Guyana's laid-back capital, Georgetown, is served by Cheddi Jagan, a recently modernized terminal 25 miles south of the Caribbean coastal city. Visitors to this small South American state, sandwiched between Venezuela and Suriname, can expect typically tropical year-round temperatures of around 80 degrees, with a wet season that peaks in June.
