I liked the location,the upkeep was also very good ,what i didn't like was staff attitude it was careless and not welcomingat all , the restaurant never answers the phone for room service, the front desk didn’t care at all about that,we booked a room for 2 adultsand 2 kids ,but we got was 4 befs cramped in a small room ,i visit zurich all the time with my family ,i cannot say that i will stay in this novatel .Thank you.

There was absolutely no facilities which are bare minimum, like - no iron board or coffee machine or water bottles in the room. Staff was not available most of the time to make the sofa bed, and the worst of all - no one picks up the front desk phone. You literally need to walk down to them every time. Breakfast was decent and locality is well connected.

Budget Novotel

Certainly not the usual standard of a Novotel - it was connected to sister hotel the Ibis and it certainly felt like they put a lick of blue paint on an Ibis. By far the poorest Novotel I’ve stayed in but comfortable for a lower end hotel.

Room was little small for us couple with 2 kids but not bad. You get what you pay for. Very conveniently located from old town, 15 minutes tram ride away. Tram is actuly 2 minute walk. Great brakfast, nice pool, customer servicw great. Microwave not in the room but in the lobby. Play area for kids. Very nice environment. Will definitely recommend for family travel.

Worst of the Novotel we have stayed

Vacation | Family We had a horrible experience at Novotel. Firstly we had prepaid two rooms for 2 nights. We were stuck in Zermatt due to storm and messaged asking them to cancel one day and requested if they can refund. They didn't respond. Next day we messaged letting them know that we are on the way and we will be checkinf in for the night, again no response. When we finally made it late at 9 PM for 2nd night. They said our booking doesn't exist and after showing the receipt amd proof of my emails they said they gave our rooms due to no-show. The receptionist was very rude. When I asked at the bar if I could order take out for kids; the staff was rude and and said no instead of helping me. Eventually after arguments the rooms thry gave us were a downgrade from what we had booked. They basically charged us for two nights and gave us a downgraded room for one night. I have traveled and stayed in Novotel in Paris, Brussels, Costa Rica but never had such a bad experience.

Liked the easy 5 minute walk to Hardbrucke rail station. It's in a quiet and safe area of the city. The pool was good although a little on the cool side. The room was quite spacious and comfortable. We slept really well.
