Couple in 60s. Vegan.
We booked this hotel but it was only on arrival that we were told the main swimming pool was closed for renovation. The access to black sand / small rocks beach was not easy.
1. Staff. They were all friendly, professional.
2. Room. All amenities were good. The bed was comfortable. There was a wide selection of pillows. The main ones were too soft.
Balcony with a sea view was excellent.
3. Food. We booked half-board. There was plenty of choice for vegans. All the food was delicious.
The soups were excessively salty. On 3 occasions we just could not have the soup as it was excessively salty.
Drinks were extra - 1 litre bottle of water for 6 euros is excessive. We bought a 5 l bottle from supermarket opposite and took water bottles for dinner.
4. Swimming pool. The main large one was closed. The 2 smaller ones were okay but it meant there was overcrowding.
5. Entertainment.
The Aquacise sessions were great. Anita was brilliant.
The DJs were great and played some normal music.
We are not great fans of the Hard Rock music that played all day and in the evening. We will not miss that.
6. Closeby
We accidentally discovered the seafront walk. It would have been good if the hotel staff had mentioned that.
Also we got to know of the shuttle bus into Central for a sandy beach at 1am everyday.
