Perfect location & beautiful homey condo

This well equipped condo was just what we needed. We had to move from a condo that was not as advertised and find something else. The property manager was quick to respond. Wish we would have just picked this one to start with. Hoping to come back next year so we have more time to enjoy the area.

We had a wonderful time staying at this unit in La Sirena. This is our 3rd time to Akumal and this property fit our needs perfectly. Everything is very well maintained and the pool is great. From the unit, the access to the beach, stunning view of the ocean, and walkability to Yal-Ku and restaurants was unbeatable. We had a minor emergency on the first day (got locked out of the safe) but the host and on-site manager were very quick and helpful in their response. We will certainly be looking to book again the next time we come!

Just what we had expected!

The property once you get through the “interesting” entrance was beautiful. Lush gardens surrounding a lovely pool made for relaxing afternoons. The beach out front was rocky but navigable on foot. The location of the property is free of the sargassum weed that is prevalent along the shorelines of Akumal. We had an enjoyable stay.

Great quality stay.

This condo at La Sirena is very, very good. This is our third time in Akumal, and I can say the property is several notches above its competition. The location is outstanding: away from the seaweed, and close to Yalku (the lagoon); and still not far away from the center of town, restaurants, bars, etc. Perfect for renting a bicycle and getting around that way! Communication with the owner was outstanding; super fast and responsive. The check-in process was easy and worked well, as well as the check-out. The condo, upon arrival, was immaculate and beautifully appointed. And it remained that way, thanks to the hard-working cleaning personnel who came every day but Sunday to give it a once-over. The size of the condo is perfect for two couples, and there is plenty of room for hanging out, having meals together, or simply lounging around reading a book and enjoying the ocean front view. The bedrooms, beds, and bathrooms were plenty big and the water pressure was good. We used the outside facilities just as much as the condo itself; the outside was also kept immaculate at all times of the day. The open air courtyard and the building's swimming pool were inviting, and so, so much better than any other property around. Thank you so much. We will be back!

Another few days in paradise

This is the 2nd time we (2 couples) have stayed in this unit and it was again perfect. Right on the bay, very laid back and low key. Lots to do nearby via car if you wish, or you can just hang out under the palapa as we did most of the time. Would definitely recommend and hope to return.

We loved the condo. Great outdoor space fronting the bay, lovely pool in the condo complex, very communicative and helpful owner. Would absolutely come back. Snorkeling in the bay was a highlight.

Amazing and Quiet Place

Such a great stay, thanks so much. Just as pictured. Loved the location, it was quiet and away from the crowds. The beach was right outside of the door. If we visit the area again we will look here first.

Akumal in Jan 2022

We spent 5 nights at La Sirena #4 in January and had a wonderful time. We could walk out the back patio to a beach and into the water. It was very relaxing in a quiet area with a great restaurant about a quarter of a mile away. Easy to drive to Tulum, Playa or other areas but we really spent all of our time at La Sirena. Very clean, all the staff wore masks inside and out and easy to distance from others. Great option for a very chill vacation

Pretty but old

Expected a much nicer property! First impression was not impressed at all… was kinda sketchy looking. Property is located right behind a building that is not up-kept… so look past the sketchy outer look. First impressions past the main building was very tranquil with foliage everywhere that makes you feel secluded in your own backyard. The main condo units are very old and rundown. Property itself was maintained well from debris and overgrowth. Walkways are super hard to get luggage to your front door due to everything was pavers or steps. Pool was nice but small. Only 2 lounge chairs in the very back- we were also not a fan of pool not having ocean view so you could cool Off while lounging on the beach front. Our unit- it was very cluttered and old. The view was amazing but you could only see the view from the very small and uncomfortable built in couches. If you wanted to watch any tv the wood furniture is not comfortable nor could you sit with your spouse! We had issues with a ton of ants everywhere- they got in our food so i had to put it all in the refrigerator so it was safe. Lost about $40 worth of food. They were a ton of bug throughout the property that were always getting on you. I will say the master bed was super comfortable so at least i got a good night sleep…. But you cant relax and watch anything before bed because the tv is in the wierd living room setup. Cleaning lady came daily, im not a fan of that but it makes since because you have to throw your toilet paper in the trash, not the toilet. Thats was Kinda overwhelming! The snorkeling off the back porch is great and super safe for all ages- thats was the best part! All in all, we come to Mexico 2 times a year and like to try new places. This place looked like they don’t really care to upkeep the unit and/or main building but keep the surface clean to make it look nicer. This will be a condo we will not return too.

A Lovely Condo

This first floor condo was ideal for us. It was very comfortable, with a large bdrm and master bath. AC worked well when we wanted it, but there was a fantastic breeze off the ocean so we mostluy kept the windows and doors open. The covered porch was ideal for breakfast in the breeze. Jaclyn responded isntantly to questions and requests. There is 24 on-site staff in the building, and the kitchen was well stocked with equipment and staples. Internet was excellent. La Serena has a lovely pool in a tranquil garden setting as well. Akumal is not what it once was. Akumal beach has been totally taken over by tour companies who officially control entry into the water. Half moon bay in contrast was lovely and private. The seaweed was mostly under control while we were there, but the water was rougher than we remember so snorkeling was more challenging than we would have liked. We are good swimmers with powerful fins, but the currents were often too strong to stay in one place for more than a moment. The condo is walking distance to Yul-Kul lagoon, which remains lovely despite the endless tour groups of inexperienced snorkelers. The two restaurants open on Half Moon Bar -- La Luna and La Buena Vida -- are in walking distance and delightful for ocean side meals.

WONDERFUL experience all the way around!!!!!

From the sweet town, to the location of this condo, to the safety, it was all wonderful! This condo and it's amenities were fantastic! You walked such a short distance to sit near or get into the water. The condo was cleaned daily (including washing the dishes, which is big for parents that want to also be on vacation but not have to do chores), filtered water, toilet paper & paper towels replenished daily. If there was any issue or question at all the property managers were all over it. They responded immediately and were a wealth of information. They arranged for a doctor to come and give us covid tests - - super easy. If you want to rent bikes or snorkel equipment you may there. They responded immediately and were a wealth of information. I rented a car but I would say it is not necessary at all. This location was far enough away from the little village but not too far. You are also able to rent a golf cart or pay $5 for a ride to and from the village. You could walk to several beach restaurants. A pleasant surprise as a foodie was the restaurants in town are upscale for the size of the town. The pool is situated behind the building which keeps any noise in the back so you may read & sun bath in tranquility. I would highly recommend this area, this condo complex management and the condo itself! We and our extended family are DEFINITELY going back!

Picture perfect in every way!

By husband and two friends stayed here for 12 days in November/December and could not have been more satisfied with this condo. The view was amazing, condo as beautiful as the photos and the staff was always there willing to help. The area was safe and quiet and we loved that it was close to the lagoon for snorkeling. Access in and out of the water in front of the condo can be tricky so make sure to bring water shoes to traverse the rocks. We would absolutely stay here again when in Akumal!

Incredible Oceanfront View

My wife and I stayed for two days during quarantine and can't wait to return. Absolutely gorgeous view in an extremely private area. While staying, the wifi went down temporarily but upon notifying Jaclyn - someone was there to fix it immediately. The house next door was having a party the first night so it was a little loud but didn't bother us in any way. Can't wait to visit again!

Beautiful Akumal stay

This condo had everything you could need. The pictures accurately show the great location and proximity to the water. We got a very prompt response when we had a question about check in. Very close to Yal Ku Lagoon and there are a few restaurants close by with many more in Akumal beach area ( about 2k). Overall great place to stay, for me personally the decor was over the top, but again Everything you could want to enjoy your stay in Akumal.

A Bit of Heaven

I felt at home right away. It is beautiful, peaceful and quiet. I felt safe and thrilled to have the ocean right outside the door. It’s sweet sitting in the living room watching and listening to the waves and being lulled to sleep by the sounds of the sea. It’s easy to walk to town and to restaurants so no need for a car. The bed is super comfy which I appreciate. The kitchen has everything I needed to make meals and overall, I have only positive things to say. Jaclyn came by to make sure everything was okay and it was a treat to meet her. I highly recommend this place. I am sad to go.
