Our room could have used a little bit more tidying but the staff are what made our stay so great. The entertainment staff and bartenders really made an effort to make our time enjoyable, fun, and feel like home. Librado, Julio, and Rodrigo were incredibly friendly and always put a smile on our faces. They are so so sweet. The entertainment staff, including Carlos, Giampaolo, Alejandro, Claudia, Job, and Xim were all so amazing. Besides having a great time at the resort, we made so many friends. Each and every staff member made our stay amazing - Bahía Príncipe Tulum truly wouldn’t be the same without all of the staff.

This was our second time staying and it was amazing. The staff are truly what makes the trip so enjoyable. All the bartenders were kind and attentive, especially our favourites Librado & Rodrigo. The entertainment team at the main pool made sure everyone was having fun and felt like home, especially Carlos, Claudia, & Gianpaulo.

Room was ok. Pull out bed wasn’t great. Was hoping for two beds but got a king and pull out couch which really wasn’t comfortable at all. Issues upon check in. Delay of 60 minutes cause the room wasn’t ready (this was after the 3pm check in time). Initial room we had smelled like nail polish remover. Had to be moved. They extended our check our as good will. Couldn’t get any a la Carte’s we wanted. Buffet was Ok. It was a good stay, not great, but good For the money spent, I expected a little better. If ever back in the area I’d probably try another resort before going back here with the issues we encountered.

Overall the resort is good. My biggest issue was the room - very old, loose outlets, no drawers, zero bathroom counter space. I paid to upgrade and was upset i paid extra for that room, although by upgrading i got a better location close to buffet/pool/lobby etc. I personally really enjoyed the food, as a vegetarian i always had something. I never had to use salt /pepper, everything had good flavor. However it IS repetitive, but for me it wasn’t an issue. If you are a food snob you might not be happy but i liked it. Biggest complaint is half the food isn’t labeled or labeled incorrectly, which is difficult for someone with dietary restrictions. Also for some reason they don’t give you spoons for the soup, you always have to ask your server for one. I liked the entertainment - the magic show was great. I liked the hacienda area with the shops and the stage. I also really enjoyed the wildlife on property! The beach was nice /relaxing but there was lot of seaweed so i never went in the water. Also no waiter service on the beach. Didn’t do the Mexican fiesta cuz it was extra cost. A few nights it was lively on property and in the dinner buffet, other nights felt very quiet and dead. I booked tours through the amstar desk on property. The 3 cenotes tour and xplor were great, don’t do the ATV to Cenote tour (2 hrs) that leaves from the property, you only get 25 min at the Cenote. We did don pablo at tulum and japanese/peruvian fusion at tequila for restaurants, both were great

Staff was great, and the grounds were beautiful, however we were upcharged 100 usd to stay in a “newly renovated room”, but the definition of what newly renovated is didn’t match the expectation. Room was nice, however the furniture and the fixtures (ceiling fan) were rusty and dated and the water temperatures during the shower would swing between hot and cold constantly. Food overall was ok. Beaches while we were there had a lot of seaweed, but workers are actively cleaning it. Suggest bringing water shoes as some parts of the beach are more rocky in nature. Also lots of wildlife on property if you enjoy the sort of thing.
