Villa Galatea is a splendid residence by the sea, consisting of 4 independent apartments, situated in Stazzo, a small village on the Ionian coast, close to Acireale. Set just a few steps from a low cliff with direct sea access, the complex boasts a beautiful pool and a large, well tended garden with lawn. Recently built, the property includes a main villa - that together with the owners' apartments houses the holiday apartments Corallo, Lampara and Conchiglia - and the annex - Casetta - which stands in a more secluded area of the garden. Tastefully furnished, all the apartments have their own private terrace and parking space and are equipped with internet wi-fi and satellite tv. The surrounding area offers a variety of places to visit: from the renowned, touristic towns of Acireale, Catania, Taormina and Syracuse to the charming fishing villages of Aci Trezza and Aci Castello, to the unique, natural landscape of Mount Etna.

Overall a good stay

The location was lovely, beautiful grounds, pool and sea access. The apartment did lack a few basics. There were 3 odd mugs, no bowls, no wine glasses only an odd selection of different glasses. There was no sharp knife or chopping board. We purchased glasses, bowls and knife. Towels were supposed to be changed after 4 days but weren’t.

Zu dreckig

Leider roch es in der Wohnung muffig und ungelüftet sowie leicht modrig. Keine Schneidemesser. Nach einiger Zeit Ameisenstrassen und Fliegen. Draußen waren die Garten- und Poolmöbel nicht geputzt ebenso der die Bodenplatten vor dem Eingang dreckig. Ameisenfallen wurden besorgt haben aber nicht funktioniert. Schade

Posto molto bello, appartamento bello che meriterebbe di essere pulito meglio. Bel giardino e piscina e estrema disponibilità da parte del signor Russo(Pippo).Il punto più negativo è la mancanza di attrezzatura per cucinare. Con l’induzione solo 2 cose erano sfruttabili. Mancava anche un coltello da cucina un tagliere ecc. Per le comunicazioni abbiamo dovuto insistere più volte per usare l’italiano pur essendo in Italia e questo non è gradevole .

Super schöne Anlage zum Entspannen

Die Verständigung war etwas schwierig,man wollte von uns einen Anruf bei Ankunft am Flughafen.Beim anrufen verstand man uns nicht da nur italienisch auf der anderen Seite verstanden wurde,daraufhin hat die andere Seite einfach aufgelegt. Bei unserer Ankunft wurden wir dann sehr nett wenn auch chaotisch empfangen. Da alle Mieter fast zeitgleich eintrafen.Dank Übersetzungs-App haben wir das Passwort für das W-LAN erfragen können. Die Kaffeekanne die nicht für 4 Erwachsene ausgelegt war wurde uns unkompliziert eine größere am nächsten Tag gebracht. Als wir nachfragten wo man hier gut essen gehen könnte hat man uns sogar mal kurz einen Tisch in einem beliebten Restaurant reserviert. Zugang ins Meer war direkt aus der Anlage möglich, und mit der Leiter ins Meer kam man sehr bequem rein und wieder raus.Pool war zwar nicht der aus den online Bildern. Aber es gab einen neuen größeren Pool mit Jakuzzi,großer liege Terasse,Liegen,Schirmen und Außendusche.Die neue Poollandschaft hat uns überrascht,ist aber super schön.Ausstattung der FeWo war sehr minimalistisch.In der Küche kann man nur Kleinigkeiten zubereiten wie Suppe oder Pasta.Für mehr fehlt es an Kochutensilien.Schrank hat zu wenig Platz Dinge Hinzulegen.Zweidrittel des Schrankes ist für Kleiderbügeln belegt. Um Kleinigkeit abzulegen gab es im Schlafzimmer gar keine Möglichkeit.Für ein paar Tage geht das aber schon. Die Gastgeber waren immer sehr hilfsbereit und freundlich. Haben uns super wohl gefühlt, würden immer wieder komme

Traumhafte Lage

Die Anlage mit dem Ausblick auf das Meer mit dem privaten See ist traumhaft!!! Nur Schade, dass der Pool zu dieser Zeit defekt/oder noch nicht in Betrieb??? war. Die Wohnung war gut ausgestattet. Und wenn etwas fehlte, hat der Hausmeister, Herr Rosso es sofort besorgt. Herr Rosso konnte zwar kein englisch, aber dank Google translator war es absolut kein Problem. Die Lage der Wohnung um die Ostküste Siziliens zu bekunden fanden wir auch perfekt. Weniger als eine Stunde nach Catania, Taormina, Ätna, ca. 1,5h nach Syrakus und fussläufige Restaurants direkt am Meer erreichbar. Man könnte auch den ganzen Urlaub nur am Pool verbringen und aufs Meer hinausschauen... Ich habe einen Abzug bei der Sauberkeit gemacht, weil das Geschirr nicht ganz so sauber war und beim Inserat, weil der Pool zu dieser Zeit nicht betriebsbereit war. Ansonsten hätte ich volle Punktzahl vergeben. Es war ein toller Urlaub!
