Also known as Santiago Airport, Cibao International Airport (STI) can be found in the second largest city in the Dominican Republic, Santiago de los Caballeros.
This public airport is owned by the City of Santiago and is a hub for Aerolineas Mas as well as several other locally operated airlines. The new modernized terminal has many advanced airport amenities for passengers. The majority of travelers who visit the area hail from the United States, Puerto Rico, The Caicos Islands, and Panama, as well as Haitians who now reside in the Cibao area.
If you require your own mode of transportation during your stay in Santiago, you can rent a car at Alamo or National car rental, which can be found inside the airport. Sixt and Dollar car rental company locations can also be found in the city.
Santiago is Chile s capital city and it s a city full of attractions; such as sites to see, places to visit and it offers a number of opportunities for day trips.
Visitors can hike up Cerro Santa Lucia to enjoy panoramic views of the city, or head straight to Plaza de Armas, the former city center, encased in history and buzzing with culture that s home to the exceptional Catedral Metropolitana de Santiago and the Museo Historico Nacional, the museum of Chilean history.
