Serene and cozy beachfront villa on a white sandy beach, AC and WiFi!

As you enter the property from the private gated garden area to the rear, you are greeted with a open floor plan living, dining, and kitchen looking straight out to the beach and ocean via an entire wall of full length sliding glass doors. This room allows fantastic views of the Caribbean sea. The living room is comfortably furnished and features a large flat screen TV with Satellite and DVD, plus stereo. There is dining space for 8 people with ocean views and a nice fully equipped kitchen with granite counter tops.

Also on the ground floor, there is a guest bedroom furnished with 2 single beds and adjoining guest bathroom. There are sliding doors leading straight out from this bedroom onto the private terrace and beach beyond.

Upstairs there are 2 bedrooms with king sized beds, plenty of closet space, nicely finished en suite bathrooms (ocean views from the shower!), and front and back terraces to give you both ocean and jungle views. There are sliding doors leading out to the ocean side terrace where you can relax on the cushioned seating and enjoy the view. This is also a lovely place to relax and watch the millions of stars in the Caribbean night sky.

In front of the villa is a shaded terrace, and a large private area of beach leading down towards the water. There are plenty of sun loungers, a shade palapa with sunken seating, and also a large outdoor dining table with seating for 8. Great for alfresco meals and beachfront cookouts!

To the rear of the villa, Serenity has ample off-street parking, as well as a shared swimming pool. The pool is occasionally used by the owner, who sometimes stays in the duplex next door, for a quick swim in the morning.

Villa Serenity is also a short walk from the new Riviera Maya Golf Course. Riviera Maya Golf Club is one of the most exciting golf courses here in the Riviera Maya. Spanning 223 acres and set within 717 acres of tropical rainforest, this course was designed by Robert Trent Jones II.

If you are looking for a beachfront vacation that is easy, comfortable, and relaxing then this is the perfect house for you! Villa Serenity is a wonderful choice for both families and friends.

This may have been an amazing property 25 years ago, but now for sure showing a lack of maintenance and up keep. Rusted out or broken ceiling fans no washer/dryer for a house that holds 6 adults. A kitchen with only a toaster oven. (But, please note that Rita the housekeeper was amazing and the home was cleaned every day with fresh towels and linens.)Please note that the “private” pool is shared by the 4 villas, and we had to move lounge chairs from the beach to the pool as there was no where to sit. If you are not comfortable renting a car, then this for sure is not a property for you. All properties in Mexico have some sort of security, but this was our first experience having a guard sit on our beach chairs from sunset to sunrise.Was staying on the beach amazing, it was, but it was no where near the an offset to what we expected for a 2700 one week stay. This last comment is not about the property, but something that all travelers considering the Quinta Roo area (Cancun and south) is Sargassum aka very tiny seaweeds that ends up in huge piles on the beach that rots and skinks like garbage on a hot from April to October. We had to deal with it in Playa del Carmen in June 2024 and this trip as well. It complete covers the coast line and there is no escaping the smell.

Relaxing vacation

Lovely staff and owners. Sargassum was a disappointment but you can’t predict that. Little ants wanted to be in food so put everything in containers! Beds were comfortable, pool adequate. View was outstanding. Secure and safe.

Beautiful despite all the sargassum

My kids first time out of the country! It’s a beautiful place! So happy we booked a place ON the beach! Unfortunately the seaweed was extremely bad!! There was no way to enjoy the beach at all & the smell was strong-couldn’t stand to have the windows open to enjoy the ocean waves. Pool is shared.There wasn’t really any instructions provided on checkin/checkout procedures like I have had at other rentals. We weren’t aware the AC had a ‘remote’ to control the settings. So the first night it was humid! I contacted the property manager and they came to look at our AC. We got it working on our own & then later realized you needed to POINT the remote at the AC unit. I think this was just a communication issue (& me being ignorant to this type of AC.Our groceries we had preordered to be at our rental didn’t arrive until after we were already there. I thought they would be there when we arrived but I had assumed & didn’t ask directly when I had ordered. We ended up walking over to the Beach Bikini Bar & ate. Very good food! It seemed like there was only 1 waitress/bartender working it & she was kind. My family & I had arranged to rent paddle boards-thankful I cancelled once I saw the seaweed. It would have been nice to have known about the seaweed & not be sold on.We had a great time with non-beach activities: private fishing, Akumal Natura Rescue, PRIVATE tour: ruins, turtles & cenote; eating in Akumal. Best food ever! Way better than Bahai Príncipe resort food!

Comfy Home, Right on the Beach!

Our family (my husband & I with our 3 teens) don’t a week in Akumal in July 2024 and loved it! We’d definitely return to this home and to Akumal. Pros: Good ac - cold and all over the home Books available - nice touch, my son read 3 that were provided Towels/linens - luxurious & plentiful Showers - roomy with great water pressure Purified water available Ely & Rita - made the stay so comfortable by keeping both indoors and outdoors clean and comfortable Big dining table - sat all five of us no problem Closets - roomy Beach/patio seating - plenty of seating at the table, on the patio and on the beach!

Fantastic house and location

We’ve stayed in multiple homes in this small stretch of Akumal and this property is one of the best! Great experience in every way, from check in to daily interaction with the housekeeper, security, the beach, etc. We loved our time here and 100% recommend the property to anyone seeking to escape to a quiet little piece of paradise.

Awesome place

Wonderful week on the beach

Villa serenity for our family of 6 perfectly. Private beach with life jackets, sand toys, and kayaks. Rita was so helpful in housekeeping and made us a delicious meal. Alejandro was available via text to answer questions and was a great resource for answering questions and booking excursions. Wonderful place by the ocean, yet away from the big resort feel.

Family getaway

We had a wonderful stay at this property. The house is beautiful and well maintained. Rita came every day and cleaned and made sure everything was in its place. The house always smelled so good when we would come back after enjoying our vacay out and about. She even cooked two meals for us that were very good! Eddie the grounds keeper was very attentive and so pleasant. He would help us out when we needed transportation to town. He does a nice job keeping the grounds maintained and raked the sand in front it the house every day. We were greatful that we stayed here and enjoyed walking the beach. The Beached Bikini was an added bonus a few doors down which is a fun bar and grill with great cocktails. We spent a day at the all inclusive resort Bahia Principe and a sunset cruise in Akumal. Thank you to our concierge David for being so attentive to our questions and helping us make decisions for the activities we wanted to take part of. All in all I give this place a 10/10 and we will be back! The sargasso seaweed was a drag but we didn’t let it wreck our trip! The pool is also a plus when we got hot and didn’t want to jump in the ocean. The neighbors next door were so kind and sweet.

Best beach vacation spot

Right on the beach a few meters from the water's edge. A uniquely beautiful modern villa with all conveniences in a really safe environment. Private parking inside a secured courtyard with a supplied automatic gate opener was great. The pool is perfect. Hot water for showers from what I assume was solar powered heaters on roof was available day and night. Raymond, our security guard, was there every evening and overnight to give us that sense of safety was appreciated. Ely was there every morning when we awoke cleaning and raking the white sand on our beach. Rita was there every day as well washing our dishes and keeping our rooms spotless every day as well. I can't say how much we appreciated the local staff making our stay a perfect one. The biggest and best surprise were the turtle nests clearly marked by the protective devices on "our beach" one of which was only 2 meters from our patio. On our third evening Raymond interrupted our chat on the patio with news that a hundred baby turtles from a nearby nest had hatched and the babies were headed the wrong way towards the lights between our villa and the one next door. He needed our help to direct them the other way around so they could head for the sea. My daughter grabbed a large plastic bowl filled with a little sand and we scooped up some of the babies that were trying to climb the wall and door to the pool area. She ran down to the water's edge and released the tiny turtles a couple meters from the waves on the beach. Now they knew which way to go on their own and they all flipped and flopped toward the waves. Meanwhile a local racoon type creature that had been hanging around the beach at night tried to attack some of the babies that had headed away from the water and my son and son-in-law shooed him away before he killed some of the baby turtles. The rare experience of having been present when the sea turtles hatched and made their way out to sea was something we all will cherish for our entire lives. Akumal is more or less halfway between Tulum and Playa del Carmen and is the perfect location to base your touring of Mayan ruins and Canotes from. We spent one afternoon on a floating and snorkeling tour of an underground river cave system called Cenotes Sac Actún, It was only a short drive away and was spectacular. We highly recommend this property as your next beach vacation spot!

Amazing!!!

Great house in a great location. Super private gated home with private security, daily cleaning, and on site maintenance. The house was big and spacious with amazing views of the private beach that leads you to the ocean. There is a pool onsite that was just for our use as well which made it that much more special. The house was fully stocked with everything you’d need. The location is about 20 to 30 minutes away from DT Playa del Carmen, or Tulum. If you’re looking for a lot to do I’d stay somewhere else, but if your looking to relax…this is the perfect place!

Beautiful Beach

We enjoyed this place tremendously! Our concierge David was great! We had some delays in flights and he accommodated our changes. The beach was beautiful! We never left our area except to go to the Beached Bikini bar within walking distance. So relaxing! Will definitely be back!

Beautiful Sanctuary

Property as represented on listing. Can't beat the location and beautiful beach. Great swimming and snorkeling right out your back door. If you are looking for a comfortable, relaxing vacation, this is it. Staff was very helpful and kept the property stocked and clean. Internet was surprisingly fast and reliable the week we were there. We did not rent a car, but if you had your own car, the setup is great with excellent parking inside a secure gate. I would not hesitate to stay here again.

Overall the house was excellent, the cleaning and maintenance was excellent. The neighborhood is quiet and clean. The pool is shared with other houses, but wasn’t a problem. I would stay here again

Wonderful vacation spot

Everything shown in the photographs is accurate: it is clean, spacious, and, most importantly, directly on the beach, which is virtually private. Even though the temperatures were in the 70s and 80s (upper 20s to lower 30s Celsius), there is a constant breeze that cools the air such that an air conditioner is not needed at night. There is a daily maid service (needed because of the sand), gardener, and a friendly security guard. We stayed for four days; it was not enough!!

Great Get Away

This is a fantastic property in a secluded spot. Although neighbors are close the beach is not crowded. We enjoyed the private spot along the beach. The pool is nice, but certainly not as private as the neighbors are close. The house is well equipped and has a great view from every room. It is appropriately sized for 4-6 guests. There is a bar, The Beached Bikini that is close and also a beach club Kay that has good food and breakfast. There is also a grocery delivery service from PDC that was reasonable and had good service. Our house manager and housekeeper were awesome. We had the water go out and Eli had it fixed quickly. He was also great at getting us cabs and offering other info. The reservations were easy and they communicated well and offered advice on excursions. This is a hidden gem, a little off the beaten path and secluded, which was exactly what we were looking for. We will be back and would recommend.

Amazing property and location!

LOVED our stay over the New Year at Villa Serenity. Gorgeous house, beach and the perfect amount of privacy. We walked to the bikini beach bar just a couple houses down almost daily. Great food and margs! Loved this house, the view and the water and highly recommend!
