Formerly the Treasury Offices and converted very tastfully in period fashion ;the rooms were big , and able to open windows , tho` all was airconded; parking nearby ; only 3 blocks from the Mall; clean , tidy and comfortable
I was genuinely impressed with my room. Plenty of room, lovely kitchen and bathroom facilities. Bed was very comfortable and everything was beautiful and clean Will definitely be staying again the next time I visit the city!
Three positives are; 1) location, perfectly in the centre of town, 2) the reception team, especially Natalie who really went the extra mile and 3) the historic nature of the room. However, there are also downsides. The rooms lack atmosphere, feeling rather basic although the bathroom is smart with modern tiles. The culture of the hotel has, perhaps unintentionally, a feeling of pettiness about it ranging from the ridiculous cap of four devices per room, irrespective of how many guests in the room, to the drippingly slow speed of less than 1mps for free wifi, (higher speed at a fee) to charging $4.50 for washing powder to the antiquated small TV’s that have been locked out of accepting DVD or HDMI ports. When we paid over Aus$500 a night, we expected better
Centre of Adelaide, right next door to the Town Hall and opposite the Adelaide GPO and abutting Victoria Square. But, surprisingly with just a few steps from King William Street is a retreat from the CBD. Quiet surrounds, historic courtyard setting is wonderful with bar and restaurant. If you don't want to eat in there is vast range of cafes and restaurants to choose from nearby. Car parking is offsite, but better than most offered by hotels of this calibre in Adelaide. Would like to have stayed longer.
We recently stayed for 4 nights over Easter in a studio apartment. The facilities provided in this historic building are excellent with large quiet rooms, comfy bed and well equipped kitchenette. The daily cleaning was very good and friendly and efficient staff were encountered in all areas. The reception staff were very friendly and attentive and only too pleased to assist with arranging tours, transfers, etc. We really enjoyed the indoor pool, spa and sauna at the end of each day. The location is fantastic, in close walking distance to the markets, mall and countless eating choices. The tram stop to Glenelg beach is just across the square from the hotel as well. We will definitely be returning to this hotel upon our next visit to Adelaide.
I stayed here because I needed proximity to the Glenelg tram which I needed for work. It also happens to be near many excellent eateries, the markets and so much more. The rooms are large and individualised and there are modern facilities, good bathrooms, ample desk space, an area for toast and jam, a good desk, free wifi and even a small balcony. The Adelaide Town Hall clock certainly kept the time for you and told you about it. Service was wonderful: a small wifi glitch had someone up very quickly to fix it, a need for red wine saw a bottle delivered rapidly. The meals were excellent - outsourced admittedly but right there. I would stay there again for sure.
Adina Apartment Hotel Adelaide Treasury is wonderfully appointed and staffed by caring, informative people. A pleasure to partake of the Hotel's facilities and will stay there again. of the staff were personable and helpful.
Stayed here for three nights in large apartment with full kitchen and washing machine, which as laundry service not available at weekend, I took full advantage of after three days on the Ghan railway from Darwin. Lovely spot, very central. Nice courtyard with fountain for quiet drink. Friendly staff. Nice room service food but only between six and nine. Couple of gripes were that firstly, room guide says washing up powder is in mini bar. Spent some time searching, and there isn’t one. They quickly delivered when asked. Secondly, pizza I ordered one evening was not available. “You’ve got an old menu” I was told, as if it was my fault. It was still in place three days later to confuse the next guest I am afraid. Overall very happy though.
This hotel is a top pick! Large rooms, great facilities with a gym, pool, sauna, bar and restaurant. Very cool old building in a great location with excellent spacious conference rooms. Will be back again.
This is beautiful accommodation in a fantastic location for exploring Adelaide. The service was great and we enjoyed local beers in the bar on a very busy Friday evening. The history of the building adds to the experience.
