Unfriendly frontdesk, more than one occassion the responses were very blunt and rude. Also refused to include free breakfast inspite of using visa black card, which should have automatically availed this benefit.
This was my second time staying at the Eastern Mangroves. I came back because I find the hotel gorgeous and relaxing. The room is very comfortable and generally the service is outstanding. The excellent location also makes it easy to get around, whether via driving or by taxi. The only negative I experienced on this trip was the check in process. First, we were given twin beds instead of the king I booked. When I mentioned this, the woman said the king bed would be an upgrade, which I didn't want to pay for. Finally we ended up with the king bed after all but instead of the city view we paid for, we had a view of the car park. So disappointing, especially considering last time we used the balcony a lot due to the excellent views afforded us. The last thing at check in that was not up to par was the lack of information about breakfast. We were not told the location of breakfast or the time it was open. I had to wake up early the next morning to call down to inquire. Besides these negatives at check in, the other parts of our stay were excellent. We'll be back soon.
Great hotel if you want to relax after a busy long day full of meetings. Great staff and rooms are very spacious and huge. Overall is great!
Great hotel with great value. I recommend it to everyone visiting Abu Dhabi. The only thing that I wish this hotel has is access to a beach and and area for hookah smoking if it rains. Other than that, beautiful resort.
