We usually stay at a Hilton property on our holidays and unfortunately this time we booked an unrenovated room which was very below Hilton or any hotel standard. Very disappointing, mismatched and damaged furniture in the room, vermiculite ceiling (something from the 1970’s) and a bathroom with marked scratches on the bath/shower floor. These rooms really should not be sold. However, we advised the lovely staff at the front desk and they quickly found a renovated room for us which was much more up to the Hilton standard and we were very pleased with this. Staff were amazing, very attentive and friendly. The hotel is located in the most central part of Adelaide, next to the Adelaide Central market and great choice of restaurants on Gouger Street, short walk to Rundle street or the tram is at your doorstep (2 stops to Rundle STreet) or to Glenelg Beach. The buffet breakfast was fabulous, coffee not so great. The gym was one of the best I have seen in a hotel, equipped with everything you could need and more. Amazing! We enjoyed our stay and the location was the best. The hotel clearly needs a full refurbishment and update but the location and the staff made our stay. Thank you Hilton :)
