HOT! Not a good experience but hopefully temporary

Just to keep things in perspective, the issues I had seemed to be temporary due to construction but none the less what I experienced. The room was extremely hot. When I called down to the front desk to ask about it, they told me it was a known issue and should be fixed the next day. It was very hot for a couple days and then a little more managable the rest of the week but I had to keep the balcony door open the entire time (Febuary) just to keep the room at a manageable temp. The water also randomly and repeatedly went from scalding hot to cold during my showers which was fun. Other than that, its a no frills hotel but clean (aside from the construction) and in a good location (right across from the train station). I chose this place because of its location and the gym which is actually offsite but thats not a big deal. I might give it a try again and hope its better next time.

Short walking distance to Train Sation was great. Breakfast was excellent and with convenient hours. Restaurant (excellent Chinese food) is widely known and gets many external diners, expensive so would have appreciated a discount coupon for being a hotel guest.

We stayed 5 nights while visiting elderly relatives in Rapperswil. This was perfect for us in both location and service. The staff were all very helpful and enthusiastic. Breakfasts were a highlight of the day. Right across from the train station but we didn't hear a sound during the night. Very comfortable and convenient. Wish list: a comfortable chair for reading (maybe two?)

Across from train station

The hotel was nice. We weren’t there long, just overnight on our way back to Zurich. Location is directly across from the train station. The Asian restaurant in the hotel is fantastic but expensive.
