We spent 4 nights here with our kids, 7 and 11. I had booked the hotel from their website 6 months earlier. As we headed down the small streets off the highway we were pleasantly surprised to find our hotel was true to all the reviews and pictures. Check in was quick and we were given a room on the beach side with a king and pull out sofa. Room is nice and recently updated, good wifi, fridge and nice tv. Balcony was a big plus with views of the sea and the bridge. We were a little skeptical of the "all inclusive" aspect of the hotel but were found it to be perfect for our needs with the kids. (It is not like a Caribbean/Mexico all inclusive all day long with service of everything). Breakfast, lunch and dinner are provided with enough variety that everyone was satisfied and our kids even tried some new foods. Beer and a simple red and white wine is available all day as well as soft drinks. All other drinks and food are available at a reasonable price. The beach bar also has ice cream for the kids after lunch and dinner hours. Overall the food exceeded our expectations. Also the staff for the restaurant was very accommodating with our picky eater and would bring out pasta with no sauce if she didn't like what was prepared. The beach always had plenty of chairs with umbrellas and attentive beach bar staff. This beach is moderately rocky and the tide line but fine thereafter. Water was a perfect temperature. Ping pong and volleyball for the more active type. The pool was our kids favorite part of the hotel. Nice large pool that never seemed crowded. The bathroom hair dryer is the only negative thing I can think of regarding this hotel. It is as if an old vacuum cleaner and blow dryer were cobbled together to make a frustration device. All in all we will definitely stay here again when we are back in the area.
Decent hotel in the Rio beach area near Patras. Basic hotel overall, but well maintained, generally clean, and good breakfast and dinner. Very nice large pool. We are a family of 6 with young children and this ended up being a much better option than staying in downtown Patras. Staff was helpful and friendly. If you have a need to visit Patras and have a car, would highly recommend staying here.
The hotel was very good and the food also , but the beach was full of jellyfish and my son was beaten by them, this is to repair if you want te get more tourists because they were very dangerous and you had to be very careful when you ran into the sea, everething else was great.
When you arrive at 2 am after 3 hrs of driving from Athens, tired, and a nice man with a lot of years of experience welcomes you in your own language (and I am far from being anglosaxon) smiling...it is already a great start. Then...the rich breakfast and the - ALWAYS DIFFERENT - lunches and evenings, with free flow of white and red wines. Gentle staff..even teaching you how to make greek coffee. I was extremely happy when I arrived and was told I'd be getting an upgraded room. The property is awesome, the pool is so refreshing, the rooms are spacious, and finally a bathtub!!! Wifi worked well, killer views! My one issue is that the refrigerators were not cold enough, I tried to get them to make them cold, but was told that's how they are kept. Still recommend for the price.
Old building BUT renovated in the beautiful suberb of Rio just 10 minutes from the centre of Patra city (two hours drive from Athens). It is located by the sea. The rooms (i reserved with sea view) are quite nice, with verandas that offer great view of the opposite side of continental Greece and the impresive Rio bridge. On the other side visitors enjoy mountainous view. The lobby is modern and the restaurant i may say great! The staff is always willing. A beautigul garden seperates the main building from the shore and the external picine is big enough for anyone.
It looks sketchy from the outside but the rooms are very decent and come with sea views. There's also free parking available. There's a huge spread available for breakfast as well (but not all the food is good, as with most hotel breakfast buffets).
The hotel is beautifully situated with view on the sea, surrounded by a village-like neighbourhood with orange trees. The location also means a lack of infrastructure, don't expect any shops nearby. Public transport (i.e. suburban train) to the city of Patra is available but details are difficult to find out. The room rate was quite cheap and the room did correspond to that: beds are sufficiently comfortable but not more than that. A selection of international TV channels is available. The bathroom and room have basic furniture. There's a restaurant inside the hotel but I would not recommend it as the breakfast buffet was there as well:The poor quality of the breakfast really didn't live up to my expectations. Conclusion: It's okay if you're looking for a cheap, basic stay and sea view. If comfort and a good breakfast are important for you, look somewhere else.
We decided to stay here instead of downtown Patras, and were not disappointed. Accessed down a small road, the hotel has good free parking, is modern and well equipped. There are several restaurants nearby as an alternative to the hotel itself.
Great clean hotel right on the beach with views of the sea and bridge leaving patras. Friendly staff, great amenities and delicious breakfast. My husband and I stayed middle march for 2 nights and would stay again!
