What you can expect

Glide across the calm waters around Cape Henlepon on a smooth and stable stand-up paddleboard. Hone your balance and paddling technique as you cruise along, admiring stunning sunset views and watching the water for pods of playful dolphins.

Head to the beach and get set up on your paddleboard, listening to a brief orientation and introduction to the sport before pushing out onto the water. Once you're drifting in the quiet Delaware Bay, spend some time practicing speeding up, slowing down, and turning around before dipping your paddle in and setting off toward Cape Henlopen.

Watch the water for frolicking dolphins, spot the soaring sails of the Kalmar Nyckel if she happens to be in port, and get up close to the Delaware Breakwater East End Lighthouse. As the daylight begins to fade, take a seat on your board to enjoy spectacular views of the setting sun before heading back to shore.

Starting time may vary slight depending on exact sunset time.
