The room was very clean and spacious and was close to T2. The room and hotel was very quiet, we could not hear the planes at all. The hot water for the shower and wash basin took ages to come to temperature (we were on the 9th floor). The breakfast (cold selection) had a good choice and included specialty coffee in the price, however the hot food was not good quality for the price. Bar prices for food and drinks were very expensive. The area where the bar was situated and where breakfast was served was quite cold.

There appeared to be some cheap complementary tubs of vanilla ice cream near reception and my wife took one only to be reprimanded in quite a hostile and patronising manner by the 20-year-old receptionist who made her feel rather stupid when he told her that it was for children only. There was no indication that this was the case obviously had we known we wouldn’t have taken one - it wasn’t even that nice anyway and who cares? Added a sour sort of note to the stay.

Hotel has the perfect location for catching early-morning flights, the building itself is clean and spacious, and soundproofing is excellent (you'd hardly know you're at an airport). As of Dec 2025 bridge access to Departures is closed for reconstruction so you have to cross at road level, but once it's finished it'll be great again.

Just a 1 night stay before an early flight out of Melbourne Airport. It is probably just for that reason why you would stay here. Nothing else around, check-in service was quick, a few details, then get your key to the room. The room itself is pretty basic but you're getting what you're getting for an airport hotel.

I want to be fair—the location is unbeatable being the only on-airport option, and the check-in experience was actually quite good with very friendly staff. However, the stay itself was a 'low okay' and really missed the mark considering the $400+ per night price tag. The rooms are clean and adequate, but they feel more like a 2 or 3-star standard rather than a premium airport hotel. For example, the fridge was physically set up for a minibar but was just empty, which was confusing. The biggest issue was room service. We ordered at 10:30 PM (when it's virtually the only food option available), and it took over an hour to arrive. When it finally did, the food was cold and very average. It became clear there was only one staff member running room service for the entire hotel—definitely not his fault, but a major failure in staffing/management. Overall, you are paying for the convenience of the location, not the quality of the hotel or service.
