My wife and i stayed for our anniversary. We found the hotel to be very nice and staff were fantastic. Our room was very clean and comfortable with a king bed and big tv.Buffet breakfast was very nice and went till 11am giving you time for a sleep in.
Great rooms, the restaurant was an excellent breakfast spot, Hennessy bar is beautiful and the overall stay was very comfortable. Only complaint was the lack of signage and large entrance at street level
We have stayed here before and will return again - best hotel in Adelaide service, amenities, rooms - all exceptional! All the little things that take a hotel from really good to exceptional are matter of course at the Mayfair - thank you to all staff!
the staff were great and our rooms were really clean. my friends and i would recommend staying here again anytime. the hotel has a resturnat downstairs and the food was amazing. very central to the city as well
The Mayfair hotel is well situated in the heart of Adelaide, everything in walking distance. I was there for business and cannot fault the service or quality of this hotel. Beautifully furnished rooms, big spacious bathroom and luxury fittings. The most comfortable bed, it was like sleeping on a cloud. Quiet too. Would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Adelaide.
very friendly check-in and check-out, many good Infos about Restaurants by the Concierge, room was spacious and very quiet, clean, A/C working well, very comfortable Kingsize bed, great bathroom and shower : Overall PHANTASTIC
I stayed in the hotel from 1st to 5th Nov. The stay was unremarkable, and I checked out in the morning on the 5th of Nov. There was no mention of any outstanding bill during check-out.To my horror, after returning to Singapore, I received an email from the hotel, billing me for a drink ordered in the hotel roof top bar on the 1st of Nov. " Lunch bar drink"I was wrongly charged. I did not have any drinks at the hotel bar on that day. It must be a wrong charge, as I had only landed in Adelaide at around 230pm, and only checked into the hotel at about 3pm. I did not have my lunch there.I replied the hotel about this error. They were very prompt to reply (within half a day) informing me that it was a charge for a drink I ordered in the evening instead (changed from lunch, which they initially stated in the bill).I replied again, explained that I did not enter the bar throughout my stay, and did not order the drink. Also, to prove that I was not at their bar during dinner time, I tried to show them proof of having eaten at other restaurant that evening. However, there is no further response from the hotel. And, I checked that my credit card was already charged for the drink. This is bullying. This is fraud. I should not be made to pay for a drink I did not order, or consume. I feel that they were sneaky and dishonest in charging me. They did not send me any bill on the day of the "drink order" and it was not mentioned to me during my check-out. I would have been able to dispute this erroneous charge if I had known about it on the day of wrong charge itself, or if I was still in Adelaide.
We stayed in a suite which was roomy, had a wonderfully comfortable bed, sitting area and modern bathroom. What I liked best is that the room didn’t seem bare and clinical, but had a good feel with lots of little touches that made it feel more ‘homely’. The breakfast buffet is one of the best I have experienced, with delicious coffee, a honey bar full of different types of honey, and heaps of nice additions like guacamole and coconut chia pudding as well as the usual eggs, bacon, sausages etc. The rooftop bar is just fabulous. Sip yummy cocktails amongst gargoyles, heavy wooden beams and leather armchairs. Perfectly situated next to Rundle Mall and trams. I would definitely come back!
The first trully 5 stars hotel I have found in Australia so far. Location is great. Services and staff at the level you can expect of a 5 stars hotel. Hghly recomended. Breakfast was included for me and it was a full buffet. Only space in the room when it gets crowded is tight.
We stayed here one night for my husbands birthday and was a gift voucher. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Dinner in the Mayflower was delicious the prices at first look are a little expensive, but the size of serving are very generous and great quality. The rooms are beautiful, roomy and the bathroom was large and very clean. The bed was so comfy. Room was quiet didn't hear doors closing from other rooms. Breakfast was included in our room deal, and my goodness, would have to be the best buffet breakfast i have had in my travels. It caters for everybody's dietary requirements. would highly recommend this hotel.
