Your Thailand itinerary: 10 days
Day 1: Bangkok
Fly into Thailand’s capital, Bangkok, for a 2-night stay to begin your 10-day Thailand travel itinerary.

- Temple of the Reclining Buddha and Wat Arun
- Bangkok National Museum
- Sample street food in Chinatown along Yaowarat Road
- Experience nightlife on Khao San Road
Where to stay: Choose the Novotel Bangkok Siam Square to be steps from popular shopping malls, or Mercure Bangkok Siam to enjoy the rooftop pool.
Transportation: The BTS Skytrain and the MRT subway ensure quick, easy access to Bangkok’s major attractions. Taxis and tuk tuks are also readily available.
Day3: Chiang Mai
It’s a 70-minute flight from Bangkok to Chiang Mai, the 2nd city on your Thailand vacation. Pick up your rental car at the airport and check into your hotel for a 3-night stay.

Day5: Krabi
Your flight from Chiang Mai to Krabi will take about 2 hours. For this part of your Thailand travel itinerary, your base is the beachside town of Ao Nang, which is a short drive from Krabi Airport, where you can pick up a rental car.

- Visit Khao Phra Bang Khram Nature Reserve and Klong Thom Hot Springs

Transportation: Ao Nang is walkable, but you’ll need your rental car to explore the wider region.
Day 7: Phi Phi Islands
A 90-minute ferry ride brings you to the dazzling Phi Phi Islands. Check into your hotel on Phi Phi Don, the largest of the islands, for a 2-night stay.

- Hike to the Phi Phi Viewpoint
- Visit Shark Point and the King Cruiser Wreck

Day 8: Phuket
Hop back on a ferry for the 2-hour trip to Phuket. Choose your base for the 2-night stay: Karon and Kata are good choices for families, Patong is the place for nightlife and Bang Tao Beach is a relaxing haven.
