzi was not working the two weeks I was here. Nice little beach area. Good restaurants. Only drawback is it’s a bit pricey overall.
Was here on a business visit for 3 nights. Checkin was perfect as we got the room much before the standard checkin time. Room was in the renovated wing and well appointed. In the night couldn’t sleep good. The room was an adjoining one with just a non soundproof door in between. Needless to say, the TV in the next room was just too loud. Didn’t bother to call the reception but the next day the same issue. Here’s the best part; on calling the reception they said no worries and within 5-7 minutes a new room was provided and a bell boy was even sent to help in the shifting! Great and efficient service indeed. Used room service for dinner once and then the buffet breakfast for the 3 days. Food is certainly good and well presented. I surely will be back.
My visit to Jubail was for business which left little time for exploring the hotel amenities or the area around it. Although, I did look out the window at the view and found it to be disappointing. I believe I saw a bit of water in the distance, and some my team members did assure me that a short walk was all it took to find it! However, the hotel itself was very pleasant and offered everything that my team and I needed. I enjoyed the space afforded in a suite; I actually found the bathroom off the sitting room area had a walk-in shower, which is my preference! My room was serviced well; I noticed accountability in place as an assurance. Most of my meals were at the buffet restaurant due to my schedule, options for breakfast and dinner were varied and tasty. I did try the Ranch Tex-Mex Restaurant on my last night and found the food excellent and plentiful! I used the conference room for several days and found the room to be well equipped and the area surrounding the room quiet. Wifi was not a problem anywhere within the hotel. I found the hotel personnel to be very accommodating and friendly, as well!
The Intercontinental Hotel in Al-Jubail serves an industrial area in Saudi Arabia, and even calls itself a "business hotel" but it is an international-class hotel with every amenity and a staff that is next to none in service. I stayed here for almost two weeks on an assignment and felt that I was in an international resort. The hotel has its own private beach set in a park, a huge fitness facility, steam room, hot tub, sauna outdoor pool with separate equal facilities for men and women. There are four superb restaurants. The rooms are a bit small, but they have every possible amenity for a comfortable stay, including a large shower with a rain-shower head in the ceiling, robes and a bathroom scale as well as a full set of cosmetics, luxurious towels and ultra-comfortable beds. I could not have asked for more. The staff was superbly trained, polite and dedicated to guest comfort. Al-Jubail is not a tourist mecca, but anyone coming to this part of Saudi Arabia would feel utterly pampered staying here. I will write a separate review for the A-Tuwayah buffet restaurant. Suffice it to say that this restaurant provides the most sumptuous spread I have ever seen. Breakfast is a dizzying array of Middle East, Indian and far-eastern cuisine as well as all Western standard offerings. This is definitely one of the best hotels in which I have ever stayed outside of a full-scale vacation resort.
I have stayed here for months at a time. The rooms are clean and spacious. The food is excellent in all areas. The staff are always polite and friendly. In particular, I would like to mention the following as giving outstanding, friendly and polite service: In the main restaurant: Noni (my stand in mother), Navid, Abdel Aziz, Yul and Ric. In the Ranch restaurant: Jamshed and Chirunjibi. Room service - Jasin. There are many more staff who deserve a mention but the list would never stop. I recommend anyone coming to Jubail to stay here.
