Cannot say enough about this boutique hotel in the heart of a charming city. We chose it as the base for a visit to our daughter studying at one of the universities in the city. Antoine is the consummate concierge. Attentive, knowledgeable and funny. Our room was spacious and overlooked a neighboring garden plot. The spa was a welcome break after a long-day of hiking or walking around Provence. The hotel is a two-minute from the city's main gathering spot and the restaurant/bar district.

I have say, I was so impressed with our stay at Maison d’Aix hotel. I have travelled all over the world and stayed at some of the most exquisite 5 star hotels. Hands down this boutique hotel exceeds all those stays. The service, attention to detail and the hospitality of the staff were beyond our expectation. Upon arrival, Helda, gave us a tour of the hotel with it’s wonderful history and amazing architectural design. Antoine, our concierge, was professional, kind and caring. He paid special attention to every detail and took care of our needs. I can’t tell you how special this place is. Book it and you will not be disappointed.

This is a wonderful find! Welcomed by the brilliant Antoine, we have had a wonderful overnight stay in Aix. The other reviews are spot in, it feels like staying in an exclusive private house. We loved everything from the beautiful decor, to the gorgeous room and spa. Antoine was so friendly and helpful and took the time to talk to us (superb English!) sort a restaurant booking at the delicious Mitch and help us make the most of our short stay. The honesty bar is a great feature and we loved the simple, tasty breakfast We’ll definitely be back. It exceeded our expectations hence 6 stars!

We just finished a five day stay in Aix en Provence at this wonderful little boutique hotel. Largely we booked it as a results of all the steady glowing reviews, and are happy to say, they haven’t overstated anything. We travel a lot, but this is our first time in this part of the world. We had train difficulties coming out of Paris because of both a train strike, and a person jumping in front of a train. The result was being 5 hours late into Aix. We emailed ahead, and there wasn’t any issues. This is a bit of a different model in that there are only 4 suites.. All different...and named accordingly. Ours was the Henriette suite. The owner of this hotel is an architect and the lovely design touches that took 3 years to complete, make the place. On the entry level, there is a fully stocked kitchen with beer, wine, teas, coffees etc available for the guests. Breakfast is a simple one done just right. If you wish to get up or come in late and want something to drink in the wine or beer department, it’s an honour system that involves you writing down what you take. Simple and excellent. Sort of think of it as a home instead of a hotel. All room amenities are excellent...linens, pillows, Hermes toiletries etc. The star of this place however, is Antoine, the concierge......he is there in the mornings, and evenings, and with perfect English gets to understand your wants, and books reservations for everything from restaurants to tours, to fixing issues that guests run into that have nothing to do with the hotel. It made our stay just such an easy and memorial one. If you want a bit of a different luxurious kind of stay, book this place.....you won’t be disappointed. We just used it as our place to explore the whole area, and with Antoine’s suggestions of where to visit and also to eat, our life was made so much simpler and our stay at AIX even more pleasurable. Highly recommended!

Recently had an amazing 3 nights in Aix at La Maison d’Aix. We intended on spending 2 nights, but upon arriving at the property, we immediately decided to extend our stay. We booked the “love suite” and everything about it was exquisite. Large shower and separate bathtub, super comfy king size bed, elegant furnishings and an amazing terrace made this room a key find. But the true gem of La Maison d’Aix is the concierge/host, Antoine. Antoine made the whole stay feel like home, from the included breakfast each morning (which features an array of pastries, cheeses, and homemade fruit salad) to the spot on dining recommendations each night. Antoine also had suggestions for day trips and other areas we should visit (including a trip to Gordes which was something we wouldn’t have otherwise done but turned out to be a highlight of the trip). There is also a hidden spa in the basement of La Maison d’Aix which makes the whole stay feel a little more relaxing. Really, I can’t recommend this property enough-we have stayed at numerous “5 star” properties around the world and this place truly lives up to that designation.

...if you want to be a few minutes from everything, but on a quiet, safe street; if you want a beautiful, spacious room; an amazing hot tub and sauna in a romantic, vaulted ceiling cave; and if you want an excellent breakfast to start your day. Best of all is the concierge Antoine. He will make it his business to ensure you have all you need to really enjoy your stay. And do yourself a favor and let him recommend where to eat. We had two of our top ten best dining experiences thanks to him. We can't recommend Antoine and La Maison enough!!

My husband and I just spent 6 amazing days in Aix-en-Provence and this lovely boutique hotel was a treasure in and of itself. Our onsite hosts, Antoine and Augustin, went above and beyond to assist and provide world class service. The room, location, breakfast, and personal service are second to none and I would highly recommend the La Maison d’Aix.

Had a really nice two night stay here, and my wife and I loved it. The staff is around if you need them, but often they are not in the house. That creates a feeling that you are really a local, coming and going on your own, leaving on the short walk to town. If you need a ride, talk to the concierge... we were picked up in a Tesla Model X (the SUV). We then had the driver James give us a tour of the countryside the following day, which was a great way to see several towns and choose your own activities (and taste wine as well). The room we stayed in - there are only 4- had a very open floor plan. One bathroom sink, and when u get out of the shower, however you’re dressed it’ll be visible to anyone in the room. Didn’t bother us, but worth mentioning. Don’t get me wrong... the room was spacious and very nice. Just grab a glass of wine out of the refrigerator and mark it on the register on the honor system. Staff was friendly and very helpful. This hotel is a fantastic option!

Centrally located, spacious and comfortable and very chic. Antoine and Augustine, the friendly staff provide very good recommendations for what to do and where to dine in Aix taking the hassle out of travel

My wife and I just spent the most wonderful night at the Maison D'Aix. I was not prepared for the amazing level of individual attention and hospitality we received--my expectations were completely exceeded. The Maison D'Aix is not like a typical hotel, it's more like staying in a luxurious house in the most interesting part of town. Our host, Antoine, anticipated our every need and made outstanding recommendations for dinner and places to visit in the city. We feel like we've made a new friend! The next time we come back to Provence, we will definitely stay here again. I recommend you call ahead and get instructions for your arrival as the house is tucked away on a small street in the old city. After you're settled into your room, you'll be in your way to a fabulous visit to Aix-en-Provence.
