This is my second visit to Tildi and I have to say it didn’t disappoint. A lovely hotel closely located to the beach. Those of you who fancy the challenge a 45 minute walk to the top of the fort ruins which give a great view of the port and Agadir beach. The staff are friendly from Saffa one of the housekeepers to Khadija who made my omelettes in the morning. My only negative on this trip is the buffet dinner at Tildi my daughter is a vegetarian and there were limited options available to her (perhaps a vegetarian tagine? ) but there are many places to eat along the beach front.
hotel tildi and spa was a great hotel very friendly staff and clean does not look much from the front but excellent when in side nice reception lovely big pool and grounds great snack bar and services never tried the gym or spa as for agadir its not really a pace for brits in our opinion mostly for french and morrocans and was not what we expected really for a seaside resort not enough shops and where there were was few and far between one irish pub which was always empty and a british pub with food and sports but very expensive which was £ 3-85 a half of local lager and £4-80 a pint and £8-00 a litre weather was pretty good had a good time but wont be returning to agadir again
We stayed at Tildi for a week and asked for connecting rooms. The staff were helpful and friendly. We arrived a few hours before check in but they said our rooms were ready. The rooms were spacious but the decor was a bit dated and the room was dusty but we spoke to reception who arranged for the room to be cleaned and dusted straight away. The pool and garden were well maintained we enjoyed spending time there. Breakfast was lovely with food to suit all cultural backgrounds. Dinner had a variety of salads but the main meals were Moroccan and our kids didn’t enjoy them - my husband and I enjoyed the evening meals but would suggest some western meals and meals catering for children.I was also surprised we had to pay for water with our evening meal! The hotel arranged Berber nights when local musicians came into the dining area, it was nice to see the locals in traditional dress performing traditional folk songs. A magician also performed before dinner on one evening. Our housemaid Safa always made an extra effort to keep the rooms tidy and make lovely designs with the bedding. We took our own kettle and travel iron as these weren’t provided. There is a small fridge in the room and hair dryer in the bathroom. Our rooms faced the main road, over the weekend there was a lot of noise from the music clubs and made it difficult to sleep as I had the windows open. This was a nice mid range hotel. I would give the staff 5 stars. It is a 3 minute walk to the beach which is the best thing about it. There was a gym and spa and beauty services available. It was a comfortable stay.
This hotel is good value for money. I visited in April with my family; we have 3 children under the age of 5. It is basic but clean and all the staff are polite and helpful. A special mention for Mr Lahcen and Mr M,hend and the rest of the kitchen/ waiting staff team who worked so hard to make our stay comfortable and went out of their way to make our children feel welcomed. The food was varied and fresh and the chefs were always on hand to explain or assist with dietary needs. The grounds are beautifully kept and it was a most relaxing holiday. The central location is ideal for the beach and all the other delights Agadir has to offer. Thank you Hotel Tildi!
Lovely kind staff. Large clean room. Good location near the beach and close to the mountain fort. Very good sized pool with well maintained garden and resident tortoise. Even books to borrow. Joyful evening entertainment. Charming local proprietor and friendly guests. Loved it !
My wife and I have just returned from a most relaxing 10 day stay at the Tildi Hotel. Although I would have to agree with some reviewers that parts of the hotel were a wee bit "tired" we felt that this added to the charm of the place. Granted in comparison with modern hotels it would not achieve its 4 Star Rating - 3+++ would be more accurate - the staff, location, and general facilities were all very good. The staff in particular deserve a 6 Star Rating. Nothing was any bother to them whether it be Reception, Bar, Restaurant, Room Maid, Maintenance Staff or the Pool Snack Bar. The latter in particular offered such reasonably priced snacks that you didn't want to leave at lunchtime. Not all the food at Diner was to our taste but there was always a choice of dishes that were. We did not use the Spa facilities but those that did seemed pleased with the treatments they booked. The bedroom was big and airy with plenty of cupboard space. In the bathroom the grouting could have done with a clean between the tiles in places but everything else was spotless. Overall we had a great time at the Tildi made all the more enjoyable by the staff and the lovely Moroccan sunshine. We plan to return before too long. We could
Firstly , this hotel could really be classed as an excellent 3 star , it's decor and furnishings are honestly not 4 star but on saying that there are only a few points that I would find small faults with. I have stayed in many other hotels in Agadir (one particular other one 29 times ) so I was a bit apprehensive as I'd read mixed reviews about Tildi. On arrival at 4am I was assigned room 125 which is a standard room that is given to tour operators , reception pointed out that I could come back in the morning and subject to availability they would see if they could move me, the room I had been assigned is classed by the hotel as an "interior " room it faces a wall and there is no natural light , following morning I was moved to a pool facing room , it was well worth it , it's also worth noting that this hotel does not have balconies that you can sit out on but I knew that before I travelled, my 2nd room was very bright , airy and a lovely view of the mountains, the toilet and bathroom were separate in my 2nd room and there was a mini fridge also what I liked was there was 3 power points as normally there's only one, there are no English Channels on the TV a point that maybe management might look at in the future (even a news Channel would be nice!) However...What I was totally amazed with was the pool area , for some reason the brochure and on-line photos don't seem to capture or do justice to this fantastic feature of the hotel, the pool appears very small in all the pictures and yet it's a large full size pool, the large gardens surrounding the pool are very well maintained and beautifully laid out and there is a good pool side restaurant with a daily lunchtime special of 3 course lunch for €9 every day. Breakfast is Buffet , as commented by fellow guests below , the one lacking item is the absense of fresh fruit at breakfast , yes ...they have endless supplies of fresh orange juice ,but I'd rather have sliced oranges to be honest and a little other fresh fruit than the orange juice, the staff at breakfast were very helpful , Mr. Lachen who is in charge was very attentive , and Mohammad who worked at both breakfast and poolside restaurant was also very nice, the buffet is continental with many salad items (which we find unusual for us western Europeans at breakfast) there are plenty of pastries , toast , and made to order omelettes and Moroccan pancakes. I did not dine in the evening so I can't comment and I was in the bar a few evenings , unfortunately the bar is like a bar in a local social or sports club with no athmosphere at all but the staff were very pleasant. I also found the reception staff especially Hussein very helpful and pleasant at all times. Reception will also facilitate a late check-out with a small charge of €20 if required. I see comments about noise , I didn't experience this but then again I wasn't on that side of the building. I will certainly return to Hotel Tildi when visiting Agadir , I really enjoyed my stay there - I also have to mention that I travelled as part of a package with Sunway and the Representatibe Laila proved to be excellent and there was a mini-bus transfer included to/from the airport.
No fruits in breakfast. Smoked bar (but barmen were great). Some times did not get enough hot water in bathroom. Good location, close to the beach and main street. WiFi was in all areas. Great and very friendly staff. Lahcen and all other were always ready to help in all cases at any time. Beautiful garden and pool. Good value for the money.
Great location, easy walk to the seafront where there are loads of eateries. The food in the hotel was Moroccan and you could have soup for breakfast with other leftovers fron the evening before. The only criticism was that the hot food wasn't! The plates were also cold. Having said that a huge variety of dishes on offer. Lovely garden and pool although no lifeguard. The staff very friendly and helpful, good wifi, clean and comfortable rooms. Do try the Hamman and Massage - what an experience complete with mint tea!
Take caution; there is a nightclub/disco next door to the hotel booming heavy repetitive, bassy, music up towards the rooms on the pool side of the hotel. Only for I brought earplugs I wouldn't have slept a wink. I am not over exaggerating, it's pretty unbearable. Otherwise the hotel is fine and the staff are very helpful. They really need to sort out the noise problem from next door though.
