My wife and I had a WONDERFUL five- night stay! We work very hard and needed some serious R&R. We didn't want the crowds and hustle and bustle that is found on the other side of Boracay. The beautiful views from the European style villas were exactly what we wanted. I sat out on the spacious balcony each morning, read, had a cup of tea, listen to the surf and waited for the sun to rise. Perfect! The entire staff was extremely friendly and helpful, and after five days, we had almost become like family and were a bit sad to leave. I even got a picture of the restaurant staff on our last morning, and they got their phones out and took a few group pics of us as well. In addition the architecture and setting are absolutely gorgeous! Many afternoons we just relaxed by or in the the pool and sipped on drinks, read, napped, and just let the day slip away. After 8 months our crazy busy schedules, it was exactly what we needed. It was never crowded, and we often felt like we had our own private estate. The one drawback is the beach. It allows you access to the ocean, and at low tide, if you are adventurous, you can do some exploring of the tide pools as you walk along the coastline. But if you want wide, white, sandy beaches, with all the activities that go along with them, you need to travel a bit to other parts of the island. My wife and I travel a lot and have vacationed in many parts of the globe, yet we feel that our vacation at Boracay and Monaco Suites was one of our best!
Stayed 2 Nights here and 2 Nights at Hennan Resort and Spa (also put review there for them) I reserved 2 different rooms the smaller and the larger one at Monaco suites Postives for Monaco Suites: Rooms are great, Extremely large and with balcony that you can see the ocean from. Hot water and water pressure was amazing! Loved the shower. The room has a full kitchen with all amenities so you can cook and store any items in the refrigerator. (Very nice for Families).. People at the hotel were very helpful and a convenient shuttle that departs every hour to the dmall (*main beach area) take approximately 10-15 minutes to get there. Hotel very quiet and class of guests are families and couples. Pool is nice size and has a Jacuzzi very close to it, private beach area also just steps away. The views and rooms really set this apart from the other hotel I stayed at. I also enjoyed the quiet and being away from the craziness of main beach area. Breakfast is very nice and the area where you eat over looks the ocean, great location for views. Negatives: Its 15 minutes away from the Dmall.. Don't buy any packages for activities at the HOTEL, they are way over priced! find a local and negotiate pricing (each event shouldn't cost you more than 600-750 pesos per person. (I did parasailing, Zipline/Cart event, and Helmet diving).. the hotel area is very large and walking is needed up and down (However you can request someone to come get you on a golf cart, if you lazy). They have a private grocery store onsite, (a bit over priced, and not a lot of options) Suggest they upgrade the inside and make if feel more welcome. However, do your shopping in Dmall and bring it back to your room. If I were to return to Boracay, I would stay here again! Also, pay the extra money for the bigger suite (Better view of the Ocean, on the balcony) Loved my stay here, and well worth the extra time and money to stay here Hope this helps (Was my first time to boracay)
Loved this hotel & staff, we were treated like royalty the moment we checked in, friendly staff and my kids enjoyed it so much they asked to move in... totally recommend and you wouldn't be disappointed... awesome view and well worth your money .. love love loved it
Walking away from the white beach of boracay to explore other side of an island, unlimited captures with the amazing view was enjoyed by my friends in the resort premises but they didnt allowed us to try thier dolphin shape pool,we feed our hungry stomach by a perfect boodle fight that amazed also in the eye of my friends. Hoping to be in resort again soon and allow us to try your pool..
The Monaco Suites de Boracay is not located by the white beaches and the "Stations," however, don't let that dissuade you, where they are located is peaceful, quiet and serene. You can easily take a quick shuttle to the more "exciting" side of the island and that's exactly what we did. We loved how clean the resort was, our room was lovely and we enjoyed the pool and our views. I highly recommend this for people who don't want to be near the "party" the entire time they are in Boracay. My only negative, was the food was only okay, that's why it didn't get 5 stars.
We had a lovely stay but feel the place is way too expensive for what it is. Slightly old fashioned but clean enough. It is ideal for someone who enjoys private times. We just found it is not the most conveniently located. However the service was ace and food very nice.
Just stayed at Monaco Suites for six nights. First of all, there is s wonderful view from the balcony of the hotel room, overlooking the ocean. The staff is very friendly and attentive and the food in the restaurant is ok. However, while the view is wonderful, the location is very remote. Moreover, the hotel is facing north, so not much sun on the otherwise nice balcony of the hotel room,- and the Beach there is literally a 5 meters long strip of sand, that is of no use. So, if you want to tan on a beach, walk along the beach or party on the beach you have to take a shuttle bus to White Beach (15 minutes drive), which only go back and forth every hour. This make you feel very confined. The hotel rooms are big and spacious, but everything appears a little old'ish and tired. So nice view, very nice staff, but only go there if you want to relax and do absolutely nothing.
Had so much fun in Boracay and staying here just added perfectly to my experiences. Amazing views from the rooms and the infinity pools. Inside the rooms also very nice and modern. They offer a free shuttle every hour to the main area of Boracay so it wasn't a problem with trying to get transport to and from the resort. Only thing that I would say needs improving is the service around the pool area in terms of food and drinks. You have to go ask staff if you want anything, but that is only a very minor thing. *Would go back and highly recommend*
I was a bit underwhelmed looking at the pictures of the hotel because as stated in so many other reviews the rooms were very outdated but with our last minute booking we didn't have much of a choice since we were looking for a place to stay for almost 2 weeks during the holidays. As soon as we walked into our room it felt like we went back in time! Man their furnishings were so outdated lol! But honestly after a few days the place started to feel like home. Without all the modern decor and cold features it really felt like we were in our own apartment or something. Especially since I was doing a lot of cooking in the fully functional kitchen, I really loved it and they are ready to equip you with whatever you need to make a full meal. I was making steaks, salads, pasta etc. Anyways aside from an old inside the view from our room was absolutely timeless. Beautiful, even on rainy days. The pool is a nice enough size to do laps and beach is small but private but could use someone going around and picking up a bit to keep the sand clean, I found broken glass!! The staff were great, always friendly and smiling. And the chef, kudos! Amazing food! Well the filipino food was on point!! You can tell the chef knows what he/she is doing with local ingredients. If you order off their menu get filipino food!! I would recommend this place if your feeling nostalgic!
One of the best places to relax. 1.Views un-paralleled. Facilities top notch. 2.Two Negative things Only--jacuzzi should be warm. It's freezing and the place is windy. 3. Some staff might benefit from cultural training. Even pple of color don't appreciate finding staff peeping round the corner or straight up staring all the time. Maybe watch more good movies of people of color to become desensitized. I Actually understood some words and they should not assume no one understands their comments just bec they are of color. I travel to atleast 3 different countries a year. I gave 4 just for annoying staring staff. But otherwise it's a true 5star hotel Would I go back ofcourse yes.
