Staff very friendly but the place looks old and worn. We had to place towels on the wheels of the bed because when you sat or lay on the bed it would roll away and pillows fell behind the bed.

The true nature/quality (lack thereof) of this very disappointing hotel is certainly only discovered AFTER checking in, as it's representation pictorially is, at best, misleading. This is a very rundown and unloved property that is in serious need of significant/major renovation. There were no redeeming qualities to this property, and I would not recommend anyone to stay there. There is an old saying in hotels - "You cannot ask people to pay for something that is less than what they get at home for free". This is a woeful hotel and is certainly not to Mercure/Accor standards and should be removed from their portfolio.

I’ve actually contacted the hotel in email but I’ve yet to receive a response. Firstly, the air con wasn’t functioning properly and the room swung between hot and cold. There wasn’t a option to open a window or anything so that was pretty unpleasant. The water from the taps was opaque and when we attempted to have showers in the morning before leaving, we found it was broken and the lever wouldn’t stay up. I did call reception who offered us a room down the hall to shower on, but given we had to leave in the next half an hour that really wasn’t convenient. I was trying to explain that to reception but the phone literally fell apart in my hand, the cord coming out and not staying in. It would have been borderline comedic if we hadn’t just spent almost 150 dollars for hard beds in a hot room with undrinkable water and no showers. Oh also we got like 2 glasses between three people. Weird. Anyway, you’d be better off staying in a hostel given you are t guaranteed being able to shower in your own room. I’ve asked for a partial refund, which I think is more than fair, and I’ll update when I hear back

To be honest the hotel needs updated I found my room gloomy but it was ok because I was only staying one night the bed was so comfortable. I was disappointed with breakfast for $18 I didn’t know when I paid for breakfast it wasn’t going to be a cooked breakfast and that was what I was so looking forward too so $18 for two slices of toast was expensive.but in saying if I needed a room for the night again I’d still come back minus paying for breakfast

Room was on second floor, but felt like the basement as there was no window you could look out from. The bathroom vanity had a large panel fall off onto my wife's foot. The bed felt that there was little life left in the springs. The location was good though - right by the main Adelaide train station and trams

Great location. Very friendly staff from reception to housekeeping everyone greeted you with a smile. The hotel itself is clean but quite dated and could do with some updating. The bed and pillows were extremely uncomfortable and the bed was on wheels so it kept rolling away from the wall everytime I got in.
