you get what you pay for i guess we paid quite a bit for just bed and breakfast. the breakfast in so basic and very limited most items seem like it was the left overs from last night. we didnt try eating lunch or dinner at the hotel as we was out most of the nights. the hotel does have another fast food place next to the shisha club whice is open till silly hours and the food is ok aswell. dont buy can of drinks from that place as tou can buy a whole bottle for lesss. the room we had wont so bad but it was a group of 6 lads just needed something to sleep at night as we didnt spent much time in the rooms lucky our rooms where right at the back of the hotel whice made is east for us to use the back entrance to go and come from the beach thats where most of the food places and clubs are. it not really a hotel for familys with kids as the standard of the rooms at at 4* but i seem some pics and the family rooms look much better but you would have to go up many miles of stairs. the security guys at the hotel are very friendly the new swimming pool is very small dont be fooled my the pic and if u wanna join our kids in the pool that not much change as the deep end and low end in blocked my fences. the old swimimg pool aint much but it a great relaxing place as no kids go there
Foto in Booking.com do not match reality Everything is old and damaged Long check in process about 20 minutes. No lift. Very poor and not tasty breakfast. Absolutely not organized food zones and take away process. I’m glad that I stay here just for two days, better will be not stay here at all. Maybe sometime it was a good hotel, but now strongly not recommended.
The hotel staff are friendly but only speak French or Arabic the holiday was all inclusive and has six bars which only 1 bar is the all inclusive which is also situated outside.the food was total discrace had to eat out side every night never no choice of food always fish or chicken and rice with no flavour the rooms are basic but no kettle or cups in room to have a coffee in morning there was no entertainment for holiday makers unless you went into the paid bars. My lesson learnt if you wanna go all inclusive go to a 5 star hotel never again will I come to morocco I felt like I was in France everyday not Morocco. Total waste of money and week of my life.
Despite reading a lot of negative reviews, we booked this hotel anyway for our first trip to Morocco. I can safely say we made it home alive despite reports of food poisoning, creepy security guards and needy and aggressive cats. There is a lot of points made in other reviews so I'm going to cover most of then. On arrival we were checked in straight away and porters there to bring our bags to the rooms. Alright, the rooms are a bit dated but they have everything you need. There are some rooms which have been renovated so if you can bag one of these you're set. There is alot of steps and slopes to get to majority of rooms which might not suit some people but i have reduced mobility and managed it. All the staff were very friendly, rooms cleaned every day, towels changed and toiletries replaced. There are 2 pools on the complex. One has been renovated and this is where all the activities take place - aqua aerobics, darts, table tennis, etc. You can rent pool towels here for 100 dirham (approx €10) and can exchange them as needed and money returned when leaving. The 2nd pool where we stayed most could do with a little bit of maintenance - some tiles missing in pool and plastic grate around pool edge needs replacing but didn't stop us using the pool. Nice bar which we used plenty (all inclusive - local beer, spirits and soft drinks). Plenty of sunbeds and friendly staff. We were all inclusive so all meals were had there. Happy to say we didn't get food poisoning as some have reported. There was a good selection for breakfast, lunch and dinner with plenty of different options in fish and meat and the desserts are to die for. Every day we had the resident cats and kittens up looking for food which was fine and even had one visit my room when I left the door open. If you are not a fan of cats then maybe Agadir itself is not the place for you. CATS EVERYWHERE and the odd few dogs just roaming around. We went to the spa for a bit of TLC and definitely worth a visit. The beach is literally outside the entrance and there is a reserved area with sun loungers for hotel guests. The one thing you have to do - take a trip to see the goats in the trees. Might be over-priced but you're not going to see it anywhere else. Overall would I recommend this hotel? Absolutely. Just goes to show you can't believe everything you read.
Hotel itself is in a perfect location 10/10. And views of the sea and the big hill from hotel are 10/10. The refurbished rooms are to 3 a star standard if your lucky enough to get one. We were first given an old style room that look like it was haunted. 1 star! Our refurbished room had a faulty AC which made sleeping at night uncomfortable - the AC needed to be pumped up with gas everyday to make it work, we were offered an alternative room but it was an old style room - we decided to just stick with the refurbished room. Avoid Rasheed in reception he is very rude and has a bad attitude towards customers if your not happy with something. We also had a faulty toilet that didn’t flush properly. Breakfast- limited choice but good. Lunch was sometimes good with plenty of variety and some days it was very poor overall not worth the all inclusive which we paid For. There was always a foul smell near the pool areas and kids club which could have been fish etc. Kids club was abit poor there was 2 functional slides that’s about it. No real entertainment for children. Swimming pools were clean and good for kids and adults. Animation team try their best to make guests comfortable. Overall I think service needs to be improved 3/10 for service . Sufyan the waiter was great with the family and always looked after us well. Remember if you run out of certain foods and they don’t top it up speak to the manager in the dining area they will bring more from the kitchen. Sadly I won’t bring my family back to this hotel again. The whole place looks run down. I would pay extra and stay somewhere else. Also if you checkout at 12 and you have a late flight - rasheed in reception will cut off your ‘all inclusive ‘wrist band and tell u that you need to pay for the rest of the meals and drinks if you stay at the hotel- this is first time a hotel with all inclusive package has done this to us and we have been on many.
So, after booking and reading all the reviews from all the sources I could find I was not exactly sure what we would find once we arrived. On arrival the Rep from one of the many tour companys said we should have a seat and gave us the forms needed to checkin. Checkin was easy enough. Take cash as cash is king in Morocco and most places only take cash. There is a ATM in the reception but does seem to run out of cash. I paid the local tax and we where given a key card and told what time breakfast was. When we got to the room you could see it was dated and in need of updating and repair. It was ok to stay in just very tired. We where given a room with 3 single beds. When where wanting a dbl bed. I walked back to reception and the rep said I should wait till the morning. Morning came we made out way down to breakfast which was a traditional Moroccan spread I would say. Its nothing special and there is not a western spread as they are not a western country and with it being a mainly Muslim country no pork of course. We managed to have a acceptable meal and then I went over to reception to see if they had a room with a dbl bed. The lady said we could go and look at a room that had just had people check out and if we liked it we could move. The other room was great so we went to get our bags to move them to the new room. When we got to our old room we noticed that housekeeping notice we where together and had moved the beds together and made it a dbl, but we chose to stay with the new room they had offerd. The new room was redone more recently and therefore much nicer. The issue I feel this resort suffers from is there seems to have been no maintenance carried out for many years and with it being such a large resort they are really struggling to bring it up to standard. You can see workers working throughout the day although they do seem to work at a slow pace. The gardens are great but yet again lack the maintenance. There are a few things needed and this would be a exceptional resort. It's not bad by any means. Just tired and in need of a lot of work. They are trying but I can say that there is scope for them to try harder. All in all for the price you pay to be able to sit in a private cordoned off part of the beach and its location it's great. I'd say maybe 5 years at the rate they are working and it will be a top place. And the SPA is great.
Booked this very last minute as our original holiday to Tunisia with Thomas Cook was cancelled. As we booked 3 days before we were due to arrive we didn't read the reviews until after we booked and to be honest we were dreading arriving as the reviews some people wrote were awful. As soon as we arrived though we had no doubt that we had done the right thing. As soon as we walked into reception everyone was so friendly, the reception area was lovely. The grounds were stiunning, the views from the bars and restaraunt outside seating area were stunning. the pools were lovely and perfect for my mixture of kids ages (10,6 and 1). The room was lovely and spacious. The food was a bit repetitive but it was very nice and well cooked and found something for us all. My 10 year old is a very fussy eater though so she struggled in the evening but she loved the pizza shop on site so she was well fed. All the staff throughout the hotel were so amazing and so friendly with my kids and us, they really made us feel welcome, They particularly loved my 1 year old little boy and made such a fuss of him and were able to give me milk for him whenever I asked. The only downside is the towel situation, if there are 5 people staying in a room then 5 towels would be good not just 2 between us all but that is the only bad point i can say. I would definitely return to this hotel and recommend. I can't understand why people have put bad reviews on this. A massive thank you to all the amazing staff throughout the hotel. After a very stressful week leading up to this holiday due to Thomas Cook this is just what we needed to get over it and relax
Hotel is spotless and clean. A bit outdated but no complaints on cleanliness. The cleaning staff were great in providing anything we wanted. The reception staff Abdul and Kahdija were amazing when we wanted to change rooms to be nearer family. The hotel location is fantastic. On the promenade and across from the beach. Near to everything. Yes food is repetitive but if you don’t want to eat there there plenty of places to eat outside on the doorstep. Food could do with more options for vegetarians and children but other than that food was fine. I only managed the breakfast twice and instead went to the snack bar for a cuppa and some buns. (See picture) It is a rather big resort and if you have issues with mobility give yourself plenty of time to get where you want to go. There are a lot of stairs but the hotel staff are happy to accommodate you to a lower level if you are disabled which allows you to use the ramps instead of climbing stairs. I would definitely visit again!!
absolutely disgraceful.we went all inclusive and the bar ran out of beer at 3.30 when it was open until 6 pm. we were told to go to another bar which had also ran out of beer. The meals were a joke apart from lunchtime. Firstly the safe didn't work and we had to carry all our valuables around for a day and a half until it could be fixed. Then we got locked out of the room because the lock was broken and then got locked in because it wasn't fixed right. The staff were pig ignorant apart from our cleaner. Outside the hotel the whole area was filthy and disgusting.I have just been looking at the area 3 years ago and it's a totally different place!!!! what happened???
Stayed here B&B in September 2019 with my husband. Did exactly what we wanted, clean spacious room, close to the pool, well maintained grounds. No complaints. TIP - if breakfast was anything to go by (same every day) don't pay for evening meals, eat at the Al Moggar Fast Food on site - delicious freshly cooked pizzas, pasta, burgers, etc, and exceptionally cheap (pizza and chips a fiver!)
