I would definitely stay at this hotel again, but next time I would request a different room. The room was extremely hot like a sauna even with the heating turned off and the window open. It was located above the pool, and you could feel the heat coming up through the floor. I dined in the restaurant and the food was excellent.

Very good value for money. Good setvice. Very clean. Nice ambiance. Stable wifi. Lovely breakfast. Enjoyed the pool and jacuzi. Parking outside hotel a little cramped. Power cut on my side of the building in the evening and not turned back on until after I had checked out in the morning. Had to shower in the dark and was unable to charge any work or personal devices. Breakfast was very good.

hotel very handy for shops etc. very good room (3) surprised really. all the usual bed bath shower etc but this room included a lounge area and a bit of a kitchen area. sink fridge and for some reason a dish washer . in the cupboards was one plate . no glasses so we was baffled. the room was a bit warm but wasnt a problem . The bar is ok but could do with more choice of real beers breakfast we had Washington grill which was very tasty. for those visiting Cumbria this hotel is 30 min drive from keswick or you can go via a bus which goes via Cockermouth.Train station is 15 min walk and you can go to Carlisle, 25 mins roughly,or along coast ,repair works permitting, to barrow seeing places like st bees , drigg or grange over sands. overall a good nights stay. a big thankyou to all the staff
