The property was a great value and reasonably comfortable but the bathroom is in need of updating - the floor is buckling in front of the shower, and the patch job inside the shower was badly done. The worst part is the noise from Highway 50 which doesn’t really let up. I think its location should at least be noted in description.

Highway 50 stay

Very noisy with rundown cheap furniture including the matress. Felt dangerous to enter and leave the parking right on the highway even though the map on VRBO initially showed propert was on the cove.

Disappointed

Foremost, this is not Dog friendly, the front door is 30 feet from an extremely busy, high speed road and there is virtually no egress for dog walking without being inches from speeding cars. Do not bring dogs or small children here. When first reviewing the general location on VRBO it seemed it would be within an ideal neighborhood for dogs and quiet stay in Tahoe. Nope. Right on a very busy highway that can be heard easily all the time in the property. Had I known a precise location I would not have booked this! By design… Basic cleanliness was ok, surfaces, bedding and towels, but a closer look reveals filth on base boards, cabinetry, door frames, etc. But wait…NO hot water! None! Called when we figured this out during first round of showers and were responded to quickly but just that they had called handyman and plumber. That was it. Never fixed, no follow up. For the overall cost of $800+ with cleaning and dog deposit etc. it was a TERRIBLE value.

Think Twice

Let me first say, I depend on the reviews of others in making a decision to book a place. So with that being said, I must provide my honest experience with this property. #1: the location sucks, it is on an extremely dangerous corner of a very busy highway and the unit is located directly on this highway (no side street). It is challenging to pull in + out. #2: This is the dirtiest place I've ever rented. The dishes were still dirty in the cabinets, there was dog hair on the floor + bedding (makes you wonder if it was even really cleaned). Sadly I peaked under the bed and it was full of dust, dirt and just yuck. There were cobwebs on ceiling in bathroom. I honestly was shocked. #3: Kitchen appliances etc. were limited. There was not even a single skillet to cook with. I had to go purchase one at the store and took it home with me. #4. There was construction going on in nearby units, not so appealing. ----- And for those reasons, perhaps along with some others, we will NEVER stay here again NOR would I advise it to be rented until it has been fixed up a bit. It was the worst. Ugh.
